My Deck Of Cards

I am not one to cut corners and waste time.

Maybe it is because life did not deal me those cards. You know? The ones called "luck". I never got any of those.

The story of my life is one of constant movement - action - to push through and fiercely go forward.

Time, as I see it, is not a luxury. So, I do not let it simply slide by.

My fierceness is too often misunderstood and that has increased my need to be my own keeper, earner, best friend, all the labels.

Hold up though!

You are probably thinking: "What's your point, Cassi?"

Well, My Point is . . .

. . . this.

If you have been "giving it a go" for some time and it is not happening for you then, you may not be ready to face the truth.

What "truth", you ask?

The truth may be that your desire, passion and motivation are not deeply rooted and tightly tied to what you SAY you want to achieve. In other words, your actions are detached from your words and your goals.

You have not reached your Congruent Point.

This week, one of our Wealthy Affiliate (WA) Ambassadors shared that many of our members SAY they want help but are not prepared to DO the work.

If that is you, you are not ready.

My suggestion would be to go get ready and return.

You Cannot Hide

Building an online business is not like the traditional workplace where you can coast, relax in the washroom or kill time at the water cooler.

Those behaviours will not get you very far here.

You have to show up, consistently, learn, unlearn, put into practice, try, fail, try again and keep that momentum fed. If you really want to succeed in our business - our profession - you have to own it all.

Kyle keeps saying this: "Our business is not rocket science." There are fundamentals and once you get those right, the world can be your oyster.

And, the number one fundamental that should be part of your DNA is making a decision to DO the work required to succeed, consistently.

Remember, if you are not getting the results you want, Change Your Script!

Have a great weekend!

Thank you, Cassi,

You have brought up a good point in this post, some members might not realize it does take dedication to succeed in this business.

When you are doing something that you love and are helping people, you will experience the rewards when the time is right

This is not a get-rich scheme, but a new career

Jeff

It is a career indeed, Jeff.

Thank you for sharing.

Enjoy the remainder of your day, Cassi

Jeff

You too, Jeff.

Couldn't have said it better myself Cassi!

Anything and everything worth having in all aspects of our lives will require us to put in the effort, no one else is going to do for us!!

Enjoy what is left of your weekend my friend!

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜‰

It was a lovely weekend, Nick and I hope for you also.

Thank you for your kind feedback.

Hi there, Cassi,

Thank you for sharing your thought-provoking message. I am quite sure this will resonate with all of us on some level. It is not always easy to stay on task. However, we must stay consistent and put our best foot forward.

You brought the message home. This reminds me of the reality show American Idol. Even though Simon sent a few people who auditioned back to the drawing board, some of them returned and aced their second audition.

The WA training has all of the tools we need to succeed and it prepares us for success, provided that we put in the time and effort. Change does happen at the congruent point.

Rachele

I love American Idol, Rachele, and Simon cuts straight to the chase.
No buttering at all.

That is what we need sometimes - most times - to hear the truth.

Thank you for sharing.

Cassi

Absolutely, Cassi,
I am with you on this one.

Rahele

Great, Rachele! ๐Ÿค—

Good morning Cassi,

Thank you for another thought-provoking and truthful post!

It's funny that you mention Kyle, as we have been speaking similar things in one of his blog posts about keeping it simple! I'm all for simple or, as Kyle said, the Kiss Principle!

I like your example of relaxing in the washroom and being at the water cooler; those principles don't work for an online business or offline business if you work for yourself!

I see so many people come and go here; many of them make no effort at all! Of course, we also know that many people work very hard! I had someone write on my profile saying that they would get back to me soon. I thanked them for the message but said that I didn't expect to hear from them again! Sometimes, you just see those signs that people are not going to take action!

Many of us know that we need to change our script!๐Ÿ˜Š

Wishing you a fantastic weekend.

Roy

PS: I always appreciate your wise words and realism, Cassi!

Roy, you are a gem.
I appreciate you and all the feedback and support you give to me and many others in WA.

You are always fully present and authentic and I value that highly.

It is easy now for me to discern who will steer the course and who simply talks about their dreams.
But that is life across the board, isn't it>

Have a lovely week ahead.

Thank you, Cassi, that's kind of you, I don't often get referred to like that!!๐Ÿ˜Š

There is something good about helping others and sharing in their joy and struggles. I think it's important to encourage each other. You certainly won't receive an AI response from me. The only time I occasionally reply with AI is when someone has written an AI blog post!!

When I hear stories from people like Roope, yourself and many other members, it really does fill me with joy!

It's always very easy to talk about her dreams and not take any action. I have to be quite strict with myself otherwise I could actually easily drift, which I don't want!

I have often wondered what percentage of members on the Wealthy Affiliate platform genuinely take action. I actually think it would be really low, especially the ones that have achieved genuine success.

We do have to remember that the Wealthy Affiliate platform basically supplies everything you need to be successful. There is just one ingredient that we have to use and that is to work consistently!

