Great responses here; kindly let us know if you need additional assistance.

You are well covered here with Partha and Eric. I can honestly say that I yet have made a cent in 10 months here! It does get frustrating if you go at it only for an income and expecting to see revenue within a few short months.
Even if you started a brick-and-mortar business it is a ton of work to build a customer base. You must strive to show how you can be better than your competitors. Like I said I have yet to see a single cent of revenue but the knowledge I have acquired in priceless.
I can't say that my future is here in a few years but it without a doubt will be for the most of my foreseeable future. As of now I will continue learning and bettering myself so that I can achieve my goals. Remember easy come is easy go. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you stick it out a bit longer to unlock more of that potential.

Kevin and Son

I wanted to add on to what Partha and Eric mentioned. I'm still learning myself and your blog titles scream out to even myself as not being good titles for keywords.

The top article for example, "Brush techniques" is not recommended in Jaaxy. While I don't rely solely on Jaaxy, it is a great first step in weeding out crap long tail keywords.

According to Jaaxy, that keyword gets about 80 searches per month. It predicts that IF you could get to the first page of Google for it you might see 14 visits a month.

The QSR (quotations around the keyword) is 164 sites competing directly with that string, and has a horrible SEO of 80.

While I'm about as far from being an artist as one can get, out of curiosity I looked and there are different types of brush techniques. I then went to read your blog and you actually mention many different types, each very briefly.

Each one of those techniques probably would fare better with an in depth explanation, perhaps with pictures or better yet, video demonstrating.

Out of further curiosity I checked one of the techniques on a different website called flat brush technique. While it might still be difficult for a new site to rank well for, it's headed in the right direction.

Jaaxy says there are only 32 direct competitors and ranks a still difficult but better 87 for SEO. However the KGR would still be horrible for this with an allintitle search showing 761 results.

But headed in the right direction as I said.

I notice on several searches you will be seeing John Lovett A LOT. Google loves what he has done in this niche and according to Keywords Everywhere he ranks for a lot of keywords on each post.

I would study his site if this is a passion of yours. Get a feel for how he discusses this. I also note he is not pushing affiliate marketing, but instead offers training videos. I mention this to lead into the following.

You are pushing the affiliate part to much in my opinion.

On the post we are discussing here, you have Amazon links to mundane everyday items such as paper towels. No real lead in, such as I prefer using this Canvas because...

Just a hyperlink over the word Canvas.

Whatever small amount of traffic you may have gotten will not be inspired to click on any of those links.

Ok, enough on that part.

It also stands out to me that your posts aren't categorized. This will also penalize you further in search. You need to start adding categories to your posts.

Looking into your about me page, you come across with a more personalized style that is appealing. I recommend somehow getting this energy into your posts as you move forward choosing better keywords. That energy is what will inspire folks to buy the (insert product) that you recommend,

When you get your good keyword, do a rough draft pretending you are talking with a new friend who is interested. Write with that same passion and voice and pretend they are asking questions as you go along and answer those questions.

Best of luck.

Regards,

Jason

I'm really sorry Casey, but if you want honesty, I'll give it to you.

So, this won't be anything like the flowery, "Yay, we can all do this, let's motivate each other" that is synonymous with the platform.

Realistically, Eric has absolutely nailed it.

But, here's the harsh truth...

Your site appears to have been created by someone who has NEVER EVER EVEN SEEN THE TRAINING.

You have a Premium Plus membership, but the website that you've created screams, I have a Starter membership, so I haven't followed any training whatsoever.

Unfortunately, creating a website is NOT

"Build and they will come" _-Nope, nada, not on your life.

Your do realise that the vast majority, oh YES, the majority of websites online never get any rankings or traffic?

And this is typically down to the owners not understanding the process.

The very first you need to do is go through the 50 lessons of the OEC training again.

Do not do anything else until you have completed that.

