I joined WA 7 months ago, went through all the certification courses and did my homework. I learnt a lot and accomplished a lot, I'd say, during this time, taking into account

First of all it depends on what you used to as a full time income. The easiest suggestion if you follow the entrepreneurial certification. It will take awhile but it will teach you everything you need to know step by step. We are currently in the $5,000 per month bracket. We have made much more than that but we were in another program which gave you bonuses after you got to a certain level to accelerate your income even further. Now that we know what to do I think we can do this without paying thousands of extra dollars.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question, Izpowashere. It's encouraging to hear from people who are successful in an online business. What do you do to earn the $5000 per month? Affiliate marketing only or other stuff too? Thanks!

If you are a teacher, or, can write some basic tutorials, you can begin to teach yourself. Sell your own courses and/or ebooks, etc. There are many things to do online now. Put on your "thinking cap," then get to it!

Amazon is good, however the commission is very low, so you want to keep that site going and optimized it. Meanwhile you might want to start looking at affiliates for digital products, ex. WA, JVZoo, Warrior+Plus, ClickBank, etc.
There is a good blog on niches by Izpowashere at , check it out.
Have fun and success, cheers!

Try promoting WA as an affiliate. Commissions are great!

Thank you all. Keep the answers coming :) It'd be encouraging to hear from someone who is earning a steady income online.

This blog post just popped up in the #1 spot on Google for "Amazon orders no earnins." That's pretty cool. :)

I was wondering if you had ever sorted this out. I have the same situation, but the order is from my mom and I know per their FAQs that they don't like to pay for friends and family. So I'm wondering if that may have been the reason or if this is a constant issue with Amazon.

Thats cool huh? I have been doing some digging and this page gets 6 avg views a month.

I have someone ordered some kind of hoodie or t shirt on Amazon through my blog but it haven't shipped and it's been a few days now. I'm hoping it will ship eventually.

Keep the faith. They will ship and you'll be celebrating soon enough!

I just had 3 Amazon orders with no earnings... bummer! I am hopeful after reading the comments below that I will receive something for all the hard work I have done promoting my Amazon links.

Hey... did you ever figure this out??
I'm having the same issue myself, although my first order was my own mum!! She said she's already received the item, but I still have no earnings registered on my account.
My "link-type report" shows 1 item ordered, but 0 dispatched - it obviously has been dispatched, since my mums already received it!! :/

Sometimes Amazon takes way too long to update their reports. You will get your commission eventually :)

I am not only an affiliate but also a seller on Amazon and that is even worse... Let's say when I run a PPC campaign on Amazon they take up to 48 hours to update the stats so I have no idea how much money I spent on ads and how sales resulted from that ad.

Pretty outdated and buggy system but that's how Amazon works.

Thank you for the response!! :)

It's now been 6days since she ordered it though, the report says 11/1-11/19 and it's STILL not registering as dispatched... my mum had an email from amazon on the 14th saying the seller dispatched the item on that day - it's now 11/20!!!
I'm beginning to wonder just how trustworthy amazon is to be affiliated with... :/

As I mentioned it just taking them too long to display the commission. If they didn't want to pay they would simply hide the fact there ever was a sale.

I hope so!! Thank you for the reassurance!! :)

Did you ever get the sale? I have the same problem, it's been a month so far.

I have had someone order and I didn't get credit until it shipped like 5 days after the order was placed.

They may have chose the free shipping option which can take up to 7 days to ship. :)

Thanks Mauraw! Hope that's the case :)

Hi, From someone ordering to you getting paid might take a bit of time. What is Amazon's time frame for payment. It might be worthwhile looking that up.. I hope everything works out ok for you. That first sale was tremendous....
Al

Amazon pays when the item has shipped. Usually, that would be the next day after the item has been ordered. But this is obviously an unusual case, which can happen now and then.

Thank you all for your input! I appreciate!

If it's the plugins fault, wouldn't that apply to any page? As I've said, only the home page loads slow. Everything else loads faster (the other pages and individual posts).

Hi Claudia. Did you take a look at the link I gave you for speeding up your website. It takes you through compressing your images, checking which plugins might be slowing things down etc.
I suspect it might be the large images you have on the Home page, they look great but are quite big file sizes. It loaded in 3.9 seconds for me, didn't feel that slow. :)

Thanks Kathy!!! I've just deactivated my social media sharing plugin and the load time improved tremendously!!! I'll have to find a different social media share buttons plugin. Do you know a good one?

I know the featured images are large. I compressed a bunch of the pictures that are included inside the posts, and tried compressing the featured images too, but I wasn't happy with the look. So, I'll keep the good looks and cut down on other stuff :)

thanks a lot! Your input has been very helpful!! I appreciate!!

Excellent!
The lightest one I know is Social Media Feather, check your speed before and after.
To be honest, your site didn't feel slow and I'm on a pretty poor rural connection!

I've just added OSD Social Media Sharing and I'm happy with it. Doesn't slow down the pages at all, as far as I can tell.

I think you tried it after I had compressed the pics and taken that bad plugin down :)

Thanks!!

Glad you got it sorted! :)

Only badly coded plugins will slow down your site, there are many articles about it, here's one that explains. http://wpengine.com/blog/plugins-and-fast-wordpress-sites-its-not-the-number-of-plugins-its-the-quality/

Go through this training, it will take a while but is excellent for getting your site back up to speed!

Agree to differ my friend. :)
I have asked Kyle about this in chat, 5 are recommended so newbies don't go mad and add unneeded and badly coded plugins, there are many authoritative articles about it.
Of course, there will always be differing opinions so its best to do your own research. :)

Go to Pingdom.com to find out which plugins are sucking up your juice and see if you can't find another that isn't so power hungry.

Here we go again...the number of Plugins DOES SLOW DOWN YOUR WEBSITE.

Same here...5-6...agreed!
I did the research as well.
Thanks, though!

Most of the time it can be badly-coded Plugins, but not knowing developers and adding a bunch of useless garbage doesn't help!

Extremely slow...
Keep to about 6 Plugins.

found the culprit!!! "Ultimate Social Media and Share Icons"!!! As soon as I deactivated that plugin the homepage loaded in a flash! I'll have to look for another social media share plugin though cause you have to have that. Is there any that you particularly like? Thanks!!! Your input has been very helpful!

Super Socializer!

You're welcome!

Maybe remove some of the social media share buttons to only those that are necessary. I personally use facebook, twitter, google+, and sometimes pinterest...depending on the page
