Profile Pics-What's The Deal?
There are a few trends I notice with profile pictures...
One is the kissy lip thing. What's the deal with that?
I'm pretty sure it's just the girls. That would be kind of a weird thing for guys to do. Seems like a lot of girls are using the kissy lip profile picture, though. Maybe they all have kissing niches!
Another profile picture is what I'll call the attempted escape.
This is where the person is only halfway in the picture, like they tried to get away before the photo could be taken. Not sure what the deal is with these people...Maybe issues with the FBI?
Then there are the cute puppy and kitty, and tiny bird profiles.
Doesn't reveal much of the person behind it, other than perhaps they are an animal lover. I'm guessing the majority are female, but I might be missing the mark there.
Muscle cars seem to be pretty popular profile images.
I'm guessing this is usually guys, though not always. Maybe some former NASCAR drivers? A fairly macho profile picture.
There are the nature shots...
I kind of like these. Some suggest a very Zen-like tranquility. That can definitely come in handy!
Finally, there are the scratched up looking profile pictures of unshaven cretins still rockin' the Mullet. I mean, come on...that hairdo came and went in the last century!
Really, man, what is the deal?!

Personally I put my picture in especially around summer time as I know people who grow gardens need something to hang in the garden to keep birds away. That way they can hang my picture.
During the winter they can use it in the house for mice.
Just being of service with my profile pictures.
Thanks for the chuckle and where did you ever find the picture of the guy with the mullet?
Ouch, Bo! Just for that I'm hanging you in my garden. Nothing ever grows there, anyway! :)
LOL. You had me cracking up through this entire post. Have you been thinking of going from music into standup comedy lately, or just got hit by the humor bug today? If you do standup - bring the guitar along - - - makes an excellent prop!
That's hilarious, Rick...One of your most staggering blogs...You totally made my day! Thanks!...
As for the mullet, Rod Stewart, David Bowie, Paul McCartney and others, couldn't be all wrong...:)))
I agree. I would prefer to see a photo of the person. I think it adds more credibility to the profile. I must admit, the tranquility one is pretty sweet, but I would still prefer to see the person's face.

Yes, and the mullet I see is a quasi "attempted escape" shot!
