In my blog posts, should my tags be the same as my keywords or should they be shorter and more concise?
Or, am I missing the point totally of what tags are?</
It's great to follow the training that EKautz pointed out, just remember when you are putting in your tags, they have to be words that already exist in your post. That's important. At least that's my understanding.
Check this out, Nathaniell explains tags well - What Are Tags And How To Use Them Continue to use keywords as you learned in the training.

Good question. They say that "tags" aren't really necessary as Google analytics doesn't use them. Keywords can be a phrase that is used (exactly) a few times in the blog content. I think tags are generally more single-word subjects that are relevant to the topic.

Tags are words reflecting what the post is all about. You should have at least three key words, one in the title one in the introduction and, the last key word somewhere in the main body of the text. This is important for google indexing. Hope this helps. Irv.
