Ava Update, Jacksonville Zoo!
Today Baby Ava, 2-year-old Sophia, their Dad, and I went to the Jacksonville Zoo. Mom went and got her hair and nails done, and went dress shopping, in preparation for a family trip to Boston this weekend, and Nashville next weekend.
This was my big chance with Ava, and I did notice that Dad seized upon every opportunity to hand her to me! (perhaps this was all part of a baby bonding conspiracy?)
I tried some of your suggestions, such as speaking in a very low tone of voice, a gentle pony ride on my knee, singing softly to her, etc.
I am happy to report that a couple of times-once sitting with her, and once standing and holding her, we actually went 2 or 3 minutes with no fussing!
I consider that a major breakthrough that will only improve over time!
Thank you so much for your many comments and helpful suggestions! (I was even ready to try Glen's "Bacon Flavored Formula!")
"I'm watching you!"

She is so gorgeous! Glad things are working out. I agree with Bo that she will have you wrapped around her little finger soon! Have fun :)
Beautiful baby soon you will be tightly wrapped around her little finger and be at her beck and call. All she has to do is look at you and hold her hands up and she will be in control. That is the voice of experience speaking. I have 19 grandkids and learned the lessons well
Aww, she is too cute. I took my grandson to the Jax zoo a few months ago. They have made some great changes, we had a wonderful day.
PS It didn't rain lol!!!
