How to Add and Create Tags for your Wordpress Website
It's time for your daily dose of Wordpress Wisdom! In today's quick tutorial I'll be showing you how to add and create tags for your posts in your Wordpress website. Most of us are familiar with creating categories and assigning posts to those categories, but tags are basically like "sub-categories", going a little more specific in detail, adding another level of organization to our site. This not only allows our audience to better understand the kind of content we have to offer but it also allows Google to better understand what our content is about.

thanks Eric! I am a new member and have started creating posts. I am confused about whether I am supposed to mention Wealthy Affiliates in each post, or am I simply creating posts of value and interest. New to all this but enjoying each step. ...Linda
Depends on what your niche is. If your niche has nothing to do with WA then no, you wouldn’t mention WA at all. If you’re niche is the make money online niche promoting WA then every single piece of content you right should have some form of intent to drive the traffic to WA. That doesn’t mean every post is suddenly a review post, it means you can write articles covering every aspect of the training inside WA. You could create articles on how to choose a niche, how to build a website, along with reviews of the countless other training platforms out there. Your hub will give you plenty of ideas for content no matter your niche so you’ll never run out of things to write about.

I added the plugin you suggested in a different video for adding snippets. Google is still telling me that there is no Google tag on my site. I thought that was taken care of either with the plugin or site kit but apparently not. Where/how do I add a Google tag?
Yup, that’s all you need. 👍🏼 In another video I show how you can check for yourself that the code is placed. The tutorial was for Adsense code but it applies regardless of the type. How to Add Google Adsense Code to Your Website (Verify Ownership) Don’t forget to empty your website’s cache via Site Manager, otherwise Google will be seeing the cached version which may not have the placed code.
