Very easy way in Wordpress to change the color of some features on your site
We’re visual by nature. And colors play an important role on our website. We can edit the colors of some features and enhance the user experience of visitors to our site. Here in this post, we'll give you 3 steps for newbies to modify the color of some features on your site. But you must bear in mind that each theme is different. Not all themes allow the same features to be modified. So we are going to take a look at three themes and you can later take a look at the theme you have selected to see what it allows you to modify. These 3 easy steps are:
1.) First you must login to the back office of your Wordpress.
2.) Then you must go to “Appearance” and after that click “Customize”.
3.) And finally go to "Colors".
Example 1: Fashify Theme
I'm using a theme called Fashify, and it allows me to change the color of: a.) title of my site, b.) links to Categories, c.) items in the main menu.
With Fashify: Editing “Header text color” will modify the color of the title of my site. Editing “Primary color” will modify the color of links to Categories, dates and author. And editing “Secondary color” will modify the color of the main menu.
In the picture below you can take a look at the texts that are linked to “Header text color”, “Primary color” and “Secondary color” in the Fashify Theme.
Example 2: Twenty Sixteen Theme
Here’s an example with another theme. This one is called Twenty Sixteen. And it allows you to change the color of more features than the Fashify theme does. The picture showed below has a very awkward color-selection, just to let you see all the colors that can be modified in this theme.
Example 3: TheNotes Lite Theme
And here is a third example using a theme called “TheNotes Lite”. This theme only allows you to modify the background as it’s showed in the picture below.
As we said at the beginning, each theme is different and each theme allows different features to be modified. There are even some themes that do not have the “Color” option.
So, our recommendation when you want to modify colors in your theme, is to first check what your theme allows you to modify following these easy 3 steps (Appearance/Customize/Color). As long as you're happy with the results, this post has accomplished it's goal! But if there are still things you want to change their color and your theme does not let you do it, don’t panic! You can still change colors of links, texts, etc, following some videos prepared by fellow members.
Suppose you want to specifically change the color of your links independently of the theme that you have chosen, you can take a look at this video created by Marion Black.

And if you want to specifically change the text colors for your entire website independently of the Theme that you have chosen, you can take a look at this other video also created by Marion Black.

Hi, Song! Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment! I always remember your good sense of humor. I took a look at your new website and it’s looking great! A new business is like a new baby – you have to give it birth, nurture it, feed it and grow it until it begins to function by itself. Congrats on the birth of your new baby! :)
Thanks Henry II, for the encouraging words. Just signed up to Google Analytics on 27 sept, and until now 16 users...small baby steps! And thanks for visiting! Long live the king!
Not all themes have those options. For themes that are not so easy to customize I have videos to help Custom CSS: Change Link Colors Site-Wide Custom CSS: Change Font Color Site-Wide Custom CSS: Change Font Family Site-Wide Custom CSS: Change Font Size Site-Wide
Thank you, Marion! Your tutorials, videos, and posts here at WA are awesome and I have personally benefited from them. Thank you very much for your guidance. And I have included some of these links directly in the post because they are very relevant! Who snuggles up to good tree, good shade shelters him.
Oops! Your links are not working. I always use copy and paste from the address bar of my browser.

I'm afraid it's theme dependent, many themes such as Ad-Mag won't have these options, ie. http://d.pr/i/VKMlZf and others like Customizr will have a more extensive set http://d.pr/i/yKalh5
