If you cancel premium, you have 30 days to secure hosting elsewhere and move your site. You will not be able to edit the site during that time. I highly recommend backing up the site prior to cancelling your membership.
When people leave comments they type their name then their email and then a website if they have one. I'm wondering if I should edit the website out. Will it hurt my site? I do
I'm glad this question was asked! I don't have an answer but there are great answers below! Learned something new!
#1.) To clarify, you are talking about leaving their website in order to leave a message..right?
Because this is linking and improves your ranking. So, No, leave it alone, no one but search engines see it. It proves creditability. It tells the search engines you didn't get a bunch of people from the local club to do you a solid. That these are people with actual websites.
2.) Or are you saying you don't want them leaving their website in the comment they leave you?
This is spamming. When the URL is in the comment itself and the comment is not related to the post and seems generic like, " Great post." This is Spam and you need to delete it.
Now, If the comment is great and they have still put their URL in it, you can do a quick edit and just remove the link.
What I do is highlight the entire message and then click the break link icon to remove hidden anchor text.
I hope this helps.
I don't really like when people leave a comment just so they can put a link to their website. I kinda find it rude lol.
However if the comment is relevant and their website will help my visitors I will leave the link... on the other hand, if it looks like spam I will just refuse the comment. But it doesn't happen very often anyway ; most people are really respectful and comments with links go to the spam box I think

I have wondered the same thing. I was also wondering why we leave our website on someone else's website too. I have just checked my own site and comments and they don't seem to appear in the actual comment section. It would be a different story if they were plugging their website within the actual comment. I would screen them then.
The username of the person leaving the comment (next to the avatar) will turn into a link to their website - this is the default setting in WordPress and it becomes a backlink.
It is automatic, unless you remove the website URL. It is up to you. I usually check the site and if it is a reasonable site, I will leave the link enabled. Fair enough to reciprocate if someone has taken the time to visit my site and leave a relevant comment.
There is no need for the person commenting to leave the link to their website in the comment text or signature as it is already linked via their username but some people don't know that.

I'm wondering if my site is good enough to reapply for amazon affiliate program. Could you please let me know what you think? It's still a young site. I am getting traffic thou
As an introduction, I applied to Amazon when starting with WA as was suggested in the first set of lessons. I realise now that a new site with so little information is not what Amazon wants to see. So I filled my site in a bit and reapplied and was accepted.
I just took a peak at your pain website. It appears to have enough to satisfy Amazon but maybe do some posts reviewing some pain relief products that Amazon sells. Don't link them yet but Amazon will see you have something to offer them.
Good luck.
Thank you so much. One issue is don't I have to order something to review it or should I lie? Also should I say I got it for the review? Should I mention amazon in the review?
No you don't have to order it. Just make sure you do your research. Prepare the review as if you are connected with Amazon casually referring to them. But don't refer or link to buying the product as you aren't an affiliate yet. You can go back and update this once you are. That is what I did when reapplying. That way they can see you are preparing the way and have something to offer.
I have attached a screenshot of what I did prior to reapplying. The content I included prior to applying is circled in red. Once accepted I added the sentence circled in blue. The link is under the words shown in red.
wow thank you so much? Could I please read the whole review so I can get ideas? I already know of a product I'll do a review for.
Any visit to my site is welcome. Traffic, traffic, traffic! Here is the link. Note that as I do story reviews the content is rather informal.

I will check it out. I am pretty new as well and was denied for google adsense but did get approved for amazon. Just wanted to make sure you used https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/home.
