This is our formation meeting for the mentoring and support group "E-Commerce."

Because of the number of interested members, it could be that we split this into 2 groups, let's see based on feedback in the comment sections below...
Group Leader...
I have volunteered to serve as the Group Leader for this mentoring group. I am actively working this market segment and have 8 stores running now, and more planned and in the queue...I have some excellent training and fellow e-commerce contacts I tap into, and will bring this to members for their use/action.
Other members...
Because we are spread all over the world, this Wealthy Affiliate post format for the first meeting will allow members to chime in and add their input as they have time...
Once we have some feedback, we then will determine the next steps and follow-on meeting(s)...
Here is what we will accomplish with this meeting:
- We will determine why we are forming this group...
- We will get to know each other a little more in this initial 'meeting.'
- We will drill down a bit on just what it is each member is looking for from activities within the group...
- We will know at what level each member is at right now with their online marketing business...
- We will determine the formats we will use to communicate...
- We will decide on what frequency we will meet...
- We will determine how to fit the training that is found here within Wealthy Affiliate and what we can add to that training to better hone in on each of our online business goals...
- Any other issue can be raised and discussed here as we get started...
- After the individual goals are determined for each member, we will decide together what the group goals will be...
Expected Outcomes From This Meeting:
After we have input from all members and have discussed...here is what we should have in place:
- A clear picture of what we are here for.
- A clear picture of where we want to go.
- A clear picture of how we will get there.
- A clear picture of how we will measure how we are doing in our individual and group quests.
- A set of group norms that we all agree to abide by.
- A tentative calendar for meetings and what will be done at the meetings.
- A few ways for group members to communicate and support one another on an as needed basis.
- An agreement on how we will document our proceedings, training, findings, successes, or failures for other Wealthy Affiliate members to follow and learn from as well...

I am here to learn and practice E-commerce with the help, experience and recommendations from a proven and successful expert as Dave and to achieve online success individually and as a group.
Having a global online business is my dream...as long as it is "properly set-up" from the ground up.

I have do not have any type or experience of online business at the moment.

Proper mentoring from an expert, a proven system and the fastest track to follow for online success.

Quick learning capabilities, very well organized and coordinated. I am not scared of technicalities and welcome new and effective technology (especially automation...) . I think to be good at "testing".

I use WhatsApp and WA, could use WeChat and Skype.
(7) Hours of the day and days that are best for your online business activities.
UK Timezone, group interaction best time 20.00-22.00 weekdays , any time weekend.
(8) Anything else that you want to mention that is pertinent to the group...

a) You are the reason :)
A while ago I asked you in a PM if I could mix Affiliate Marketing website https://gemstones.artgemsweb.com with selling my own product. Over 20 years ago, I had a small jewelry shop during the Holiday season. I have some pieces left since then and would like to sell them now on my gemstones website. You told me that yes, I can mix the two, and also you seeded the idea in my mind of maybe continuing selling the actual goods:
"That is a good idea, and you may even find that you want to continue sales! Best of luck! Dave : )"
b) What I hope to get out of this group:
• I'd like to get help in setting up pages on my website to showcase and sell jewelry pieces I already own.
• A solid understanding whether I want to stay in an eCommerce business or not.

I am a newbie...
I watched Jay's webinar on WooCommenrce with Affiliate links and am waiting for the WooCommenrce series he promised to teach soon. I watched ChrisScott video-tutorials and am struggling to set it up on my own in my mixed-types website.
(3) Your biggest need right now to grow your business.
Give it a good start: set up my website as an educational resource and a jewelry store.
(4) Where are you at with the training that is provided here on the Wealthy Affiliate platform.
I am done with all 5 Certification courses and started Affiliate Bootcamp. At first, I started the course mostly because there is some material not covered in the Certification program. However, since I did start the bootcamp, I've been trying to complete the assignments and therefore created my second website LiveWealthyRetirement.com. Then, Kyle came up with his Super Affiliate program. I signed up for it. However, I want to focus on only one subject right now.
Kyle's selection of participants will be revealed by the end of this week. This will finalize my decision on priorities for this year. There were 700 applicants. I usually don't win lotteries. My Fortune comes to praise me for my good work, primitive Luck is not my friend.
(5) What kind of skills do you bring to the table that may help further your own goals and goals the group may have...
Unfortunately, none, or maybe something that I am not aware of yet. I am an attentive listener and a fast learner. :)

WA, FB, if needed, can probably bring back Skype (haven't used it for a while). Although I haven't used the other apps at all, it's not rocket science to install and start using them now...

