Hey Friends
My friend hired a publisher for their website but has now gone bankrupt.
How can they get access to it as they have no information since the publisher di
If you don't have the name of the website. what was the content? You might be able to search for something in the content and find the site that way.
Mel
unless they have some details of a log in and are registered as an email address then it may have gone and not be accessible.
if they can log in as admin and reset the password then they get that sent to the registered email address and will be able to log in that way...
they will still be able to use the domain as they bought it they can change the hosting...
so they may have to start again if they cannot log in....
Unfortunately they just hired the publisher for their book and they managed everything including the website. The company wasn't given any information prior to the publisher going bankrupt.
they should still have an obligation to release the website - but i suspect that they will end up with just the domain....
did they buy it from godaddy and can they access their account....

The website is www.morethanenoughbooks.com.
I did a whois on it and it looks like they had it hosted by GoDaddy.
Yup, GoDaddy seems to be the registrar and the host.
I am getting a blank page (This site can’t be reached.)

I tried to find it on an archival site, but apparently they didn't get it before it went down. Sorry.
Mel
Ask your friend if they can log in to GoDaddy and if they have complete control of the domain. If they know the email address or GoDaddy customer account number associated with the domain, they can reset it or reach out to GoDaddy's support.
(They can collect this information from their email when establishing the account.)

Thank you. I did already mention for them to contact Godaddy and tell them the situation. One would think they would be responsible for sharing all the relevant information with them but apparently they're not responding. They might just create another domain
GoDaddy would respond, that's their phone numbers per location...

I wouldn't let this go, especially if the domain is a premium or it would become a premium.
Abie
I emailed them telling them to call Godaddy, tell them the story of the publisher going bankrupt to see if they can get access to the account. And if they can't then to just create a new website and domain. They'll lose the history and ranking but I guess they'll get that back eventually.
Thank you!

There's so many themes and Templates on Woo Commerce. Do you have any recommendations that's best for an Ecommerce store? Ty
Thanks Abie! I wasn't sure which is best to use and most flexible. @jeffreybrown was able to help. Thank you :)
Great, Thank you @jeffreyBrown! When I searched on the Woo Commerce website I think about 17 themes showed up and I wasn't sure which one to use. Some were child themes too.
I read your profile too. It was great read and wish you so much luck and God speed. I could relate to your profile and felt encouraged to PM you. Thank you for your input. :)
You're very welcome, Paul! My site has no inventory on it yet, but when I researched Woocommerce, and it showed that they recommended the Storefront theme.
You could always check it out to see what you think!
Thanks for the kind wishes! I do what I can every day to further my goals, my friend!
One other thing is that I have had an eBay store for a long time! I wanted Woocommerce to list historical items that might be offensive to some, and could not be listed on eBay.
Best success to you, Paul!

Hi, are there any recommendations for a business name? I want to start a 'we buy houses' real estate company but every time I think of something it's already taken. Lol
Can someone help with a business name?

I want to create a rule to forward any imbound email using this webmail but I don't see how to. Does it have this feature?
Go to the menu bar and beside the trash can their is a button with three lines in a horizontal pattern. Click on that and you will see "Forward as attachment"
