Check Your Website Traffic on Google Search Console!
I must admit, sometime I find it counter-productive when I come across blogs by other members boasting (albeit unintentionally, I am sure) about their progress and the money they have made.
But today I would like to share with you my findings of last night when I went onto the newly refurbished Google Search Console to check on my websites' traffic.
Yes, this is my first website (picture above), which only in the last 3 months has received 77,7K impressions (the number of times people see my posts, reviews and pages) and a surprising 5.8K clicks - yes, 5.8K times that a visitor actively clicked on one of my pages, posts or reviews!!!
Now, for those of you who are not familiar with my first website, LivingWithABorderTerrier.com (yes, it's to do with dogs in general, and more specifically with Border Terriers, and if you are interested, you can find the link at the bottom of the column on the right-hand side of my profile page), I launched it back in March 2016, when I first joined here.
But hey, what am I telling you all this for?
Because, my dear friends, I want to show you that, by working your socks off for the last 2 and half years, I have managed to get these many clicks, just in the last 3 months.
And at the risk of sounding cliche here, truly if I could do it, with a website centred on my favourite and quite specialist niche, so can you!!!
Yes, I know to some of you this might not sound a lot. But to me finding this report on Google Search Console really made my day yesterday.
It is proof and testament to the fact that by following WA teachings to the letter, by working hard (as I am sure we all are) and with perseverance and patience, we really can break all the SEO ranking barriers. We can and will get noticed with our work, we will then start attracting visitors regularly. And with visitors, we will convert and start monetizing.
My referral sales are becoming more regular. The only reason why I am still only making a modest earning is due to the fact that I have mostly used Amazon products on this specific website. I sell Amazon products easily, but Amazon commission rates are ridiculously low. So, before you go for Amazon, look around for better offers.
I hope you haven't found my little success story counter-productive too. My aim here is to show you that, once again, if I could do it, so can you.
I want you to leave here believing that you will succeed too, just with a little bit of patience and plenty of determination.
I believe in you :)

Thank you Paul. But, from your profile update, I can see that you have now walked the walk and have recently become a full time blogger. I should probably take a leaf from you. I shall definitely look into your work for inspiration :)
Great post and yes with that determination, persistence, and a lot of passion anyone can do it. That is the success in this business. Yes, we can is the motto here. Thank you for sharing your successes with us.
Best wishes
Marmar
You are so very welcome sorry it has taken me so long to get back in touch with you still recovering.
Best wishes

Hey GiuliaB,
Thanks for sharing. Multiple stream of income is something we should look into then.

Hiv Guilia and well done on your effort and the rewards.
I have a couple of affiliate programs for dogs you might like to take a look at
Fitbark.com and Petmate.com
I wish you continued success on your awesome journey
Vicki
Thank you ever so much for the 2 affiliate programs you suggest. I should definitely look into their program, especially as recently I've advertised an online dog training program which is accredited in training practices, but seems to mess customers around when it comes to processing payments and, most worryingly, refunds (!!!). Thanks again Vicky.

Giulia, my lovely friend, your post is sooo good. I think it is great that you share your progress and success.
I really have to visit Google Search Console and check my website traffic. Have been away from home the last week and didn't work on my website nor posting on Facebook. I suppose the traffic is going down. Better do something about it.
Happy for you having so many vistiors!
Send my regards to your sweet Indy!
:-)
Pernilla my dear friend, how nice to hear from you!!
I hope you had a nice week off. Sometimes we need to get away from it all, in order to 'recharge our brain batteries'.
Yes, do check Google Search Console, not only for your web traffic, but also for fetching every post, page and review individually. Here's a training I put together a while ago about fetching: Why fetch and render on Google Search Console I'll definitely pass your love to my Baby Indy. I'll tell him, those special kisses and cuddles are from Auntie P :)
How sweet of you to greet your baby Indy from me. Yes, lots of kisses and cuddles for him, please!
So great, your training. I want to read it thouroughly.
Yes, I had a wonderful time. My sister and I took part in a women's race in Paris. It was so exciting (just for fun and fitness) starting and ending the race at the foot of the Eiffeltower. 22'000 girls running!!
Wish you good night, Giulia.
Big hugs,
:-D
