About GiuliaB
Joined March 2016
Hi all, my name is Giulia (yes, Italian origins from the funny spelling, you will have gathered). Like many of you I guess, what's prompted me to join WA is the fact that after working for sooo many years for employers - and don't get me wrong, I feel blessed that I have always been able to be in employment - I am now reaching that cross road point in life where I feel the need to dedicate more time to my family but with no detriment to my earnings. And that's why I have been looking to alternative ways to work from home whilst reducing my office hours, without my income having to suffer. And I shall be honest, of all the ventures I have come across, this is the first one not to sound scam.

I have now been with WA for over a year as a Premium member, and I do not regret a single penny (yes, it is pennies, as I pay in pound sterling being based in U.K.) of the $299 I have spent on my yearly subscription at all!! The teaching you get here, the support of over 800,000 members, what this platform gives you in term of access to tools, information and on-one training, is all second to none stuff. And now I can also start seeing my baby websites starting maturing into teenagers and attracting lots of attention from readers, hence starting hitting the front page of Google search, which is most vital for exposure.

Now, I have to be honest, the road has been steep, trying to balance my day job with the daily demands of my family and the added pressure of wanting to get my online business going. Like with all other jobs, especially the self-employed ones, you need to be prepared to put in the hours and tons of commitment. But the outcome makes it worth for all the hours that I have sacrificed to the expense of a good night sleep.

There's still so much to learn and do in terms of taking my business forward and start monetising from it, but with your support I can make this happen. Lets share experiences and learn from each other. Join me here at WA and don't feel shy to follow my profile!!!

Hello GiuliaB,
I share your feeling of being overwhelmed at times. I am retired from my Professional job so I thought I would have lots of time to work on my WA endeavor. However, there seems to always be events that take time away from this effort. I love working on this and feel confident we all can make our goals happen. I am certainly learning a lot; and the more I learn, the more I realize there is much more to study.

Your little dog in the photo is precious! Best wishes.

Aaah Barbara, my Indy is really our precious and beloved baby - especially now that my human 17 year old 'baby'is growing faster by the day. And you are right, the more you get into this, the more there is to learn and to find out. But I'm still here, and still enjoying every minute of it... and more!!

Hi GiuliaB,
Wonderfully inspiring words. I am just under a month here at WA, and I am still in awe at how awesome this membership is. I recently launched my baby here at WA too, and continue to nourish it daily in hopes that it will grow into a respectful teenager and a well-adjusted adult someday. Thank you for sharing a little of your story. I am following.

Kindest regards,

Hi Giulia, I'm in the same boat as far a job, family etc. I am looking at this as a hobby and am having tons of fun learning.
So much good information. I spend about 2 to 4 hours a day and still get the sleep! My thought is slow and steady wins the race. I am taking notes during the lessons and treating the learning like a classroom except it's waaay more interesting!

It will become more hard work as you progress, Maryann, but the fun will never stop. At times you may get frustrated, but so long as you never loose sight of your end goal, even if that goal remained the hobby aspect of this business rather than revenue. At the end of the day, as Kyle says, the secret to the success in this business is to write with your heart, and not for the sake of money.

All the best, Maryann, and by all means do give us a shout if you need any help.

Hi GiuliaB....thanks for the follow. Well we both agree that we should count our blessings and be thankful for were we are today... in life. And it's wonderful to be able to free up some time to be with our families. Time plus income gives us the freedom to do so.
Yes the support from WA is second to none and the best there is. ....right? Everything in life that is worthwhile and for some reason..... takes "time". That's just the way it is. I believe that the shortest distance from where we are..... to "Success" is our foundation...."WA"...
By the way do we ever stop learning? Isn't LIFE 'S journey an education from which we NEVER graduate...

Ooooh, I like that picture you have created in my mind, Thomas, of WA being the foundation to our success. Brilliant!
And no, absolutely not, we never stop learning. And that's why I suspect so many members are still here after joining so many years ago: because WA and its community keeps people abreast of all the new and latest developments in the world of online business. Which for many here is their full time living.
Let's keep in touch, Thomas!!

Hi I am following you back.
I am also based in the UK. WA is fantastic isn't it, I feel honored to be a part of it.
I was wondering how you managed to get front page on Google as I have really tried to find the best keywords for my niche but still do not seem to be getting front page at all.
I started around 6 months ago, and work 3 days a week at my day job and have 3 children so I know how time consuming life can get but it is such an accomplishment when you hit another milestone here at WA.
Thank you for following me, lets stay in touch.

3 days at work and 3 children to look after? How do you manage to fit in WA, Rosella??? I struggle with 1 teenager, 1 husband and a dog!!!
The google ranking will come with time, no matter how impressive keywords you find. I think I got lucky with one post particularly, which is still going strong now, about a specific condition to border terriers, and which has of course attracted the attention of Border Terrier owners in this country. But to be honest, I didn't start ranking well till month 8 or so.
And yes, let's definitely keep in touch :)

Definately disable this blockade of javascript and cookies, if it interferes with a great interaction motivation, as it did in my case!
I absolutely loved your article about why a dog will not want to be Alpha if he sleeps in your bed, that it's just the closeness to the ones he loves....

It tells me that I have to enable javascript and cookies to continue, and that leads me out of the comments section completely, with no chance to save the comment.
Not sure how it can be fixed, I haven't got these on my site yet.
Maybe there's a part about it in an Enable Comments training?
Or maybe we should ask a question.......

It will be challenge but I think with the effort and hard work it is doable. I too am grateful that I have always been employed but I am looking into ways to generate income without taking a loss or a hit. Scammers are everywhere. I researched this company WA and so far good. In fact one former WA affiliate had trash WA on Rip Off . com only to retract her allegations a few months later. I thought that was actually a good indicator for both the former WA member and the company. Most people don't realized that you can't trash a company or individual without recourse. In other words, the allegations have to based on truth. Obviously her statements were not which may indicate that WA's legal eagles may have stepped in and explained the facts of life OR she may have realized that she had overstepped bounds by untrue allegations. I thought it was really sign.

Good luck to you.
Reply
GiuliaB Premium
Excellent insight Marian, I might look into it, not as I think there may be some truth to the allegations, but rather which grounds were used to discredit the allegations. And who knows, I may end up doing a blog about it :)

Unfortunately internet users seem to think that they just go off on anyone or any company without o consequences. What folks don't know is that they can be sued for libel. There was a recent case in NY, I think the plaintiff was awarded a 7 figure settlement for damages. It is a risky business to defame anyone or any company without proof. Excellent idea about the blog....

I want this to be you and I want you to succeed with your promotions. So, please promise me that if you ever need a hand or feel stuck as you move forward, that you will get in touch with me!

Cool, looks like you are making some really good progress Giulia and that you are true terrier fan! ;)

I do have a recommendation though, I find your header images are far too large and take away from your actual content. People need to scroll down in order to see your content. The visuals and the relevant imagery should be placed directly inside your content instead of a static and overwhelming header that shows on every page.

I would either minimize these or remove them altogether, they are not offering much value to your readers and they do consume a good part of the first fold of all of your pages (on your terrier site). Just something to consider.
Reply
GiuliaB Premium
Funny you say that, Kyle, as I've been toying with the idea of whether to add header pics or not for a long time.. The size is the one suggested by the theme, but it has only been a recent addition. But you are right, they are far too deterring from the content underneath. Thanks for the advice, my friend, I shall definitely remove them. And of course, thanks for taking the time to look into my site xxx