Mon - Fri 2 pm - 5 pm American Eastern Time;

The other groups I wanted to join but was worried whether I could handle that much, were: Wealthy Affiliate and Retirement & Affiliate Marketing for Baby Boomers. You said that I could request a trial period and see if it works or too much for me. I didn't see meeting pages for the niche groups yet.
Did you mean that I should copy and paste my post if I wanted to join Social Media Marketing and Drop Shipping groups? I know nothing about all of this and want to learn it all, but I realize that I can't do everything at the same time. I really hope that there will be more opportunities in the future.

Yes, Julia...You can simply post the answers above to those niches when they open if you decide to take them on in any role...
I have set some dates for the formation posts for each niche or subject where we have enough members to get started...If you look at that post you will see what is coming when...
For some of those niches, I will simply get them started and organized, and group members will select a leader to take on the role to keep things moving...
Catherine (kitkatskitchen) has kindly offered to head up three of the groups and also will help out in an advisory role. She is going to be out on business soon for a couple of weeks...
This group project can be an ongoing thing for us. As we get more interested members, I would envision continuing to gather the names and starting more groups...
This is not intended to replace or in any way interfere with what Kyle and Carson have worked so hard to put in place over years and years...
Rather it is intended to help group members work together in a smaller and closer tight-knit environment where they can support one another as they go through the training and implement the lessons into their business effort...

I am here to learn more about E-commerce. I hope to learn enough to earn some money from my store and then I can teach others to do the same

I have a store with only 1 product range but have neglected it while I finish Bootcamp.
(3) Your biggest need right now to grow your business.
I need to get some direction and guidance in my online business and I feel that joining this group will help me learn and point me in the right direction as I have no experience in e-commerce.

I have completed the certification classes and am now busy with Bootcamp phase 3/9

I have been a manager, training manager and station Commander. I have experience in logistics, Security, ISO Auditing, and hazardous waste. I have some IT experience with CCTV installations. I am an experienced public speaker.

I use Whatsapp, Facebook and WA

Any time. I am retired and on the other side of the world and it will probably be the middle of the night if we have live chats or webinars. :-)

I am here to learn and help others as much as possible about marketing on social media. I have a FB page that I rarely use and the same for twitter, instagram, etc. I do not know a lot about e-commerce and want to further my education
(2) Where you are at right now with your online business,
Not very far along as I do not have a niche I am comfortable with and trying to work through a niche that does not engage me, is more difficult than I thought it would be
(3) Your biggest need right now to grow your business.
Nail down the niche and utilise e-commerce to bring in some income.
(4) Where are you at with the training that is provided here on the Wealthy Affiliate platform.
Currently, I am halfway through the certification course and 1/3 of the way through boot camp. I stalled a bit, due to not being certain about my niche in certification and what to do in bootcamp.
(5) What kind of skills do you bring to the table that may help further your own goals and goals the group may have...
I am a good speaker and motivator for others. I have trained and mentored many people in my previous career.

I have accounts at FB, Instagram, Twitter, Skype, Messenger and WA. I use FB sparingly for family and Twitter and Instagram not at all.

Early morning Asia works best for me, however, I can be available as needed at other times.

Dave - thanks for getting this rolling!
(1) I'm here to gain knowledge and to create one or more successful streams of income online. I hope to make some great contacts and help those people succeed online as well.
(2) My wife started her own veterinary business last year and I created her online presence at the same time. Her site appears on the first google search page and I'm now just starting to monetize it with Amazon this month. I tested a Shopify/Aliexpress store ~6 months ago to see if it had potential and made $250 after spending around $150 in FB ads, currently looking at Woocommerce as an alternative to Shopify for a similar drop shipping site and investing more time in it. I've also started an online marketing site promoting WA that is just in its infancy.
(3) My biggest need right now is to spend time on content creation and activities that will start producing revenue. I like Dave's comment on automation.
(4) I have completed through Certification level 5 and have the Affiliate bootcamp to complete.
(5) I have formal work experience as a product manager, marketing manager, and database developer/administrator. Expert in different software packages. Worked for several large companies. Left GE six months ago to manage a startup while also trying to make additional revenue streams online.
(6) I use WA, FB, Messenger, and Skype. Open to other tools as well.
(7) I work out of my house so I'm online for the most part of the traditional business day 7 - 4 Pacific time.
(8) Just excited to be a part of this effort.

