saying good bye.
I really had a lot of fun here at wealthy affiliate, seeing people grow and seeing others make a lot of money, and that was my goal, in fact I started with one site, and I tried really hard, but month after month goes by and nothing comes in, I pay and pay and I post and I post, content. Content post after Post enough money that I don't have cause I'm not working. and yet nothing is flowing in so I am here to say good bye, I can no longer afford to play this game, so have a good life, and I hope you all do good,.i have five sites and will continue to work them until they shut me down, unless a miracle comes along ..

If affiliate marketing was easy everyone would be doing it. You have worked so hard and I am sorry you haven't seen any light at the end of the tunnel. I know all about the darkness. I'm working at convincing my wife that the fees are a necessary evil to endure until you reap your harvest. Leo is correct, always work one site only until it begins to earn an income before beginning a new site. Like fighting a war on several fronts, you're asking for trouble.
I wish you much success and good fortune in your online future. Hostgator maybe a good host for you.
God Bless You!
Ken
Sorry to see you go so soon.
Maybe “sleep on it”, take a break from your websites for a few days and then come back with fresh eyes and enthusiasm.
Concentrate maybe on your favorite niche and leave the others for now. Give it time - be patient and your efforts will pay off.
Take the pressure off of yourself and instead of working on your niche for solely monetary gain, use it as therapy instead. When your stressed or not feeling your best or you’ve just had a bad day, look to your favorite niche and write something. Doing something you enjoy always makes you feel better.
Good luck :)
Sorry to see you go - for what's it's worth I would focus on just one site and pour all your energy into that site. Having 5 sites at once does not increase your chances of success, in fact it can reduce it because your focus is spread all over the place. Get one site to profit first.
I agree with Loes, In order to achieve success, you need to give yourself adequate time to achieve success. Most people end up quitting just prior to themselves they have in their breakthrough in business, which is the reason most fail.
If you don't quit, you cannot fail. I'm sorry to see you leave, but I hope you do change your mind or make your way back to WA in the future.
It's a pity you are throwing in the towel within half a year, I always say, when you start-up a carpentry, you need tools $2500,- a shed $2000,- a car $2000,-
protecting clothes, gasoline, invest in material etc...
And to get to the profit you need to work 80 hours a week for over a year, if you manage it within a year...
What would happen when you invest $359 and worked 80 hours a week for over a year?
Wishing you success in all future endeavors. Anything worth having takes time and patience and although I have not been here as long as you have, I experience the same frustrations.
It is easy to stand on the side and say stick to it, the traffic will come but you need to make the decision with the knowledge that you can continue to develop your existing sites and come back when the situation changes.
Again best of luck and I am certain this is a difficult decision but it is better to make a decision than no decision. Jay
I too am interested in what niche you are involved to understand better how the community can help you.
I started just over 2 months ago in the evergreen make money niche, I have almost 40 posts on site and in the first 2 months I have made $165... I know it's not a lot however I was not even expecting this.
I understand it can be very frustrating when things don't happen as fast as we would like them to happen however please look at the bigger picture and my advise would be hang in there. Do whatever you have to do and hang in there.
When I get frustrated I always go back to the Realistic Timescales training done by Kyle ... see below:
Here is what a REALISTIC JOURNEY online looks like..
MONTH 1: Accomplishments
Website Set Up
SEO Set-up
Initial Framework of Content
Indexed in Google, Bing, Yahoo
You have 5-10 posts on your website
Earning Potential: A few sales, just getting your business foundation started
MONTH 3: Accomplishments
Content Starting to Get Ranked
Experience Some Big Breakthroughs in Search
Have Made Your First Sale or Two
Traffic is Cumulatively Starting to Grow
Search Engines are starting to give your site "authority"
You have 30-60 posts on your website
Earning Potential: $0-$500 per month
**Note: It took me 3 months to make my first sale online. Here I am 15 years later full time online, if I quit in the first month I would have never gotten to experience of lifelong and very fruitful business online. There is something to be said about being patient and not expecting "instant" success in business.
MONTH 6: Accomplishments
Traffic is starting to flow, ideally 100 uniques per day
Sales start to increase with consistency, several per week
You are truly starting to gain some expertise and brand
Bing/Yahoo start indexing your site at a higher rate
Engagement on your site starts to increase
You have 60-100 posts on your site
Earning Potential: $500-$3,000 per month
ONE YEAR:
Traffic is really starting ramp up. You can expect 500+ uniques per day
Google is granting your site with some serious authority
Companies and other blogger start to reach out and connect with you
Your are making WA sales and other affiliate sales daily
The Vegas Super Affiliate Conference is in your sites
You have 100-150 posts on your website
Earning Potential: $3,000-$10,000 per month
TWO YEARS:
Your business is truly starting to thrive
You are definitely a noticeable force in the search engine world. Google ranks your new content with 24 hours of it being posted.
You are earning a full time income online
Vegas is yours, you have most definitely made it
You have 200-300 posts on your site
Earning Potential: $10,000-$20,000 per month
5 YEARS:
Your are a brand/authority in the industry
You have a full time+ business online, likely 6 figures plus annually
Google, Bing & Yahoo love you
You are taking earnings and spending it to drive your business through paid channels
You likely have made several hires, including writers, design help, and a virtual assistant
You made Vegas in the first 1-2 months of the year (with your sites on the 3,000 sales)
You are in a position to double your business annually
Earning Potential: $10,000-$50,000 per month
But remember, you are building a business here. You get OUT of your business what you put INTO it. Ask any successful person what the fundamental reason why they are successful and others are not and they will usually say one of two things. Hard Work or Focus.
.....................
Please stick around and ask for help from the community if you are not sure about anything.
Wish you much success.

I would be happy to se 100 dollars come in, all i'm seeing is petty cash under 100 per month, from amazon, I do have a few more tricks up my sleeve but when I post on facebook I get blocked by facebook and twatter but ohwell .
Where are you posting on Facebook? On your profile page or business page? If you post on your profile page FB can shut down your account as profile page is not meant for business. .
I would persevere and see what others are doing who have been successful, and I would certainly wait for at least the 1-year mark.
I would be interested to know in which niches you are involved with?
One thing that I don't agree with is this follow your passion "bs" and the money will come.
If you think about it logically, you can have all the passion in the world but if the niche isn't a profitable one then everything will be in vain, and all you will pick up is scraps.
You can always find a passion for something though especially if it's profitable and you see some returns.
I actually started back-end of July and haven't made a dime, but I only have 12 posts which I am now going to ramp up considerably, and don't expect to see any benefits until the 6-12 month mark.
Some are banging out at least 1 post a day which is what I am aiming for.

Before WA I didn't have any confidence with other stuff I got involved with until I came here and my attitude now is to stick with this and make it work, not to give up after a few months.
You need to get through that feeling you have now.
Hi, appreciate how you've spoken out your unyielding results and the true feelings you are feeling now.
But my friend, success often tests our patience. And, when troubles come, they come in battalions.
When a big event is about to happen, it is often preceded by disappointment, anxieties and the like.
I must tell you to hang on. This might be a magical moment to blast off.
Cheers!

I am so sorry to see you go, but I know where you are coming from.
It is hard to watch the money go out month after month with nothing in return. I, myself am considering this as well.
I wish you luck and happiness as you move forward.
Really hate to see you go!!
