Our Friends In Florida
This is just a very very quick blog today to let all our friends who are in Florida and being affected by this horrible female hurricane called Irma know we are all thinking of and praying for them.
I know that I have been thinking lots about Rick (Cosmicradio), Davida (DShenky) and all the others who are either there or have family in Florida.
I am sure that everyone here who are not involved are keeping everything crossed for you all, that you are all ok and are safe.
I have just been shown a quick video of Downtown Miami that someone has put on twitter and it is so sad to see what is happening.

very strong winds blowing and continuous rain, lights flickered. live on the ground floor and ground so saturated water seeped up into an enclosed patio and down a wall beside the patio

I have read from someone who lives in South Miami said there was no flooding! What does one believe anymore - A supposed video, or a supposed person who lives there? Crazy!

Well from what we have seen people putting things up on twitter, there has definitely been flooding. I will try and get the link for the clip we saw on twitter.

My understanding from watching the weather on news all day is Miami and Ft. Lauderdale got nailed with water and wind. Lots of destruction there.
These storms are unpredictable and this thing has changed directions more than once. I think the current prediction is it will reach Rick's area maybe later tonight and is supposed to reach my area tomorrow ( I am a bit more north of where Rick is). We've had rain here all day but coming from a nor'easter more than from the Hurricane, so we are getting weather from a combination. I too worry about Rick and those in his surrounding area...Tampa Bay area I think is only about 10 feet above sea level. Maybe he will get a chance to chime in here today and let us know more. There are tornado watches out as well in a variety of areas. All of Florida is certainly getting something...none of which is good. Keep the thoughts and prayers coming as I am as well!

So am I praying for Rick, Mike and just hoping that he will be ok. I am good friends with Rick and wouldn't like to see anything happen to him.
Keeping my fingers, toes, arms. legs, eyes and any thing else that will cross, crossed for Rick. xxx

I keep thinking about Rick and hoping he is ok, my thoughts and prayers go out to all our WA friends and everyone else who has also been affected.
Hope we hear from them soon. Although, they will have much more on their minds than work, Sue :)
