In my blog posts, should my tags be the same as my keywords or should they be shorter and more concise?
Or, am I missing the point totally of what tags are?</
It's great to follow the training that EKautz pointed out, just remember when you are putting in your tags, they have to be words that already exist in your post. That's important. At least that's my understanding.
Check this out, Nathaniell explains tags well - What Are Tags And How To Use Them Continue to use keywords as you learned in the training.
ROCK ON!

Good question. They say that "tags" aren't really necessary as Google analytics doesn't use them. Keywords can be a phrase that is used (exactly) a few times in the blog content. I think tags are generally more single-word subjects that are relevant to the topic.

Thanks for the tip. I found in Facebook you can update the attachment image which is good. It just wouldn't take the one I made as my default page image..

Thanks everyone for your input. This is all great information and most of these are sites I've never heard of.
I can't wait to check them out.
You might have come across these sites in your searchings but they are the ones I keep book-marked.
publicdomainfiles.com
cupcake.nilssonlee.se
freenaturestock.com
negativespace.co
libreshot.com
calker.com
pdpics.com
pickupimage.com
I use publicdomainfiles most often. Hope you have some luck finding images. I know it can be difficult thus the 8 sites I keep on hand.
Pexels (https://www.pexels.com/) is also a good source.
Your best approach is probably to have a number of sources on hand and use their search features to find what you need.
Unfortunately, free sites are limited.
You might find that you need to get creative with the images you choose or even take your own. The alternative is to pay for stock photos, but that gets expensive fast.
Pixabay is very good, as Alyssa says.
Here are some more sources Free Images, free photo's, free cliparts, free pictures

I was in a different niche but usually found what I needed, with the right usage licenses. And no registration was required
Hi Chris,
You can search in Google, advanced searched and choose for commerce. Hope this helps.
All the best,
Kit
Very nice. Thank you very much. I did not know you could filter Google Image search this way.

On my site http://smarthomewithchris.com/ I am trying to figure out how to increase the amount of content shown in
Increasing the length of the summary will require changing the code of the theme. I don't recommend it at this point.
I would also try to use a smaller "featured image", and see if that changes the layout of your home page. Sometimes they are not automatically resized.
The look of the home page is a minor issue right now. I'd wait for a few more blog posts to see how it looks with more content before doing anything drastic. Minor design elements in the beginning will not affect conversions or traffic, so I wouldn't worry too much about this.
Hi BarbJaeb,...On many home pages I've seen, there will be a list of the "latest posts" from a blogger.
Each post has a "preview" of its content, usually with 4-5 lines of content before the "Read More" link or button.
Unfortunately, on my site, http://smarthomewithchris.com/, it only displays 1 1/2 lines of text before the "Read More" button.
I don't feel like this gives the reader enough information to determine whether or not they wish to read the article...
But, I can't figure out how to increase that.
I've attached a screen shot of the blog post summary page for your reference.
Thanks,
Chris
ok, while in "text" mode, place your cursor where you'd like the cut off, click the "read more" button, click update. That should do it.
Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I've tried that in a few different spots on the article, but it still does not change the size of the summary.
I even tried removing the image on the blog post, but nothing seems to affect the preview page.
Could it possibly be a bug with this Theme?
I don't know. Try typing your question in the "need help" bar at the top of the WA page. I've had a lot of luck finding answers there.

Tags are words reflecting what the post is all about. You should have at least three key words, one in the title one in the introduction and, the last key word somewhere in the main body of the text. This is important for google indexing. Hope this helps. Irv.
Thanks for the tip.
