How to Add Code (Meta tag) to Your Header in Wordpress
it's time for your daily dose of Wordpress Wisdom! In today's quick tutorial I'll show you the easiest way to add code or add a meta tag to your header using a simple and easy to use free plugin called WP Code. Sometimes we are asked to add a meta tag to our header section as a way of verifying ownership of our site, or as a way of tracking things for Google Analytics, as an example, and instead of trying to get into the theme editor and potentially messing up that all important theme code and breaking our site, this alternative is simple, easy and much safer.
As always, feel free to share this video with anyone needing help with this. If you have any Wordpress related questions that you'd like to see me create a tutorial around feel free to send me a private message or leave me a message on my profile.
If you want to check out all my Wordpress Wisdom tutorials you can go to the WA smart search up top or just head over to my blog.
Be productive!
Get to work!
I'll see you next time!

Hi Eric,
Thank you for this quick tutorial. I had a quick question here?
Can we add multiple codes in Header section one below the other...for instance, first I copy past Pinterest verification code, then Google Analytics verification code and then something else?
Can I keep adding multiple codes in the header section ? And how do I differentiate one code with another - Do I need simply press enter and add the next code or add some space place the next code ?
Yup. Just hit enter after each one or leave a blank line so you can differentiate if you want to come back and remove one.
I hope I understood well. Does that mean we can also add an AdSense code like that? I added it with the help of Site Kid. But it was all really unknown to me. If you have any more tutorials on this I would love to see them. Thank you

Hi Eric, thank you so much for the explanation! I followed these steps yesterday, to add the FlexOffers meta-tag to my website, but it didn't work. When I click to verify, it says "We couldn't find the verification meta tag on your home page. Please check your meta tag or file location and try again." The instructions on their website are "Add a <meta> tag to your home page (proving that you have access to the source files). To use this method, you must be able to edit the HTML code of your site's pages." So I copied it and pasted it into the WPCode plugin. Do you have any idea what the problem is? Why didn't it work?
You probably just need to clear the cache that way it's seeing the updated version of your site ๐๐ผ. If you did it right the code is placed instantly.
