Hi everyone !

I was wondering if anyone had ever used Dropified for their dropshipping business and what they thought of it?

Thank you so much

Sarah

I've never used it, but have read some reviews that detail the features. From the general information I've gathered, it is a good application, but priced for larger online stores that have thousands of products to sell. The general consensus seems to be that it's a bit expensive for someone starting out, but does work well.

Hopefully someone will have some real experience with Dropified to share with you!

Any thought on this 'dropified' software?

Hey guys !

I was wondering if you could help me turn my current makeup website into a more professional merchant website. Right now what peop

to prevent doing anything to your site - have you thought of adding a subdomain?
THis way you can have shop..xxxx
You can have any theme you want - so you can choose one compatable with woocommerce and there is a plugin to show a catalog rather than dropshipping.
Am looking into this myself so thanks for making me think!
Good luck
Like how you have develped the makeup profile pictures.
Phil

hmmmmmm I never thought about that! You guys are giving me really amazing advice, thank you so much ! I'm going to have to digest all this and see what I do with my website
Let me know what you do with your website, so I can take a look at it please!!!
Oh and thanks for the makeup profile pictures, I'm happy you like them... it's one of my little hobbies lol

Unless you are working with a drop shipper, you'll need to either have the products yourself or not get in between the merchant and the consumer any more than just passing along the consumer.

ok I get it. So I need a drip shipper. That shouldn't be too hard... right? do you have a merchant website yourself?

I actually work for Awin.com, the affiliate network, so I work with about 6,000 merchants. I've been doing this for nearly 20 years, so I do know a bit about the industry :)

SHOPIFY is a great place to start and learn about creating a merchant account. Oberlo is also good for dropshipping. AliExpress is another area you can search out.

With SHOPIFY you must set up shop on their site. Then you can advertise your products on your WA site.

Thanks !! I created a shopify page the other day but haven't got myself around it yet ... and I know of aliexpress... had a very bad shipping experience with them once, my product never got here... but I guess I can give them a second chance lol

Here are some ideas for product stockage Sarah! https://www.popsugar.com/beauty/Best-Beauty-Products-Feb-2018-44530310

thanks !!! you're sweet

I love your Bride of Chucky Mon Cheri!

1. Look at Sephora’s layout or fragrance.net to see how it can apply to you definitely I believe:)
2. What you want is something akin to drop shipping which makes great money in a profitable niche like yours.
Another great idea is to adopt styles like eBay or Gilt.com techniques to still write enough item specifics and include bullet point summary of product reviews.
Then below add the option of add to cart or buy it now. View cart or continue shopping. Offer promo codes as slide show option at the top of the header bar on your website. Something like Saks.com. And add a link to click : see details .
3. On the top slider where you want to add only 4 coupons. Mention terms and exclusions .
4. Preferably on your home page, a slow mo vector diagram / fashion designer sketches of a woman wearing makeup :video
I don’t know if I’m making it clear to visualize? Hopefully?

5. Add categories: face: eyes: lips: skin: hair as top bar menu categories. Choose high contrast colors and geometric trends .
6 or your categories can present themselves as a timed slideshow on your home page. For a merchant website I think Gilt.com is a good structure to follow .

7. That way you can include add now/ buy it now, add to cart, modify quantity and add your personal how to’s below.
8. Sometimes the key is to bullet point facts or product reviews and keep it summarized fully.

9. You can still include : the blog run or some pun on cosmetics, to suggest product reviews.
Ie: what your niches mood sets is a big factor also.
10. frame margins on all pages, even product review (billeted and concise) . People will take you as a reference .

wow what a fantastic answer, thank you very much for taking the time to write all this! I really appreciate it as it's going to help me so so much ! you're awesome

You are most welcome my dear . Your niche is definitely well selected and in alignment with your passions.

thank you, I should hope so ^^ ! I can't wait to build the website now, thanks again

Yes it should be a renewing sense of joy to see vibrancy on your page. You should fall in love with your work always and pine for it :) lol talking of which I too better get my butt seated at my desk chair to write my niche blogs :)
You will enjoy it and listen to music that you like or a slow audiobook at times is a great companion to creativity.
Later you keep adding videos and link within Quora also. A lot of people ask meaningful questions about makeup.
Include a few pages for skin types with faces against a white background and a slow mock up makeup . Or to spice it up like no site can match you ?

INCLUDE AN OVAL SQUARE FAcial contour, this can be done through adobe suite, XD and to envato tutorials on adobe, teaches adobe hacks to create concealed vector illustration. Actually through adobe illustrator on layers and visibility function. Save the file . I’m sure you can embed a picture upload function ( similar to members and visitors who can upload profile pics.