I am here to help myself and other group members mastering online business. From the group activities, I will gain knowledge in critical steps, such as product selection and product marketing, in drop shipping.
(2) Where am I at right now with my online business?
I selected two health products and applied for listing in Amazon last year, but Amazon rejected my listing application. Amazon doesn’t give reasons of rejections. I continue my efforts in product selection and listing in different sites, including establishment of my own e-commerce site, or sale in my own affiliate site.
(3) Your biggest need right now to grow your business.
Right now, biggest need is to identify profitable product.
The next need is how to effectively market the product.
(4) Where are you at with the training that is provided here on the Wealthy Affiliate platform.
I completed the certification courses.
I went through the Affiliate Bootcamp courses, but no practice since I have no plan to promote Wealthy Affiliate.
(5) What kind of skills do you bring to the table that may help further your own goals and goals the group may have...
I had my medical education in China, passed United States Medical License Examination, and was certified for medical practice in US.
After my medical education, I went to Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden and pursued my PhD study in the field of molecular biology. I had my postdoc training at Mount Sinai Medical School in NYC, USA.
After my postdoc training, I had been working at Pfizer Vaccines for 18 years and participated in the work leading market authorizations of four vaccines.
I started online business in 2004 and built Kcancer.com into a social network site for cancer patients and created a rendezvous where cancer patients and their loved ones could interact, communicate, generate and harness the power of cancer knowledge to start the healing journey. During the years operation, Kcancer accumulated huge amount of data related to cancer and cancer patients.
Right now, I focus on smoking, quit smoking and lung cancer based website: www.rebrandsmoking.com.

I have access all online tools to communicate with people worldwide.

I have been working on online business for a while now. It is difficult to make money consistently. The key to success is that we need a dream team to execute the business process flawlessly. I am open to team up with like-mined people.

Wow so thorough. And thank you for doing this. I'm sure that some of the newer memebers are lost and or experiencing what I'm going through. I'm hoping that my experience here will help them as well.
(1) I am here to help myself. And Learn about how to start one or what e-commerce can do for my business. I'm also intrested in drop shopping.
(2) I have no income coming in. I am getting kick from Amazon in the next couple of months because I have no legitimate sales. I haven't heard from the other affiliates but I'm assuming they have the same agenda.
I read somewhere around 90 days. Amazon with 160 (?) days.
(3) That is why I want this group mentoring to help me. I have a blogging site and I want to monetize it.
(4) I have completed the certification course and some boot camp however, I do not want to continued until I know what I'm doing. Less stress that way.
(5) I have no experience in online anything. I would love to know more. I have managed a few people. I work in electronics industry so do a little research and development (R&D), and leadership.
(6) my means of communication is here in WA or Messenger.
(7) my schedule 10/4, I work 10 hrs and day 4 days a week. However, we have been busy and has been working Fridays as of late. I'm on the Pacific standard time. So anything after 5:30pm is great for me.
(8) I'm looking forward to what this group will teach me. I'm am excited to get this started. Like I said before this is completely new to me and all the verbiage seems like a brand new language for me to start understanding it.
I would hope that you have patience with me if I happened to ask a dumb question(s). :P

I am here to help myself and other group members further their online business efforts using the training we have here within Wealthy Affiliate while adding any supplementary training that may apply and be helpful...

I have income streams coming in regularly from affiliate marketing, consultant fees for online services, product sales, and drop shipping.
We are scaling our business up as quickly as possible, so are re-investing our profits back into the business, allowing for a faster ramp-up...
(3) Your biggest need right now to grow your business.
More access to target audiences and trained team members that can handle any piece of our online business. We have trained members that can do one thing or another, but not every task.
This means that instead of focusing on growing the business through marketing, too much time is spent taking care of the many tasks that have to be done and take up time.
We need more automation!
(4) Where are you at with the training that is provided here on the Wealthy Affiliate platform.
I have completed the certification courses and some of the Affiliate Bootcamp courses. The actual hands-on experience has supplanted the training of course, but I would like to complete the Affiliate Bootcamp as well, I know it would help...