Have a fantastic week.

Roy

You have validated my thought as well, Roy.

I do think that the number of WA members who actually DO is fairly low.
Most people are fooled into thinking that online success will happen if they just idle the time away.

That is unfortunate but also a part of life.

Hope the day is a good one. ๐Ÿ™‚

Good morning Cassi,

That's good! Great minds think alike!

I think so too, Cassi, the sad part is that we are potentially sitting on a goldmine! But of course, we do have to take action.

It kind of saddens me when I see people who are desperate for success, but you know it's not going to happen.

Sometimes I will have live chat open on another monitor, I must admit I don't use live chat a huge amount, just now and then! So often, I see things like, I hope this platform works as I have wasted so much money on other online courses.

And then another common remark is that I want my money back, or this platform just doesn't work for me! When I go to their profile page, they haven't even filled in their own profile, written a blog post or asked a single question! Those people really need to change the script!

I guess this is why so many people work for a company!

Have a great day.

Roy

"I guess this is why so many people work for a company!"

That is exactly the point, Roy.
We have more followers than leaders.
More people who are not willing to do the work required to succeed.
More people who toe the line.

It is unfortunate.

Cassi

I'm glad that you can understand where I'm coming from, Cassi!

I guess the good thing is that the Internet has certainly opened up a lot of opportunities for people. And of course, some people are able to work from home, but still work for a company, which I guess, has its plus points.

With my offline business, I meet a lot of tree surgeons and landscaping professionals etc. I can see that some of them are really excellent and clued up and there are others that just muddle along! They would almost be better off working for someone!

I guess we are all made differently which kind of makes life interesting.

Enjoy your weekend.

Roy

"we are all made differently which kind of makes life interesting."

It sure does, Roy.
And that is what makes life so colourful and enjoyable. ๐Ÿค—

Cassi

I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people, Cassi, as everyone has their own uniqueness and character! I must admit, I have met some unbelievable characters over the years!

As you mention, it certainly helps to make life more enjoyable and colourful!

Sometimes you meet people that are really funny and they don't even realise it, they are just naturally funny without knowing it!

Fascinating stuff!

Have a great week.

Roy

Reading through this made me think of my own saying. When you are self-employed, every minute, every hour that you waste, you are really unemployed. So get back to making it happen. The bottom line, is that time not well spent is time lost.

Well said, Donald.

Very good interesting

Thank you Jeffrey.

Hit the nail on the head. Some people say it is a generational thing, but I am prone to believe unless you have had a taste of being poor, you never want to go back there. And those are the people who, given half a chance, will succeed. Those people who have gotten up at 4.30 in the morning to catch a bus for 1 hour to do commercial cleaning when you are 14 so you can save money for University. ( lol, yep) . Real people, real stories l. The quiet ones who just do the work and do it day in and day out. They will succeed.
The ones who talk about it and complain that the training isnโ€™t up to date, or no one has explained or helped them or they donโ€™t have enough money. Wellโ€ฆ you know where Iโ€™m going with this..
Cheerios
Stevoi

P.S I have work coming out of my proverbial..lol.

Oh, Stevoi!
We have travelled those roads together, I am sure.

I spent the first 6 years of my life with my grandmother who could not read or write.
She sold produce in the market in our city and I was there with her.
Sleeping on the crates, in the back of her van or on the side of the streets.
I learned to read and do math because I had to do it for her.

I go to that market now and see 3rd and 4th generations descended from family members who sold with my grandmother and me.
We worked hard and created a better life for ourselves.
For whatever reason, they stayed on that path.

My grandmother taught me the power of discernment and choice.
I value that part of my life deeply.

Thank you for sharing. ๐Ÿค—

For me, Cassi, doing the work means writing. I finished post number 110 today. That seems pretty good until I look at it compared to what you, Catherine, Jeff, Frank, Rudy, and many more have written. It is a start, though.

I have always been a worker, but transitioning to writing was not easy. Getting into THAT habit is not the same as showing up for work. No one is watching you, pushing you. The watching and pushing have to come from within. If one wants success in this business, they have to write.

I have a question for you, Cassi. What does it mean when you constantly dream about this business? ...sometimes realizing success, and sometimes pushing or pulling, or being pulled by an intangible heaviness? Haha, no nightmares so far.

I enjoyed the walk down congruent lane. Nicely done.

Dave

Anything new requires us to push the boundaries, learn new ways and weave different habits into our lives.
Do you know the saying:
"If you keep doing what you are doing, you will keep getting what you are getting"?

You must "Change Your Script" to change your life.
It starts there with language and thoughts.

I constantly visualise my successes.
I see them, feel them, enjoy them, taste them.
For me, my visualizations are real and it is only a matter of time for me to hold them and live them in the present.

Keep pushing forward.
I wish you much success.

Thank you.
