Hi Daniel.
I'm a synth head!! Kawai K1, JD990, DR550, D110, CS1x etc etc so I'd love to see your site when you're up and running.
Personally, I would narrow it down - are you into analog keyboards, digital, organs, pianos, synth modules, VSTs - to begin with, focussing on something really specific, with low QSR would be a better start, and would begin generating traffic - if only for the specific area you are concentrating on to begin with.
Then as you start to get ranked, you can expand your site, to cover more bases - as you should already have some traffic at that point, it should be easier for you to start targeting more competitive keywords - and as you'd already begin to be an authority in your niche, more people would start to trust you and recommend you for keyboards which perhaps begin to grow your niche outwith the original site.
Just my view Daniel - but I really wish you all the best on this.
Cheers, Mark
Hi Mark,
thanks for the input. I really can't decide which I like best, analog, digital workstations, organs, or programming on vst's. I'm a very versatile musician who's played all kinds of music. But I would have to say that grand piano sounds and ambient pads are my specific area of expertise. I just can't make up my mind on what to focus on. I'm thinking of focusing on workstations since they are multi-functional keyboards with a little bit of everything.
Again, thanks for the input Mark. Would love to elaborate on this more with you when you have some time. Thanks!
Hi Daniel.
Getting a good piano sound is difficult - and useful pads that don't wander all over your EQ are rare too. If that's what you like most, then why not concentrate on them first - make those your niche "piano and ambient pad sounds" - that is a niche right there - it's a subset of a much larger area - and quite specific - so you could rank with that very quickly I would think.
I'd look forward to talk more about this with you.
Cheers Daniel,
Mark
I agree with both Mamazepp and KD6PAO. Start off with a narrow niche, and as you grow in this business and become more of an authority, you can broaden it
I think it would be a good idea to start just with the keyboards niche. Then, after you get traffic, you can expand slow but sure. Make sure it is focused and a niche just about keyboards would be the best way to do this. Good luck!

My niche is natural good health. I was looking to do a range of supplement products but also including EMF radiation protection. Should I scale this down solely to say - natural stress relief supplements, or can I cover broader health issues in one site.

I experienced something similar. Tell your brother to use a different laptop and go to a different location to sign up. That should work.
If your brother is living with you and your using same IP address (same internet connection)he will not be able to create another account. You can ask your brother to create an account in different internet connection that will work.
Maybe your brother might have use his email address to sign up previously. Try using a different email address.
He already tried that. He has not signed up before, he's never heard of this program until now.

This is a basic question. But how can I make a post under a certain page that is not the home page. Because when I create a post on the Wordpress editor it automatically appears
I think the tutorial that lanesmarie posted will help you out.
If you are looking to create posts under pages/categories you will go to your menu option on the left hand side (under appearance).
You can then add pages or categories to that menu
.
Say if you have a page titled 'Hockey Equipment' and want to be able to see other categories underneath it, like 'Goalie pads' or 'sticks' then create a category titled 'sticks' then add it to the menu.
Put it underneath the 'hockey equipment' page and pull it a bit to the right, so it is indented. It then wont show in your menu, but when you mouse over the Hockey Equipment title it will show up underneath.
You can not add pages to categories. You could write a post on CCM hockey sticks, then categorize it under the 'Sticks' Category.
hope that sorta helped, if that is what you were meaning.
If i understand you correctly, sounds like your posts are rolling. If you go to your admin panel under settings/reading. Change the setting and specify your page.
