Who do I send notification to, to end my yearly membership but continue my website and pay the yearl
I have not been able to grow the content on my website for the last 3 years, so I will stop paying the $299 yearly membership. It does not make sense for me to continue payin
There are two parts here which dont add up
First you stated you plan to cancel the yearly membership due to the issues you stated (sorry to hear about that) then you said you are willing to pay yearly to keep your website within WA
Once you cancel your membership you are no longer a member after your current subscription ends.
This also means you will need (before you cancel) transfer your website to another hosting where you would need to pay them hosting fees.
If you don't take the website that you own out to another hosting you will be locked out so this needs to be done first before you cancel.
Also as per the second part you stated you are willing to pay yearly to keep your website hosted here then that is the same as being a yearly member.
If that is the case then just pay your $299 yearly fees if that is what you pay and keep your website here and when you are ready to create content or work on your site then do so then.
Hi Apache, thanks very much for answering my question. It helped me and you also answered the second question which is about my website. I realized I have to migrate my website to a new hosting company. It looks like I will need a few days to do the process and the deadline to pay WA is on 12/2. I also tried to access my website and I couldn’t because I don’t have ready answers to the 5 required WordPress database information such as 1. Database Name, 2, Database Username, Password, Host, and Table Prefix. I have not done any work on my WA website for the past 3 years and paying 299 for doing nothing. I did hope to do some work but I have not had any time. I am looking after my sister, take care of personal matters and had to travel this year. I don’t know what it would be like for me next year. I already have something scheduled for 1st qtr of 2025 and definitely no time to do anything for my website.
So right now, it does not look like I can change my domain but just pay the 299 again.

Sorry to hear about your sister sending thoughts and healing to you both.
As for the technical side you can always send a ticket to site support to help answer that side of things.

Andre has given you some excellent advise, but as a member who tried other hosting companies before I started building websites here at WA, I firmly believe that WA's hosting is far better than anywhere else, because there are so many other benefits going on behind the scenes that help your website grow and be safe for just 2 of those.
Other platforms offer all sorts of deals, but you sign up and then come all the additional costs.
As I say, this is from my own experiences.

Thank you, Rob. Things might look different for me mid next year, and if I get a good opportunity, I will create new contents and re-learn the use of WordPress.

With Wordpress and learning Eric has many how to's to help out when you are ready.

As to what Rob stated (which is great advice and (he is talking from experience) others will charge you for hosting and the rest that you get for free with your membership here.
At times they may offer something cheap to start but then they increase the price later and at times you could pay more that what you bargained for later.
So be aware if thinking of hosting elsewhere and anything else you do regarding things online.

Oh, Ok. It was early morning hours and I assumed you are in the U.S. Australia is in my bucket list to visit later. Hopefully, U.S . Passport holders do not need visa to go to your country. I went to China before and I had to get a visa but not going back there in the future.
