About Bryanb007
Joined July 2017
My name is Bryan and I am a retired South African Police Officer. Most of my youth I was involved in the Scouting Movement and then went on to become a Scout Leader.
Being as I can remember pre-computer and pre-cellular phone times, heck, even pre-TV days in South Africa, I am considered prehistoric by my kids. I have lived a great and diverse life as a member of the SA Police for 23 years and after that, I became involved in Security, Occupational Health, Safety and Environment, ISO auditing, Waste Management, Computers, and marketing on and offline.

I enjoy woodworking, tinkering and keep tropical fish and Koi as a hobby. I thoroughly enjoy learning and teaching people new skills so I am definitely enjoying WA.

Oh Yes! I Hate Bullies!

PS 18/07/2019 For all those that ask. Yes, I am a James fan but, believe it or not, the 007 in my user name comes from my old ID number. I just got tired of all the different numbers that were added to my username by different programs so I added the 007 to make it easier to remember!

I love your unassuming personality, Bryan. I really appreciate your follow.

In my short time here, I've seen that bullies are not tolerated. When noticed, they can quickly make themselves irrelevant.

But there's one thing that's celebrated here: the willingness to help. Helpers in WA are flourishing. They take the front row!

I'd rather be a helper than a bully!

Thanks, once again.

Hi Bryan, thanks for joining my network. It is an honor to be part of yours. My brother's name is also Bryan, spelled with a Y. It's not often that I find another Bryan spelled that way.

I can remember the pre-cellular times too. My first cell phone was a fake plastic one that I put in my truck. I impressed a lot of people till I told them it was fake. Maybe I should have kept quiet.

Anyway, looking forward to checking out your posts and training. I see some interesting headlines. Best wishes to your success!

Hi Bryan,

Thank You for your service! I love scouting, I did it as a boy and then became an assistance while my boys were growing up. I also joined the Civil Air Patrol as a boy, which was a long term boot camp. I when I joined the Navy, I was completely prepared for boot camp. It had a lot of camping and survival training which was overall a great experience. My youth also taught me to defend my self because I was very badly bullied. Are you still in South Africa?

Anyway, Thank You for the follow. I'm really enjoying WA, meeting some really wonderful people is top reason!

Hi Bryan and thank you for following me. I see from your bio that you must be as old as me! I remember my first computer. It had a 40MB hard drive. And my first mobile (?) phone was in a briefcase. It was actually a satphone but I had to take it with me at weekends so that I could talk to my oil and gas crew to get the daily report read out to me. Now, today, I am sitting in a camp in northern Myanmar with my laptop and mobile phone and writing content for my website in my spare time. How things have changed. Hello Bryan,
Thanks very much for following me. I'm now following you as well.

You have a very interesting and diverse background. I'm impressed by how much you've accomplished in less than a year while a member of the WA community. Well done!

While reading your profile, one thing that immediately caught my attention was the comment about your involvement in the worldwide Scouting Movement. I commend you for your years of service to this amazing program.

Like you, I was very involved with Scouting from the ages of eight to sixteen. Here in the U.S., I participated in all three Scouting youth programs, Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Explorer Scout. I was honored to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.

Many years later, as a way of 'paying it forward', I rejoined the Scouting program as a volunteer leader when my own sons began to participate as Cub Scouts. I continued to volunteer after they had advanced to the Boy Scouts and then again later as they began to 'age out' of the program. I can say without a doubt that Scouting, both as a youth and an adult, has had a profound positive impact on my life. It has been a life-changing experience for me and for millions of boys and men around the world.

Bryan, I'm glad that I had an opportunity to make your acquaintance here at WA. It's always a pleasure to come into contact with a fellow 'Scouter'. I hope to have the opportunity to network with you in the future as I continue to become more familiar with all of the many resources available to me in this community of amazing people. :)

Cheers,
Dave

P.S. - I hate bullies too - of all ages!

Hi, Bryan

Yes, trucking has its ups and downs but, in the 15 years of driving, I was able to bring my family with me in the summer when the kids were off from school.

There were many good memories that came out of that experience. I want to settle down and take this online marketing to a level I have been wanting to do for years now.

I have a lot to offer and once I define my niche I will have accomplished my goal. From there I can expand and just have fun with it.

I really owe it to WA. The setup and the information they have given is awesome. I believe I will follow in those footsteps as well. Give lots and help lots of people.

Hope you find that niche that will take you to the top. It's not a matter of if you can do it, It truly can be done if the principles and techniques are applied.

Stay in touch with those you follow and see them grow. We all inspire each other by the accomplishments we make when it moves us forward.

Keep it going, and don't stop.

Hi Bryan, nice to hear from you. I look forward to getting to know you my new WA friend. Sorry about the huge delay in responding but I am a bit slow at the moment. Trying to do too many things at once.

Our neighbours were from South Africa. They have just moved back to Norfolk Island, of the Australian east coast.

And talking of prehistoric, we had a hand cranked phone on a party line. I can still remember our call signal was long, short, long, short!

I have left you a comment on your scam alert post.

If you have time I would love it if you visited one of my websites and left a comment on a post, any one will do. The site addresses are fantasy-sci-fi-vision.com & https://workingonthewildside.com.

Keep working hard, having fun and don’t forget to ask questions.

A very nice boss once told me, ‘Helen, when you ask a silly question everyone else breathes a collective sigh of relief because they don’t have to!’ And that is so true. No question is silly so ask away.

If I can’t help I might be able to point you in the right direction.

