2020 UPDATE: Thanks to my business that I started with Wealthy Affiliate, I moved back to my beautiful country of Croatia! Thanks WA and thanks Ireland for giving me the opportunity!

Before I moved to Ireland, I had one desire in my mind.

That is, to become financially free, work on something that I love to do, help people who are looking for the same, and enjoy life to the fullest.

You see, I was living a "regular" life like every other person out there.

I was a part of the system that dictates to go to school, get a job, and live in debt for the rest of your life.

But I wasn't a fan of the concept.

After graduating high school I went to college because my parents and teachers told me so.

But soon enough, after realizing that college is not for me, I decided to drop out. I thought about it and didn't see my future there.

After I dropped college, I found myself working at one job after another, mostly in hospitality.

I was a waiter for ten years.

I used to work 8-9-10 and sometimes, during busy periods, I worked for 12+ hours!

It's sufficient to say that I didn't see my future there either.

I mean, who wants to slave for the "Boss" all day every day?

Then one day, I learned that it's possible to make money online and live the laptop lifestyle!

This information threw me into ecstatic!

I said to myself, "This is something I WANT!"

We live in a new age, the age of the INTERNET.

It's the future!

So my decision to go for it as fast as lightning.

But I didn't know where to start...

You see, the net is full of scammers and get-rich-quick schemes.

I don't even have to say that I had a tough time finding someone who can teach me about making money online.

I bet you share my experience, right?

Shortly after I started my quest for this perfect opportunity, I found myself sitting at a business seminar in one of Dublin's hotels.

The theme of the workshop was how to start your own business. Thomas Cullen (the last name on my language means sausage LOL) was a man behind the whole shebang.

Third or maybe the fourth day of the seminar, Mr Cullen introduced us to a lady who was a guest speaker in his workshop.

Her name was Sandra Hennesy, and she is an expert in online marketing!

While she was holding her presentation about the world of SEO, online marketing, and everything that goes with it, my heart was pumping like crazy!

I knew that this is something I WANT!

But I couldn't afford her service at that time...

Days went by, and I was still looking for this perfect opportunity.

Then one day, I saw John Crestani's advertisement on YouTube for his program called the Internet Jetset.

Mrs Sandra's idea flashed through my mind, and I had to act immediately.

After participating in Crestani's free webinar, I paid $50 to get started with his course immediately.

His Internet JetSet program had thought me some basics of affiliate marketing, such as how to set up your website, do keyword research, and a few other things.

But the problem was, Crestani left a massive hole in his course with a purpose to push expensive up-sales, which made me angry, so I cancelled his session.

I paid four monthly memberships, but I wasn't sorry.

You see, my decision to quit the Internet Jetset took me to another place.

One day, I got an open invitation to learn affiliate marketing through Wealthy Affiliate platform.

I still can't remember from whom did I got this invitation, but all I knew was, I was a sceptic to open it at first.

The invitation was sitting there, in my mailbox, for days and days looking at me with large eyes calling me to join in.

I was scammed already (a small price to pay on your way to success), so I was staring back at it for some time to see what will happen.

But soon enough, I opened the email, clicked the link, followed the instructions, and the rest is HISTORY!

Today, I'm writing this post with a smile on my face :)

The first goal that I had in my mind was to quit 9-5 and become a full-time online marketer.

It took me a year to figure out how to make this move. Not an easy one in your thirties, trust me.

The decision, however, was easy.

Making a move and doing it took some time.

Today, I am here to share my experience, my knowledge, and to motivate you to succeed as well.

I joined WA almost three years ago.

Since then, I managed to build a few sites, all of which produce passive income.

I managed to quit my job and start living the Laptop Lifestyle.
