Hello,
My name is Kevin. I joined Wealthy Affiliate to learn about online marketing. I come from a mechanical background. I'm here to architect my life plan to build a sustainable income for retirement. Also, to help as many people I can while I'm here.

I started my career in the Industrial Laundry Equipment Field. I was hired as a parts analyst and troubleshooter for an International Laundry Equipment company. Helping customers solve repair issues that they had and supplying the parts necessary to get them back into production.

A customer service position that grew into a field service technician. The field service technician's job entails the installation and preventative maintenance and repair of large equipment. Working in commercial laundry and Hospital laundry facilities.

Two companies in Minnesota then recruited me called Minneapolis New and Used Equipment and Carlson's Sales and Service as a sub-contractor. It was a field service job where I was gone three weeks out four every month. I was responsible for customers in four states. As you might have guessed, I became miserable being away from my family for that amount of time. I loved the four distinct seasons of Minnesota. And being a hunter and fisherman, it was paradise. As with any occupation, there are sacrifices you make to support your family.
After a brief time, I was recruited by Admiral Engine and propellers in Largo, Florida. I was trained to work on maritime power, generator systems, propellers, and shafts.
Up to this point, my wife was a stay at home mom. When my son started school, she decided to find a job and hired by AT&T. AT&T needed her expertise to bring one of their phone stores in Florence, South Carolina back to being profitable again. So we were relocated to South Carolina by AT&T.
After a very brief time, she became homesick and we moved back to Ohio. She continued her employment with AT&T until AT&T downsized again.


I went to work for The Christ Hospital which after 14 years was downsized. Then she went to work for ZF - Batavia and downsized again.
I was able to find another job with Drake Hospital and after five years was downsized again. Now I am employed with Xavier University for the past eight years.
