Another Bump In The Road!
There is an amazing amount of absolute garbage on Twitter but in amongst it all you occasionally find a golden nugget of information, a helpful tip or a motivational quote that just speaks to you about something you are working on.
This morning I came across such a quote and since my last meme went down quite well I thought I would make this into one too. (Can never have too much Canva practice when you are planning to use Pinterest soon too!)
It reminded me of something that happened earlier in the week.
As many of you know, I have been working in a partnership with my great friend Heidi to build a business together. It has been growing really well and we have had a lot of fun working together too.
However there has been one particular aspect of a funnel that we have created that has been giving us a real headache for a week or more and we have struggled to find a solution to the problem.
Living thousands of miles (and an entire ocean) apart its not easy to have a meeting in person and swapping emails and messages hadn't found us an answer to this problem.
Fortunately with modern technology there is a way to overcome this distance and we scheduled a call on Zoom which allows us to talk face to face. We talked for nearly 2 hours, discussed the problem, had a lot of laughs, brainstormed some solutions to the problem and came up with some new plans and ideas.
We both knew that we were very close to making this funnel work if we could just find a way to fix this problem. Quitting was never on the agenda!

Helping Each Other
I know how lucky I am to have Heidi helping me with our business and I am just as lucky to have so many other helpful people here too. I have had so many great pieces of advice from my Wealthy Affiliate friends (WAmily) that I have lost count of them all. I try to save as many great tips as possible by using the star feature.
There are many ways we can help each other and one of the easiest ways to do that is to support each other outside of WA by following, liking and sharing on other sites such as social media. Many others have written about this too and I enjoyed a post earlier by Krissy on How To Use Our WA profiles to full advantage
I might expand this into another post some time but I am definitely going to make a conscious effort to support as many WA friends and followers on social media as possible. After all it costs nothing to follow, like and share and if we all do it for each other we will boost each other's social profiles enormously.

Thank you Dave. I know I have seen some internal posts about quitting last month when browsing my email quickly. I haven’t read 80% of email about WA. But I hope no one quits! There is always something you can do, endless of solution out there.. . . Persistence is the key. Don’t give up . . . . is my message to fellow Wamily members. I, myself, will keep going. I am just occupied with family matters that is taking longer that I hope will conclude happily for me and my siblings. We should not hesitate or be afraid to reach out!

Family matters are always our top priority so don’t be concerned about spending whatever time to need to on that.
It’s always a shame when people give up on their business as they might be nearer than they think to achieving their goals.

Excellent post, Dave! Very true that we must do all we can do to help each other. I talked over an hour on the phone with another WA member and we talked about WA and some about Locksmithing which he has been studying for several years as a possible additional income stream. It was very promising, I think!

Interesting, I've never used Zoom... I'll check that out.
I use free Skype. I have 4 sisters spread out in Canada and the US and so I like to catch up with all of them at the same time. I can see them all and just a super time talking about whatever for hours and hours.
Lol... sometimes, we talk so long that I'll do my workouts and still chat. Multi-tasking...😂
Anyway, if you haven't tried Skype... give it a try to communicate with Heidi.

Yes Skype is a great alternative but one of the advantages of using Zoom - which we wanted to test - was the ability to record the conversation and save it as a video file. This is something we might use for creating videos going forward.
It's great to be able to connect with people using these amazing pieces of modern technology!

Glad you guys found a way to work more efficiently. And yes, there has been a lot of talk making the rounds lately about supporting each other by following on social media, YouTube, etc.
I think it's really great and it seems to be catching on. The more the concept is shared, the more it will spread.
