INTRODUCTION

I started using almost no tools when it came to SEO, but since getting serious about this online marketing business, have started using more and more of them...It was enough getting familiar with everything here and elsewhere I was confronted with to start but eventually I wanted more...

Why?

Because due to limited time and other external business requirements, I needed ways to do more in the same amount of time...I also wanted to see what the competition was doing, so I could make improvements to my websites...

Here are a few you might want to consider using too...

Let's start out with a familar name (or it should be by now hehe)...This is the same as what Kyle calls the alphabet soup technique I think, but it is worth mentioning in case you have not run across it here yet...

(1) Google Suggest - Cost: Free

This is a great tool to find keywords or content topic ideas. The suggestions vary by search history, region, and language, but the reason they can help is that they all will come from how people actually are using the search engine.

So, they provide suggestions that are worded in a people actually are conducting the searches....

For example, type in the phrase “shaver coupons” and Google suggests:

1. Shaver coupons online

2. Shaver coupons printable

3. Shaver coupons 2016

4. Shaver coupons USA

Try it with “shaver coupons best” and Google offers:

1. Shaver coupons

2. Shaver coupons deals

3. Shaver coupons code

4. Shaver coupons printable

Remember these are all real searches by people using their words, and you get results ranked by popularity. For example if there are lots of people doing searches for “pet food coupons” and then go type “pet food coupons printable”, that can help make “pet food coupons printable” appears as an autocomplete suggestion.

(2) Anchor Text Over Optimization Tool - Cost: Free

This is an online marketing tool that functions exactly like it is titled and I consider it a must-have to protect against Google penalties. The user can search and identify any over-optimized anchor text links to external sites. These types of links look unnatural to Google and can end up getting flagged. Not good, and using the tool you can also send a change request directly to the site webmaster.

This is a nice tool that helps you find a pack of keywords that you may not find using Google Keyword Planner. This also has a free extension for both Chrome and Firefox, so as you are cruising the internet and see something interesting, you can investigate further.

This tool is free for the basic level and lets you get up to 750+ long-tail keyword suggestions for each search term you enter. The results are based on Google searches and the language you have selected.

It is a great way to increase attention to your content marketing, as we are seeking to do, and it can help drive traffic to your website. This tool helps you get yet more insight into what people are searching for on Google and even what they may be looking to buy.

Once you have these long-tailed keywords, you can create offers or content that directly uses the long-tailed keywords in the content, which of course will attract more people to your website.

This is another tool that wlll give you a complete report on the SEO status of your website. This is a super tool that I use quite often for some of the e-commerce work I am doing...It allow you to compare two websites side-by-side. I can gain a LOT of insight on what the competition is doing and emulate what is working. It can help you step your SEO to the next level.

(10) Browseo - Cost: Free

This tool is cool because using it you can see your website the same way a search engine will see it. How is that helpful? Let's say you want to see the hierarchy you’ve assigned to certain elements of your site, you can easily have a look, and you may be surprised and find errors you did not know about. Note this is another tool that is helpful to use to see what the competition is doing.
