Social Media Staistics. October!

Now this post, is written to show the newer members of the community, those who have been here for more than 3 months and perhaps some of the more experienced members, who are perhaps struggling, or wondering is Social Media is worth doing at all, I say that because there are some members, who don’t use certain platforms (I’m one of them!!)

So this post is designed to show what happens when you follow the training here at Wealthy Affiliate, set your profiles up and have them optimised as much as you possibly can, as well as being consistent with your use of them

Please understand, what is shown below, is based on my efforts, which in some cases have been poorer than I would like, but there are plans afoot to improve and increase

Not each platform has to be used and you should use strategically and as you see fit your particular case, as I have.

One platform, which should be used and I highly recommend doing so is … YouTube

Overall, the stats show the power of using the platforms and are based on the last 30 days

So lets start!!!

YouTube

This is the only Social Media Platform, you need to be Proactive on simply because it involves uploading then editing videos, to make them SEO friendly

My videos have received 5.5 Thousand Impressions ( watch time)

They have received 15.2% Click Through Rate

There have been 1.2 Thousand views of my video uploads, with 967 of them being unique ( thats is returning visitors)

Traffic Source Types

This is the website/s that have referred people to my videos

YouTube Search 88.9%

External traffic 3.2%

Direct Traffic ( This is from people who have bookmarked sites) 2.4%

Suggested Videos, this is where people are looking at a subject or topic and YouTube has suggested one of more of my videos, could be what they are looking for 2.0%

Channel Pages This is views from other channels, I have watched and commented on, which has been a mix of hobby watch and niche related watching 1.5%

Others 1.5%

Traffic External

As the name suggests, this is external traffic, which has come from search engines.Its these stats which I am pleased about, as it shows the training received at WA, which if applied, works!)

Google Search 26.3%

Bing 15.8%

Duckduckgo 13.2%

Yahoo 5.3%

Whats App 2.6%

YouTube as you might be aware is my main marketing channel, and you can see from those stats, why it is, especially the last section

What is amazing is that, I haven’t tidied any of my videos up as such, but given those figures I will be now and using my Friend TubeBuddy to do so.

QUORA

Quora, is a little under rated in my opinion, but when you know how to use it properly and correctly then it is a little gold mine.

Its a platform, which allows you to react to questions which is brilliant. I do so from my gmail inbox

As long as you react in a positive way and have an answer to a question on a blog post, as I do for some of the questions, then as far as I can see those blog post answers are acceptable to the community

Spam, quite clearly is a no no and for some questions, I have used my blog link, with good intentions, but have recieved a warning, which was evidenced and appealed against and I have had no further problems at this time

So…

All time views 4.5 Thousand

Last 30 DAYS 537 views of my answers, which are a mix of blog posts and just answering questions

In the last two days I have had people following people I am following also upvoting my answers and following me

What I have found works best on Quora is being myself, in other words I speak as I would do in real life, which is also the way I do in the WA community. So if you met me for real, you would see what I mean.

Quora is also linked up to both my Facebook and Twitter accounts, so what ever answer I give, when I press the submit button, its gets published on both those Platforms

I haven;t used this as much in recent weeks, and my stats reflect that, virtually zero

It is the same with Pinterest and Instagram.

Though it has to be said, that in the last 30 days, aside from building my list, which is the main focus of my day ,I have been paying attention to Pinterest and Instagram a bit more and can see definite benefits of using both those platforms, now I have a better understanding of them

So this is posted to show you, the power of using Social Media. As you can see from my stats, this has been on a very rough basis, but as from November 1, I shall be making a strident effort to use the above with a real intent, especially now I know what my target market is

If You Follow, if you do, then you will reap what you sow, because Appplied Education is the Difference