The most basic principle of Blogging and SEO is choosing phrases (keywords) that you have the potential to rank in the search engines for.

You haven't done this in any of your blog posts!!!!

One of the biggest issues with anyone new to this business is that people want to WRITE WHAT THEY WANT TO WRITE ABOUT!!

Completely WRONG!!

You NEVER "write want you want to write about" until you're rich and famous, and people are hanging off your every word.

Until then, you WRITE ABOUT TOPICS THAT PEOPLE IN YOUR NICHE ARE GENUINELY INTEREST IN.

How do you find this information?

You RESEARCH IT.

You visit Quora, Reddit, Forums, Faebook Groups, etc. that are related to your niche and RESEARCH what they are talking about, what they're interested in, what they want to know more about, what problems they're having.

Here's a couple of blog posts I've written about choosing niches, starting a new website. AND NEXT, and most importantly is learning keyword research.

Without properly optimized blog posts, based around a "longtail keyword with little Google page one competition" you will NEVER rank, you will NEVER get visitors, and you will NEVER make any money.

What surprises me is that your site is now 11 months old and you are not aware of this - it's the MOST IMPORTANT PART of the training.

Next, 15 articles in 11 months??

REALLY???

Honestly, if you really wanted this, you would've written at least 150-200 articles by now (and articles that geared towards WHAT YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE WANTS TO KNOW).

I'm really sorry if this comes across as harsh Casey...
I'm sure you'll get lots of membrs sympathising, telling you what a "bad man" I am, and that you can do this, and then plucking some random motivational quote out the air.

Do you think THAT will help you to succeed?

Guess what, NOPE!!

Take this as a kick in the butt

AND

IF YOU REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want this

And I mean REALLY WANT THIS.

Give yourself a kick in the butt.

Without doing (or understanding) the most basic and important part of the training (keywprd research), you WILL NOT be successful.

By writing 15 articles over an 11-month period you WILL NOT be successful.

Seriously, you do know that there are people out there writing (themselves, without outsourcing or using AI) 300-500 article per year?

That to me is proof they WANT THIS.

Unfortunately, I feel that too many people are in love with the idea of making money online, but few are willing to put in the monumental effort required to achieve this.

Sorry, if this offends you, that is NOT my intention.

I'm trying to give you a butt-kicking so you finally come to terms with the fact that you are simply coasting, not educating yourself, and NOT working hard enough.

No-one has any excuses for not being more knowledgeable about this business (or anything for that matter) - you do realise that every single piece of human knowledge and information created in the history of mankind is available at your fingertips - Google & YouTube should be your best friends.

Do you really want this or not?

Partha

Thank you very much for your comprehensive, and stark honesty. I will be sure to take your recommendations to heart, and give this another go.

Much appreciated!

-Casey

I think it would serve you well to go back through those first lessons on content creation again, from keyword research to understanding how to SEO your articles, now with fresh eyes that have a little experience under their belt.

The first thing that stands out to me are your article titles. Like the training teaches us, we want these titles not only to stand out and be thought provoking, but we need to have our focus keyword in them as well.

We create this content so that it’s the answer to our target audience’s searches, so that when they make a google search our content shows up as the answer, ranking near the top on page 1, so they can click on our stuff and find their answer, right?

One of your post titles, for example , is “Oils”.

This is much, much too broad of a keyword. There’s no way it would land as the top answer to a google search.

Another title you have is “Additional Techniques”. This title is completely vague.

So what you can absolutely improve on is your keyword research and SEO, targeting specialized keywords with low competition and decent traffic numbers.

All of your posts are listed as “Uncategorized” as well. Create categories for your content so your audience can find more info about relevant topics once they’re at your site.

What they would be expecting to see at a website are specific, meaningful articles like “How to Perfect the Wiping Away Brush Technique”. Do you see the difference? That article already sounds like it’s going to be an answer to a search.

This would be an reticle that you could see someone clicking on after making a google search on that topic, know what I mean?