I have a few friends that have moved to Australia. Unfortunately, I never moved when I had that opportunity, now the years have caught up.:-)

Thanks a ton for the comment. I have returned the favour. I am short of comments as I seem to be avoiding The "Site comments" page.

Your old boss was absolutely correct. You just have to look at everyone's faces when someone else asks the question, to see the relief.

If you ever have the time to look at earn-money-online-free.com, I would really appreciate some good criticism. I mean real mean criticism, honest, cut to the chase type. On "site feedback" you get predominantly "great site, easy to read" type feedback which does not help find your mistakes or weaknesses.

Thanks again for the visit

Hi Paul, thanks for dropping by. I have 4 sites now.

I live in Pretoria South Africa. Not my favourite place as I dislike city life. I am all for the quiet country life.

Bryan: Thanks for the follow and I am following you back. I too grew up in a Scouting family and went on to become a leader and a member of our territorial council in Canada’s Northwest Territories. I too remember pre-computer and even pre-TV days living in the Canadian Arctic. I will enjoy following your WA journey and reading your posts.

Bryan...I think what appeals to me most about your profile is that P.S. I hate bullies.
There was a time in my past where I was on the receiving end of bullying and found my inner strength finally worked it out after about two years of intimidation. This was as an adolescent, though I have never forgotten the lesson. Time and time again I have found use for standing firm in who I am and believe...so thank you for bringing this topic up and I most heartily agree with your sentiment.

Your life is full, sir and I no doubt that you are valued by family and friends alike...pleasure to meet you here.
I will enjoy reading your posts Bryan, and look forward to our future communications...Kind regards, David

Hi David, Thanks for the follow. Yes, Bullies are my pet "thing" that have caused me a lot of "issues in life because I refuse to be intimidated and take them on wherever I find them, school, work, sport, social or life in general.

Look forward to hearing more from you.

Kindest regards

Hello Bryan... Oh Yes! Me too! I will connect with you as part of your network, and I appreciate you as you have connected with mine. Looks like you have come a long ways with Wealthy Affiliate. I received my 6 months badge about a month back. I have been putting a lot of time in on my website and not as much on my certification classes.

I have completed 2 in certification classes and I have completed 4 in boot camp. You have the right idea getting your certification first. I veered over to boot camp with my niche, which is promoting Wealthy Affiliate. I am wishing you continued success, as we all help each other to succeed here at Wealthy Affiliate and to help the ones we meet online succeed at finding what they are looking for. Have a great day... Clay

Hi Bryan, great to meet you and thank you for following me.

It appears we both have some things in common. You are a BB and so am I. You also grew up in a prehistoric time like myself. I can still remember my father bringing home our first ever B & W TV back in the 60's. It was that heavy I reckon some of those Elephants you have in Africa would weigh less.
Anyway, at the time, I thought it was advanced technology at it's very best. HAHA!!!

Cheers Bryan and I wish you the best in all aspects of life.

I like your profile, and I see you are also a re-inventer of yourself.

South Africa? all's I know is a bit about the Boer people and that I would like to help some families down there to get some things to better their lives, and that would help me stretch and network.
Anyways, I am following you back. and will return to read your other posts, Bryan!
Thank you, Suzay.

Thank you for following me, Bryan. There are a lot of people from south African here.

If I could handle it, I would love to have a wall aquarium inside and a koi pond outside. It's just a little too much for me so I admire your hobby.

I wish you much success here.

Hi Sui, I enjoy my Koi, I have two tanks inside as well with tropical fish but they are a lot of work. been threatening to sell them for a while now and just keep the Koi.
Reply

Yes, they ARE a lot of work. That's why I said I couldn't do it BUT if money wasn't an object, I could get them and PAY someone to take care of them. LOL. Koi are so relaxing to watch.

Hello Bryan,
Wow, what an interesting background you have! I understand when you say you remember pre-computer and pre-cellular, because I remember when a company I worked for got their first computers. My sister and brother-in-law have a Koi pond. It is relaxing sitting by the pond. Welcome to WA and thanks for following me. I will return the favor. I wish you all the best here at WA.

Hello Bryan, thanks for following me, I am now following you too. I too am a dinosaur. I remember solving high school physics problems with a slide rule because the pocket calculator wasn't invented yet. I'm still pretty much computer and internet illiterate.

I enjoy woodworking, especially scrollsaw work, and I was a scout leader during the years my son was involved. That's until he got interested in girls. I hope 2018 brings you much success. Good luck and I'll see you at the top.

Welcome to WA, Bryan. One of our exchange students was from SA -- Venda. He was in our house when Mandela was released from Robben Island, and that was quite an intense weekend! Don't think I knew much about CNN before that event, but sure learned a lot, and a lot about SA history!
Where in South Africa are you from? Maseda now lives in Jo'burg, and works at a bank there. We expect to visit him and his family, hopefully sometime in the next 2 years (before I'm too old to travel easily!)
I look forward to our joint successes!

I'm of your time, and we have to learn new skills which is pretty hard at first. Toes in the water constantly till we feel safe.

What lovely fish koi are, I would love a pond with koi in it along with blue water lilies, a big stone to sit on and swish my feet in the water.

Hi Bryan nice to meet you. I am a newbie and still in the learning process. So I will see where the WA team will lead me.
I am from Namibia. My eldest son is in a wheelchair paralyzed in his under body for 14 years now due to a shooting incident. His hobby is also Koi fish. He have one big koi pond at the outside of his home and one in the inside of his home. He is even swimming
in the koi pond in his home to get his body strength and to stay fit.
I have a video where he swims between the koi fish.