So then the oval with faint grey outlines or any soothing colors, becomes the space for your visitors to upload close up fresh faced no makeup photos . Then the products they have selected can start slowly turning about the face.
Click on any product, to TRY IT ON LAB . Even create an app on adobe XD to link back to your website after keeping app devoted to trial of product virtually.
They can see results on virtual makeovers. They will decide and with promo codes only on holiday seasons , before and after holidays.
The virtual makeover will boost you to the top

You need to set up a woocommerce dropshipping site (or a shopify site using a different platform).
You need to download the woocommerce plugin also and get a reliable wholesaler to do the drop shipping for you (or use alibaba/ aliexpress )

I addition to that:

You can also link to Amazon from a WooCommerce store.
But you have to make sure to follow all their rules in regards prices, images, etc.

thank you both so much for the quick answer ! About amazon, sometimes their prices change or the products are no longer available. Does that mean I have to check aaaall the products regularly ? what if someone wants to buy something on my website but it's not the same price anymore or it's no longer available? Will they still be charged or told about the different price???

ok I just downloaded woocommerce and I'm looking for a woocommerce friendly wp theme right now. At what point do I get a wholesaler? do I do that while I'm setting up my woocommerce or is it a step I have to do separately? I'm sorry, this is Chinese to me lol

Getting a wholesaler or signing up with aliexpress needs to be done first. Take a look at "wholesale ted" videos on YouTube and you will learn alot more about aliexpress- there are pros and cons...(example long delivery times)
You can also find wholesalers in trusted wholesale directories. For example "worldwide brands" (there is a lifetime once off membership fee to get access for 299 usd)

thanks a lot !!!

If you do Amazon with WooCommerce they won't buy on your site. Instead you send them to Amazon as well.
It just looks like a store.

There are plugins that update prices from Amazon but I heard that they are not always reliable.
You'd have to worry more about Amazon...if your prices are outdated they might shut you down.

Dropshipping is something completely different.
I would educate myself first as this is rather complex.

I see hmmmmmm. So it seems it'd be more reliable for me to use links directly from the brands themselves rather than amazon links, right? brands are more unlikely to change prices and they update links I believe or at least send you a notification, hopefully. I will see what I do about amazon and I'm definitely going to learn about dropshipping, thanks a lot again !

If you do dropshipping, your customer pays the price you display.
Then you buy the item for the wholesale price and keep the difference.

Your margins must be high enough to cover your costs.

And if the wholesale price changes it's up to you to adjust your price.

ok I understand, thanks !

Hi guys!

I got a message from someone who owns a website and would like me to publish one of his posts. He wants to know what I ask in return.

"Hi, I am interest

I would never have thought to ask money for guest posts, and I am happy if anyone wants to add an article - but it must be totally related to the topic of my sites. And so far hardly anybody wanted their links inserted. And I would accept that if I know that they are serious people with valuable sites.

Yeah, this surely should be a guest posting only when you run similar niches, so just go check the person's website out and decide for yourself but pricing is a no-no to me cos we are not there yet.

He may have matched his own site content to yours and is trying to drum up some business.

I did a post on something similar not too long ago, Sarah! It kinda smacks of an exchange link. One of my sources told the story of how it all began with a request to host a blog and a link... Here's an excerpt from my post:

Any links in your web content should be earned links. Earned links are our friend. Exchange links are links to external websites that often have nothing to do with your website or its content and they can and will hurt our websites. Many times the exchange site is selling something and quite possibly is loaded with Google Ads. Their site(s) may even be up for sale and a link from your profitable and/or highly-seen website might boost their asking price. Many times the target site of the link will be a scam site... Google has begun to frown on these types of links and will even penalize you for having them on your website. Many website visitors, once they are aware of the type of link it is may leave your website because they will feel they are being given a sales pitch instead of the information they were seeking.

Definitely check them out thoroughly and be careful!
Mike

I agree with you and that care needs to be taken.
Cheers Tosh :)

Thanks for the info!

As everyone else has said .. and if your Niche is similar or complementary then you could do a Guest Post on his Blog especially if his followers/readers are higher than yours. Cheers, William.

I agree with Alanna, you need to vet them before you agree to anything. Have them send you their proposed post before you go any further, you dont know what type of reputation they have, or if their beliefs/ writing is in line with yours, you work too hard at your business to allow someone else's work to bring it down. Check it out and see!

It sounds like a way of guest blogging, and creating backlinks. I don't know how the process works, but if you research these two topics you might find your answer. Let us know what you find.

I agree with both comments below.
Check the website out and the amount of followers and niche area.
If you are not going to benefit financially and enhancing for you're website, I would not get too involved.
Why can't he advertise his own posts on his website?
I agree it sounds just like a guest posting to me also.
Cheers Tosh :)

Well, the first thing I would do is check this person's website. If it's a website within your niche, then I'd ask them to submit a post for consideration. I wouldn't give a yes or no until you see the content. If you feel that the content can enhance your website and provide readers with a good experience then talk about price or perhaps a reciprical arrangement. I wouldn't know what to charge. This sounds more like a guest posting to me.

I'm in the process of writing a post on guest blogging, which is what this is. I would say that if he has more followers than you do, he can blog there, if not, sell him advertising. LOL