Hmmm...
I have a lot of experience in large and small organizations over the years and have skills such as organization, delegation, leadership, product development and roll-out, etc.
I have taught in college and university settings, I have learned through hands-on experiences, and continue to educate myself through reading, interacting with peers and mentors, etc.
(6) What means do you use to communicate online (i.e. WA, live streaming, FB, WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, etc.)
I am in Dubai at the moment and over the holidays the Government here blocked Skype for VoIP calls, which has been the main method I communicate with clients, team members, and everyone else...
Workarounds are being tested and I hope to have that solved soon. In the meantime, I still use WhatsApp, WeChat, Messenger, Facebook, etc. to get things done as best possible...
(7) Hours of the day and days that are best for your online business activities.
I do work some really crazy hours, so this is determined by what is going on with the business at the moment...I have dealings with people that are in Japan, Taiwan, China, the Philippines, Thailand, MENA, EU and North America to mention a few...
I will do what is required to make this work!

I am looking forward to building this program out and making it yet another valuable tool that Wealthy Affiliate can offer the prospective online marketer.
Too often members here give up when they are on the edge of success. I am hoping that this additional means of interaction available here will help members have success...
Hi Dave (1) The reason I am here is to make a successful commerce business and I hope to increase my knowledge of how to do so.
(2) Where I am right now with my online business, I have 3 commerce websites: www.personalized-goods.com (TREX megastore 2500 products), www.handmadegoods.org (own 100 products), www.midiia.shopify.com (Slingly Store). All on holding pending more funds being available March 18.
(3) Your biggest need right now - A marketing strategy for each store and to set a development budget (I can only commit more funds from March 18).
(4) Where I am at with the training that is provided here on the Wealthy Affiliate platform - Certification Course 2 Lesson 2, Affiliate Bootcamp Phase 5 Lesson 1.
(5) What kind of skills do you bring to the table that may help further your own goals and goals the group may have - I am Computer Literate, and learn reasonably quickly. My daughter has some marketing knowledge but not online.
(6) What means do you use to communicate online (i.e. WA, live streaming, FB, WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, etc.) I have been using FB over the last 3 months, successful engagement but no conversions, I made and posted 3 YT videos, all for personalised-goods.com.
(7) Hours of the day and days that are best for your online business activities- I am in UK at the moment so GMT hours 07.00 to 00.00 is ok for me.

E-COMMERCE GROUP
(1) The reason you are here and what you hope to get out of the group.
I have joined this group specifically to build and develop an e-commerce store, with particular focus on the Shopify and WooCommerce platforms. I have not worked with or in these 2 businesses previously but I have a number of Shopify training videos, which I have started to watch and I believe I can be successful here with the appropriate group help and support.
(2) Where you are at right now with your online business.
My previous experience in e-Commerce was as an Amazon trader, which lasted from 2014-2016. I admit I was a complete novice and the business was unsuccessful so I discontinued it until I was better equipped to trade successfully. I believe, with the additional knowledge I now have and the continued learning in both WA generally and in this Group specifically, I can proceed with grater confidence to build a successful e-Commerce store or stores
(3) Your biggest need right now to grow your business.
In this particular sphere, I need to understand and implement the basics to opening and trading an e-Commerce store(s) without making the elementary mistakes I made with my previous Amazon venture
(4) Where are you at with the training that is provided here on the Wealthy Affiliate platform.
I have completed 4 stages of the certification training and I am currently continuing this training.
I have completed 2 stages of the Bootcamp training and I am currently continuing this training.
(5) What kind of skills do you bring to the table that may help further your own goals and goals the group may have...
I am very au fait with the Microsoft Office 365 and 2010 programme, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc

Monday 0800 -1200, Tuesday 0800 – 1200, Wednesday 0800-1300, Friday 08.00 – 1200. Weekends as necessary. Evenings for live webinars as required
