There's Nowt So Queer As Folk
It's been a funny old day - and not always in the ha-ha sense...
I'm just home from a 3-day trip to visit family in the north of England - primarily for my Uncle's 90th birthday. I don't really see too much of this part of my family - and to be perfectly honest I'm not too bothered about it - but I thought it would be interesting to catch up with a few of them and see what's happening in their lives.
It turned out to be a fascinating insight into what makes people tick and how people can say one thing to one person and a completely different thing to another. Some people that I thought would behave one way ended up doing things I really didn't expect.
Some people heard a particular story which to me seemed blindingly obvious meant one thing but they took it a completely different way and a completely unnecessary confrontation occurred.
I thought I knew some people - turns out I didn't.
All in all it reminded me of an old English saying (ironically from the north of England) which is - There's nowt so queer as folk! It basically means that people can sometimes behave in very strange ways.
I'm glad to be home and away from it all!
I was going to link this story to talking about trying to understand what makes people tick when dealing with them in our online worlds but I'm now feeling low on inspiration.
I'm feeling a bit grumpy so I think I'll head to bed and hopefully come back refreshed in the morning. I have lots of plans for my online business and having lost the last 3 days doing something I didn't particularly enjoy is adding to the grumpiness.
Sorry about the moany post - I'll try to do better next time...
Later peeps

Sometimes members of our close or less close families can be quite far from our way of being and living. It can happen to feel a little stranger with people from our own family that we do not see often. This is the case when we all take different roads

Luckily, or unluckily, I have no family bar my own immediate one. As for grumpy, I found a couple of screws in my head and undid them slightly. It's hard to be a grump with a screw lose.
So, always wanting to help a friend, here's a joke.

Here's to a stunning day for you.
Thanks very much Twack. I woke up this morning and couldn't decide how i feel today. Your comment has made me make a firm decision that today is going to be a positive and productive one.
Cheers mate 😀
Yes people are really strange. Your experience is not very uncommon grumpy, so enjoy a sleep.
Loved the picture, we all have days like that.
Family is so unpredictable. I know mine are strange.
Ummm that explains a lot.🤣
Sleep well my friend
Tomorrow will be a nicer day with us
Lily 😊
Your comment made me chuckle so thanks for that 🙂
Anyway it’s now a new day so let’s see what we can make with it
Understanding that people are different and view things different or as you say “ what makes them tick”
Looking forward to more

I understand why you're grumpy...mainly because you waisted time you could have spend with something or someone better. 3 days is way too much, I wonder if I could bear with someone for so long if I didn't want to be with them.
Being an introvert, I need some time to be alone. If I wasn't able to, I would be grumpy, I think.
Cheer up, dear friend, sun will be shining for you tomorrow.

Feels odd to like this post Dave, as I'm not liking the fact you're feeling grumpy and low on inspiration. But I do like that you've shared it and I'm sure you will feel better just by doing so.
No doubt the experience has brought you some insight, even if it is not clear to you just yet.
Wishing you a refreshed and inspired Monday!
Thanks Lisa. Fortunately a new day brings new opportunities and I'm back up and running today!
Great news! Yes I realised after I hit reply that you must have written that yesterday... :-)
