As always great tutorial.πŸ‘ Here's a challenge!

My site show many craft projects, using different materials, I need to have seasonal catergories, or even occasions catergories, then add sub-menus with links to those posts.

Although would this be too much cluttering in the navigation bar?

My thoughts are to have an 'image menu'.

It was suggested to add an Mega image menu plugin, it would help further the design to this. I can't work with code, so I would need something that is super easy to follow.

Based on your demo, could I not achieve the same solution without the plugin?

If this is too much to go into can I private message you with more details?

Sorry, this is long, but it might help others with similar issues. 😊

Personally I try to keep the menus as clean and easy to navigate as possible. So depending on how many categories you have, a simple drop down of categories would work just fine. But if you have more than 5-7 categories or so it could look cluttered. It just depends on how wordy those categories are and how it passes the eye test. πŸ‘πŸΌ

Julia if it was me I would create specific page and use locks if three images. Use one image for category and then when they click on the image it takes you to the topic it is like a visual menu

Hi Catherine it's an visual menu I want to create. Wondered if the mega image menu plugin will address this. Any clues?

no idea you just need to make a row block (add row )and then create two three or four blocks in that row. Depending on how many you want. then add in image to eack and link the image to wherever you need to connect

Yoooooooooooooooooooooooooo Eric!!!! You read my mind! I needed just this!!! Thank you for saving me many headaches to find out by myself!!

Glad to help!

Excellent Eric. Just what I needed! Sorry, I didn't see this wisdom snippet.

Actually, WP Wisdom is not so easy to find on the expert classes page - what do we search for?

That's because these aren't expert classes :)
Just use the smart search magnifying glass up top and type in Wordpress Wisdom or just go to my blog.

I think they're expert snippets!
Great to know. Thank you.

Btw, my menus are looking smashing now thanks to your # pound sign categories! Yes, I agree! 'Hash-tag' sounds like breakfast.

Brilliant. πŸ™πŸΌ

Thanks, Glenn! Glad you liked it!

A great reminder and refresh Eric!!

Delving deeper into sub-menus so as not to clutter up our sites so much would be a great help to most I believe...

Much appreciated as always buddy and enjoy your weekend!
