Hi Cate
With Codes you can either use a Widget to place on your Sidebar or insert them directly into your article/blog using the TEXT function instead of Visual.
If you have photos its the same procedure as uploading any other pic/image.
Perhaps they are PING instead of JPG.
Best to use JPG Interchange Format
Horizontal Banners are best inserted into your page with their code.

I have created a short tutorial and can't find how to publish it.
Is there a minimum length that this should be
It needs to be a minimum of 4 pages. If it's shorter than that then it should be a blog post.

My friend would like to upgrade to premium membership but would like to do it under a site that we have created and manage through WA,is this possible and if so how do we go ab

If your friend is already a WA member. he is already registered through someone.
know if he is new, he can go to your WA Profile site and sign-up.

You can create a new user account on the website for her to use How to Create a New User in Wordpress

If my domain has been pointed to your servers at WA why doesn't it show up in my domains box?
If you built the site somewhere else you also have to move the content over, if you have just bought the name it can take 48hrs to move over.. if it is another site this might help you How do i move a wordpress site from another web host to wa?
When you go to build your domain you just click on "A Domain I Own" and then type in the name of your website. Fill in the rest of the details and click build. Hope this helps you out, if you need any more help you can send me a private message.

You have to go to 'Build Your Websites Here' (blue SiteRubix button on left) and build a website using your domain name. If you have any content on your site then you need to contact support to ask them to move the content for you BEFORE you change the name servers (DNS).
