It's time for your daily dose of Wordpress Wisdom! In today's quick tutorial I'll show you how to add and edit galleries into your Wordpress posts. Adding individual images using the image block is something most of us are very used to doing, but by using the Gallery block we can display multiple images at once, beautifully arranged to elevate the user experience. And thanks to the block editor this is really easy to do!

Another Great video and explanation, Eric!

Jeff

Glad you enjoyed it!

I did, Eric! I have just been behind a bit! Keep doing what you do!

Jeff

I just love sitting back and watching your short but sweet videos. The kids are in bed so I have literally ‘sat back’ and watched you showcase away! Thanks Eric 😊

That's awesome! I'm glad you're enjoying them and learning along the way :)

thanks Eric. Any more advanced videos on gallery use for being able to click on an image in the gallery and have it open in a pop up as a larger jpeg ? I think someone mentioned to use a lightbox plugin ? by the way you have a very robust/good voice for doing these videos...Could work in radio/tv as well with that quality !

Man I appreciate that! You know I had never, ever, even remotely thought of my voice as radio-friendly, lol, but I've had so many people tell me that after sitting in on my expert classes. Thanks man!

And guess what, you don't need a plugin at all to get that expanded view effect! I tell you what, I'll do a Wordpress Wisdom follow up to this tutorial on galleries tomorrow showing some "advanced" techniques like blowing up the image for a detailed look. That would be great for photography niche sites.

Great question! I'll message you here when it's done :)

that sounds excellent man. I will look forward to it. Yes for sure the voice is fairly deep, clear and for sure media type of quality and without any south Texas twang to it (if there is a twang in that area as you as maybe getting more into Latino "como se dice" style. By the way not too many learning training systems out there with such fast response from some of the leaders and whereby a class/tutorial is generated for all to use. Excellent service at WA !!!

WA's the best!
Como se dice...Thanks man! 😂

Excellent little tip as always here Eric, the gallery block is one we all should know how to use!

Take care buddy!

👍🍻

Agreed! Glad you liked this!

As always my friend!!

👍🍻

I feel like an idiot, LOL! I never knew about the galleries block, and I struggled with trying to display multiple images in a row just using the image block. Well, now I know I can use galleries.
Thanks Eric!

Winner! That's what it's all about! Glad this came in handy for you :)

I just did the exact same thing with my work website.
This is a no brainer, now!

Where were you 2 days ago, Eric?

Just kidding! Thanks a ton!

Tim 🎼

You're very welcome!