Go back through the lessons and you’ll better understand the points you missed the first time around :) Focus on learning above everything else.

Dear WA Community,
I am currently stuck at a juncture where I feel if I could just get over the hump, success is within reach. For the past number of months I have stagnated

I would write quality, succinct content addressing issues about my niche with a good choice of targeted, searchable keywords worthy of your visitor's attention, onward sharing onto social media platforms for organic outreach.

I am sadly still not entirely grasping this. I wrote (what I believe to be) quality, original material pertaining directly to my niche. Do you need to formally submit various keywords sourced from your article to google? Or, is everything you write able to deliver keywords to the search engine automatically, as soon as you upload it to the web? I figured that if I focused on creating choice material, it would naturally be peppered with keywords that would yield traffic. I really want to figure this out as I invested a great deal of effort into crafting my articles.

The key to driving traffic to your content is keyword research and creating content that is the answer to your target audience's most popular (and low competition) questions.

Partha has great insight on this with all his blog posts on keyword research. He breaks it down in a way that makes sense. I highly recommend checking that out and using that hand in hand with the lessons in the training.

Are you using Google Analytics and Google Search Console? Do you have any query words? What is your bounce rate for posts? If it is high you have an opportunity to make your post more captivating.

I would write quality succinct content addressing issues in relation to my niche with a good choice of targeted searchable keywords worthy of your visitors attention, onward sharing onto social media platforms for organic outreach.

You would need content and TRAFFIC before applying to affiliate programs as typically they would inspect your site prior approval.

You may be able to get accepted to Amazon sooner however you still have to satisfy the quota doing three sales in 180 days.

Sadly, I think a great deal of effort has been for not, as I did not realize the implications of lifting images from google to use on my site. My understanding of this issue ha

The easiest answer (though possibly not all you need) is to only use images from Site Content here (there are a TON) or take your own photos. If you take your own you can still get in trouble if you show copyrighted products however.

I try to stick to only Site Content or the images provided through an affiliate that I am member of.

There are other sources but be careful to follow all the instructions in the training to determine which ones you can use.

well if the original owners of the images find them on your site they can request money as you are using them as advertising without permission and pursue you through the courts to reclaim thier monies...effectively it is copyright theft in the eye of the law....
some monitor the web religously others may just have a quick search on google...
but i would be trying to replace all of the images you jsut downloaded from the net with images from the free online resources...
i know of at least two who have been sued for copyright infringement....

You can either access via site content area - websites tab top menu

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/content

I click the highlighted mountain button. Or You cannot include an image from a program if you are not affiliated with them.

You cannot include images from anywhere, they may be subject to copyright, including a source isn't enough you need written permission from the original owner.

What are the hard and fast rules surrounding image usage?

My question is about how to implement affiliate links so that you may monetize your site, specifically Amazon. I have selected Amazon because it seems to be the easiest way to

Hi - are you trying to join Amazon.com rather than Amazon.ca

If so, you can't be paid by direct transfer. You need a bank account in either the US (USD), United Kingdom (GBP and EUR), or Eurozone (EUR).

You would have to be paid by gift card or check.

I did a browser search on Canada routing numbers. This is what I foudn.
What is a routing number?
In Canada, banks and other financial institutions use routing numbers to identify individual bank branches. A routing number is a combination of a five-digit transit number (also called a branch number) and a three-digit financial institution number.

The institution number - three digits - identifies your bank.
The transit number - five digits - shows which branch you opened your account at.
A bank routing number is used by banks, credit unions and trust companies to process cheque and electronic transactions such as funds transfers, direct deposits, digital cheques, recurring loan and bill payments within Canada.

Does that help?
Can you do an Amazon chat and get some help from Amazon?

Yes, I will be following up with Amazon. Thanks very much for the research you did.

You are very welcome.

You need to follow up with Amazon how it can be done otherwise.
