My green button is reading course 2 lesson 3 when I am up to course 5 lesson 3. Why like that?
Did you tick off all the tasks in course 2? I know that it will take you back if it thinks that is where you left off.

The same thing happened to me. You have to click that you have done all the tasks up to where you are or it will take you back.

When I click on the green button it should take me to course 5 lesson 3 but it is opening at course 2 lesson 3???
yes previous advice is right check you have ticked off all the toggle boxes. If you have and it still wont work contact support and they will help you.
Hi, and yup Little Claire is right check and make sure you ticked all of the tasks in the lesson... you have to get them all or it will keep bring you back to the last one that you ticked them off;

does Google have a problem with me copying and pasting sections of my own content between pages and posts on my website?
Hi Drew. There is little problem with small snippets of content that are the same. After all many sites including mine have e-mail signup forms on several pages that are identical. The amount of duplicity is tiny compared with the total volume of content on each page. I checked my website page through CopyScape and it found 4 other websites in the entire universe that had similar content to my sign-up forms.
Cheers RJ and Larry ...it is a bit of a minefield - I put my content on several posts through a duplication checker and the best result I got on any of them was 16% original content!!! ....seems any 3 or 4 words strung together the same anywhere on the internet amounts to duplication.
....the reason I asked in the first place is similar reasons to what Larry is saying
...but not only that, I occasionally like to spice up my posts with maybe a relevant quote from Shakespere or a line from a song.
...I even repeat an argument to hammer it home in different posts.
...disappointing - going to have to do everything different ...basically it seems, everything I have done so far is shit
I hope it is ok because I have a short section at the bottom of each post and page inviting visitors to join my blog group. It is pretty much identical on every page.
I have to go with LittleClaire that it would be duplicate content. there is no way that you can put that piece of information on a page or a post alone and have internal links to it.
Willie
I believe it would be classed as duplicate content. It's your individual pages and posts that are ranked, not the website as a whole.
You could do some internal links though, and send people to another page/post for reference?
C
because there may be something I want the visitor to read in particular and I can not expect them to visit every page.
...but that is digressing ...the question is can not why ...I am looking for answers not questions
Drew, My advice is to refer to your other pages with links as part of the general conversation or content no more twice per post or page. Use a good keyword anchor for each link. Use the Categories on your sidebar to group your subjects together, also the Menu. Forget about cut and paste at the end; any call to action, whether sales or visiting another page needs to be natural and varied. Google is tough. Never know when something will tip the scales and Google looks at your content.
