How Will You Finish?
We've all heard the saying its not how you start but how you finish... and its a "saying" because its true. Some people never attempt anything in life and so they don't have to worry about starting or finishing strong as they never do anything. However, most people in life can start strong. However, let them encounter one obstacle, one hiccup, or one speed bump in life and they throw in the towel and come up with some way to reason things out as to why they had to quit.
How many members has Wealthy Affiliate had in its lifetime.... thousands! Did they all finish? No. Some moved on for valid reasons I'm sure but others just gave up when they didn't make their first internet dollar in the first week or the first month.
I can tell you from experience that making your first dollar online will take work, commitment, some late nights with coffee on your desk, and some early morning hours. But its worth it! Just don't quit! Shake the quit out of yourself and get up and move.
A few pieces of advice.
1. If something isn't working - CHANGE. No, I didn't say quit, i said CHANGE. Don't beat your head against a wall if its just not working... tweak it, ask for advice, ask for help, take a week off and just sit down with a pad of paper and a pencil and think about this thing until you can make a good decision or have a 'bright' idea on what to do next.
2. Help someone else. I've found that helping other people stirs up the creative juices. I love helping people and I've experienced one of those 'bright ideas' not long after spending consider time helping someone else with their dream.
To sum this up.... start strong but finish stronger. You can do this.

Thanks for the inspiration, Gary! I'm big on the helping someone else part of that. It does more for the helper than the helpee. Thanks for sharing!

You are right about the tendency of people to quit when they dont get immediate rewards from their hard work. I've been doing this for about six weeks. Haven't made one cent. Instead, I have been working on building my site with quality content. I'm going to start working on monetizing my site but I know that, if I'm not helping people than I won't ever make money. It all boils down to quality content that meets the needs of my audience. It's okay for it tob take time for me to learn how to do that. I'm going to keep trying and asking for feedback. No quitting here!
