It's time for your daily dose of Wordpress Wisdom! In today's quick tutorial I'll be showing you how to add Google Adsense code to your website. If you're wanting to run ads on your site the very first step Google Adsense asks of you is to verify site ownership by adding a specific snippet of code to your website.

This is done very easily using an extremely user-friendly plugin that takes all the guesswork out of it and places the code exactly where it needs to be! Let me show you how it's done!

As always, feel free to share this video with anyone needing help with this. If you have any Wordpress related questions that you'd like to see me create a tutorial around feel free to send me a private message or leave me a message on my profile.

If you want to check out all my Wordpress Wisdom tutorials you can go to the WA smart search up top or just head over to my blog.

Be productive!
Get to work!
I'll see you next time!

Can I double check something: is the code placed on each page with this plug in? I have actually followed this tutorial and got my site verified, but they have requested to fix some issues before approving, and one of the recommendations (in one of their tutorials) says to put the code on the most visited page. How can it be done?

ownership verification is different ot adding the ads themselves...
not watched this but suspect you add it vai a plugin to add the code to the head section of your site - so this appears on every page that has a head section ....

This was so helpful. Since I requested verification prior to inserting the code in the plugin, I didn't get a choice of meta. I just copied the code for auto placements and put it in the header. Not sure it's the right code, but I do feel some relief after watching your video.

Great video post once again, Eric.

Thank you for all the informative video posts.

Please, I need your help on how to have a ''Cookie disclaimer'' on my website. Could you make a video of it?

My website was rejected on Google Adsense, and I realized that I didn't have some things in place, which include the following: Contact Me (thanks to you, I was able to do that from your Word Press wisdom on contact me.)

I wish to add the ''Cookie disclaimer'' before re-applying for Google Adsense.

I got the list of this ''To Dos'' from a video post here on WA by Encourager1; Or how do you think I can approach this from your professional point of view?

I wish you a nice weekend.

Thank you.

Hi Eric,

I followed your instructions to the letter on 2 of my Sites and get this error every time.

Couldn't verify your site
We couldn't verify your site. Make sure the changes you made to your site are published and accessible by the Google AdSense crawler. If you’re still having issues try another method.

I started over, removed to Header link on both site and get to the verify again - same thing??

Please help as I want to monetize both sites...One is still in development - would that matter??

Thanks,

Ron

Sometimes you just have to wait a bit just like I mention in the video.

You don’t want to remove the header tags because that’s the whole point of what you’re doing.

Follow the steps as shown, save your changes and confirm placement using the view source method I show. If you click to verify and it says it’s not verified just go about your business and go back to it later. 👍🏼 It just takes some time.

OK, thanks Eric! Will do!

Hello Eric

Thank you for this great video. It's always great to go back to the basic and I really like the look of the WP code plugin.

It will save me from having things the hard way next time I need to add Google AdSense code to one of my websites. I have been really enjoying you daily WordPress wisdom videos and I'm glad you are still doing them.

I have been watching them as you posted them each day and thought I would take the time to leave a comment this time. I do need a hand with something so I'll send you a PM when I have time if that's ok with you.

I look forward to next WordPress wisdom video. Thank you again for this great video. All the best to your success.

Regards

Timothy
