Can anyone explain what the bounce rate is in simple terms? I have watched my go from
around 80% to 25%. I understand that this is a good thing, but I don't know what it me

The bounce rate is the percentage of website visitors who leave without clicking on any other pages or taking further action. A high bounce rate can indicate visitor disinterest or a poor user experience, while a low bounce rate suggests engagement and interest.

Bounce rate is simply the percentage of people who leave your website (or bounce) after viewing just one page.

So if 10 people arrive at your website and all 10 leave without exploring any other page, your bounce rate would be 100%

If 10 arrive at your site and 8 explore deeper into it, clicking on links, reading articles, etc., your bounce rate would be 20%.

The lower your bounce rate, the more engaged people are on your content.

Thank you, Eric, for making it clear. I thought that was the case but its been a bit of a tough week and I just couldn't make sense if it But as always WA Community comes through

No prob!

When visitors look at your page/post, they can hang around and read the content, click on stuff, share, show interest, etc. That's good. Or they look at the page and say, "meh, I don't care", and move on rather quickly. They bounced off like a ball would bounce off from a wall. They don't stick around.

Thank You. I had a tough week and couldn't work it out. But I can see now the rain has gone LOL
Thank you

No problem. I like to make things simple :)

You can look at Jay's training on bounce rate or type in bounce rate using the magnifying glass at the top for more answers
Here is Jay's training on that

Thank you, kind sir Im on to it now.

Great enjoy

Everything Wordpress

What do you like to use for writing your post content?
WordPress or Wealthy Affiliate Publish
Just curious about people's thoughts and reasons

I never use Site Content (if that's what you mean by Wealthy Affiliate Publish) preferring to do everything directly within WordPress.

I started writing within Site Content but found it easier to write directly through WP.

Great answers here. I love how there is always someone willing to give you their thoughts or advice

You're welcome :)

You have great answers below. I also use Site Content. The most common templates I use is Keyword Rich Content, Niche Research, and Review Template. As you write out the content you can obviously restructure it as you go.

Kevin and Son

I use Site Content for WA blog posts, and I use Wordpress for my website work.

Jeff

Hi Ian…I start in Site Content where I have a few templates, publish to WP and then add my links and make my final edits.

-Mike

I like using the WordPress Gutenberg block editor, along with Rank Math Pro SEO plugin. I agree with several folks who responded that Grammarly helps a lot too.

Howdy and Grammarly.

never heard of howdy can you possibly tell me more

Sure! "Howdy" is a casual greeting that is commonly used in Southern US, particularly in Texas. It is a contraction of the phrase "How do ye?" or "How do you do?" and is equivalent to saying "Hello" or "Hi". The word "howdy" is considered to be a friendly, informal way of greeting someone, and it is often associated with rural and small-town communities.

You had me going, lol Aussies say G'day and how are you going
I thought some magic writing program, lol

"Haha, sorry to disappoint! And thanks for the insight.

Grammarly.

so if i understand, you write it in Grammarly then copy and paste to WordPress

Yep, I edit all in Grammarly and plain paste in another editor so that I do not carry on any code from the previous editor.

Wow, what a great idea. I have used Grammarly for a long time. I'll look up the shortcuts to plain paste I've forgotten them. I regularly used Ctrl C and V for work. But it was all in house so code didn't matter

"Ctrl + Shift + V" for windows
"Command + Shift + V" for macs
