Google Verification Fail - Help?
I went to go check Google Search Console and it said that my verification failed!
I have had no issues until right now.
Has this happened to any of you? I tried several methods to verify it, but nothing seems to be working.
Do you know if I remove the property and then re-add it if I'll lose all of my data?
Help!
- Christina
(P.S. I still seem to have access to Google Analytics)
P.P.S. UGH, Google! I changed my password for Google in case that was an issue. But then they sent me a notification of a device being connected that I didn't recognize. So, I changed my password again and now I'm locked out because that password isn't working for some reason.
Why, Google, why???
(You never realize how much you need something until you're locked out of it.)

Hi Christina! I had a similar issue in the past. I found a cool plugin to deal with that once and for all (hopefully). The name of the plugin is 'Insert Headers and Footers'
Simply, copy the verification code and paste it to 'Scripts in Header' section of the plugin, press Save button and it should work.

The easiest way is to use your SEO plugin Google Verification Using All In One SEO Google Verification Using Yoast SEO
It's going through via Yoast ok, but when I go back to Search Console, it's still saying that verification failed.

Christina, did you get your Google verification code between the quotation marks, copy it, --> All In One SEO --> General Settings and scroll down until you see the Search Engine's Codes section and Paste it in the box where it says Google? And update it and then recertify it?
Danny
I am using Yoast, and Yoast has a tool that can help verify. It's going though Yoast fine, but it's still saying not Verified in Search Console.
But thanks for your help anyway!

Hi! I just read your blog because I am having the same issue trying to verify a new site. Have you had any luck? Would love to hear your outcome. Thank you :)
Here is Marion's video! She explains a very simple method that works. :) I hope it helps. Google Verification Using All In One SEO
I went through hell and back, but I finally got it worked out. Ivan included training for All in One SEO. I use Yoast, so let me know if you have that one and I can walk you through it.
You can also use Google Analytics to verify now if you have that set up first on your site.

Thank you, I have completed all these steps twice in the New Google Console and I've gotten the error twice with 2 different verification codes I've pasted into AIO SEO and submitted.
Did you try verifying with Analytics?
- Christina
I have found a good solution with that plugin tough.
Which plugin are you referring to?
- Christina
Insert Headers and Footers
I've verified all accounts through this one quick and easy. Google, Bing, Pinterest
Oh gotcha! I thought I read that you did not find a good solution with that plugin... my bad.
That's a great suggestion if someone is having issues.
Thank you!

No worries. I'm happy to help.
Ivan :)
I got it working! Yay! Thank you so much for your help. I went through and watched Jay's live training on Google search console that he just did and I was putting my link in the wrong box. I was putting it in the first box to verify domain but should've been the 2nd box... Lol, sometimes just so simple it's so hard... :)
There almost always is a simple solution! Glad you got it working. :)
