Hi, I came across a notification where it says 'No focus keywords'
So in the dashboard, back office, where publish posts are listed, in the classic section, where it sa
You can always set the keyword in the URL and then change the title to something more punchy and enticing.
An SEO plugin is just a plugin; what would rank you is your choice of keywords and the content you write.
Abie
Thanks for your feedback Abie, in reflection I thought I was doing the right thing, but out of interest can you show me an example of what your mean please?
Hi Julia
I put the focus keyword in the title (and permalink), first paragraph, one H2 tag, and conclusion.
However, this has become less important now that Google has changed its ranking criteria.

It means that the content of your post does not match the title in an obvious way.
SEO plugins provide checklists to optimize your online publications but they donโt directly affect the way search engines rank them.

Thanks for your feedback Frank, I thought I matched everything that you mention, and through following our training here.
But saying that, I may need to remind myself how content should look, I might just ask Chat gpt, for an example, and what Abie points out too!

Hi, having added an internal link to a previous post, I found that a certain product was no longer available!, so I had to update it to a newer product to keep post current.
Hi! I see. The problem is I have too many broken or misdirected links. Not easy when dealing with 300+ articles on the website :)
You are doing fine, it seems. Thanks for sharing and this post reminded me that I need to do something about my broken links.
Hi Julia,
Because I used to face the same problem, I check weekly for broken links (as Phil also mentioned). That leads me directly to the issue, and Google loves a site without them.

https://www.brokenlinkcheck.com/
Hi Diana, thanks for the links, you're not going to believe this, but in my recent post, published yesterday, 3 products are now not available!!!
It's annoying as having purchased these products to check them out and write about them, they are gone!
I have messaged the advertisers to see if they replenish their stock, otherwise I am going to have to update yet again!
This brings me to maybe just have an open promo and generalize everything, or close to my content, and once gone it's gone!
So fustrating!๐
So, I checked both links you refer to, and both show no broken links, yet I clearly do have some.
How does it work, am I reading it wrong?
Have you use either link-checkers and have any worked for you?
Hi Julia,
I always check the sites with the two recommended links. Both show broken links, but deadlinkchecker.com also shows other types of errors.
I checked the websites today, earlier than usual, and one had broken product image links. It rarely happens that I don't have a broken link or an error from week to week. ๐
So I don't understand how it doesn't work for you.
Hello Julia,
That was bad luck. I believe it's frustrating, but expect all kinds of surprises. To stop feeling that frustration, change your mindset and go on the premise that the website must be informative, and then the percentage with a focus on sales.
If the products are no longer valid, or you cannot find similar products, change the article to refer to the brand's products in general.
I don't know your niche, but I try to find as many evergreen products as possible to promote.
Thanks for the screenshots. Does it also tell you what post or where to go and make corrections ? Sorry to be a pain๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
Hi Julia,
If this is the case, it always shows you what the error is and the source. Each case is different. You have to click on them and see where it takes you.
But to get familiar with all of this, you need to put it into practice, to get your hands dirty as Eric always says. ๐
is it worth trying a broken link checker plugin to scan all links and see whether they are broken...
one plugin is broken link checker by wpmu dev - never used, but says it can scan automatically...
whether it will detect amazon taking you to a different link i don't know...
Hi feigner, good to hear from you ! Hope all is good at your end! Sounds good I'll look into that. ๐
