You said/did what during your interview!? Tell me it ain't so!
Despite my March 24th blog claiming my last ''real world'' interview, it unfortunately did not pan out that way. The job was 10x more demanding workload/hours wise as I had thought, so I turned it down. I want to concentrate on ''my'' projects, as business owners, they understood.
This decision leaves me jobless and in a daily pool of emails from job search websites such as Workopolis, Monster and the likes. I tell you, I couldn't care less about them, but until my business is up and running, so are the bills; I have to go through at least a few of these offers a day.
Although I show little to no interest, one email did catch my eye. I'm a sucker for an infographic and it had one about the do's and don'ts during an interview. See below:

I've taken the liberty of highlighting some curious ones...is it just me or most, if not all, of these are common sense? I would hope no one needs to be reminded not to chew gum or be late. Wait, that's nothing, the green little box below has even more fabulously ridiculous behaviors!

Bring your mom? your dog? drink and bring beer? If this is the way people are going about their interviews I need not to worry, I'll have the job for sure, lol. This does not make me look forward to having to interview future employees for my business though, yikes!
Have you been guilty of these or have been a witnessed ? If so, please share your experiences, it will spice up job searching for those of us who are in the process!

"Common sense" ain't so common after all.
But on the other hand, what is expected of you at an interview should be a reflection of the description of the position you're applying for. Why should a landscape worker be expected to show up in pants and not shorts or a construction worker in suit and not jeans. Come on people. Let's be real.

I'll comment as soon aas I can 'see' it.....dwnloaded Chrome and it's too tiny. I'm researching how tomake my print bigger...sorry, typeos...
Yeah, I tried making it as big as I could without cutting info. You know what I do though? Just save the image to your computer and zoom in, after that, off to the recycle bin. :)
Should I ever go blind, I am gonna get me a dog and apply for a job as a beer taster. Just for the heck of it
Are these banal advices really necessary? Well, in my experience sometimes they are. You cannot imagine the strange attires I have seen people turning up in!
Sad but true hen? Still boggles my mind though. Maybe I should try one of those silly "don't", who knows, I might just get the job anyway. ;)

That's funny that they would even put that stuff on there, but I suppose some people still need to read it. I have noticed that the infographics are popular though. I need to learn how to create one.
