I have noticed that some people who use screen names are addressed by their given names here, even though it does not appear in their profile message. Where is that information
Good point! People's names are not always in their profile. I guess it is up to them to inlcude it or not.
Good Idea, Empress L! I generally try to click "View Profile" to get the author's name, but many don't show it. I would otherwise like a great Nom d'Plume, or Nom d'Guerr, but it would be hard to find one not already taken, and my Mentor [who happens to be my grandfather by coincidence] says Michael Angelo would never become great by using a Nom d'arte, but he was called Mike by Popes, so just tell them you are Mike! So, if it was good enough for the big MIKE and his Popes, I won't argue with my Mentor, for now anyway!
I so like your comment.....Mike, or could it be Mick, Micky, Mikey, or....life can be complicated! Andy
Nom De Guerre, j'aime ca!
I often use people's real names as found in the first couple of comments left when they sign up to WA. I haven't had any tell me not to use their name yet, though of course I'd be happy to do that ifI they wish.
I try to use my name in most of my comments, however I do not take offence if people neither read my profile or simply take my username and assume (most often) that I am from the Indian sub-continent. I do suggest that we should put our actual names early on in our profiles to others who have not. I want to be polite, but sometimes I need a little gesture at least to help me!
Hi Laurel!
I have learned by watching the tracks left by other WA people. If you want to know somebody's name, just go to their profile and scroll all the way down to the first public message they have received. It is either from Kyle or Carson or the WA ambassador who introduced them to WA. They care about making a personal connection, so they use the person's
Good for you for asking. For me, it was a head scratcher for a while until I figured it out.
-John
Easy. The member sponsor knows so does kyle. So just go to the bottom of there profile and find the welcome message. Normally there name will be there. .

If I have purchased the domain name and I delete my current website so that I can start again on a different track, may I use the same name?
Do I have to do an "extreme makeover
Hi, Empress L.-I think Nathaniell here below has about the best and simplest idea to do what you appear to want. I would COPY your content on your existing Pages, PASTE it on MS Word, then delete the content as Nathaniell suggests, THAN --- go back to your MSWord copy of it ...do any changes you desire, clean it up and COPY and PASTE it on your 're-done' pages! NO NEED TO BUY ANOTHER DOMAIN ... just change 'theme', re-make the content and go with the new Pages!
you can manually spin content, and you can export it using dashboard/tools/export if you do not have separate copies in MS Word however this must be thoroughly done, mixing up titles, sentences, paragraphs and general structures-the writing takes just as long but you have at least done the thinking..
You might find it easier to start with a clean sheet. as Nathaniell is advocating..
Good luck, Andy
You can use the same domain name and delete the content that's there. I would just go to posts/pages and "select all" then delete. That way you don't have to reinstall wordpress. Choose a new theme, and now you have a fresh website!
No. If you are going to use the same content, then don't delete anything and just upload a new theme to change the look.
If you want to "start over", that means new content.
What exactly is your goal? If it's just to start fresh in the same niche with the same domain, just ignore the old content, and keep writing new (and better) stuff.
My goal is to narrow my niche and streamline the look and content of my website. Perhaps "make over" is a better or more accurate term than "start over".
Yeah, unwound keep the content, and just
Make future content more narrow as you say. Get a new theme, update menus and you'll have The results you're looking for.

Does anybody have suggestions for beauty or self improvement products they would like to see reviewed? I'd love to check them out for you.
I'm sure you don't! My site is not just about beauty though. It's more about self improvement, with looking better as a side effect. For example, I'm currently working on a fitness book review by another WA member. If you haven't checked out my website yet, it's linkyourstyle.com. Let me know what you think. Thanks for the reply.
Thanks for your response. My website is about self improvement and looking and feeling better about yourself. So I am thinking of reviewing books, makeup, hair products, health products (weight loss, clear skin, vitamins, etc). Maybe taking a look around my site will help to clarify. It is www.linkyourstyle.com
