Good question, Christine, sorry I have no idea, but will look down to see if some one and/or Kyle come up with something we both can use!
I find time and again that putting a question up as a discussion provides the best and easiest answer!
Create a custom menu, then add that menu as a side widget. This is the best way to do this as then you can control exactly what goes into the menu.

After you Save a custom menu, it will show up within your Menus when you add a custom menu as a widget.
