Fake It Until You MAKE It! - I Have No SHAME
YOU Have To Make It Happen
My career started in the Insurance industry as an Actuarial Intern. One of my early initiatives was designing training programmes for Insurance Agents on the products and services our company offered.
Insurance Agents have all these somewhat tacky sayings like, "Fake it until you make it."
As tacky as it may sound, what they are trying to tell you is to prepare yourself for the success that you want to attract.
If your thoughts, words, feelings and behaviours are not aligned you will always be functioning in conflict with yourself. You may get some success but not a huge success.
The key words in that saying are "MAKE IT".
YOU have to make it happen.
How Faking It Helps
I am a proud supporter of Prince Partha's Potions (The 3 Ps). You all know that by now.
In short - they work! So, why should I reinvent the wheel?
Call me lazy. Call me impatient. No problem.
I WANT to succeed. I WILL succeed. The Prince succeeds. Study The 3 Ps.
And that is exactly what I have been doing.
I have been mocking the Prince and doing what he does - online.

I Have No Shame
So what am I doing?
Well, I have been structuring my website's blog posts EXACTLY the way Prince Partha does. Okay, there may be 1 or 2 slight differences in personal style.
PRINCE PARTHA'S BLOG POST TITLE
LaMP INTERNATIONAL'S BLOG POST TITLE
LaMP INTERNATIONAL'S BLOG POST LAYOUT
PRINCE PARTHA'S BLOG POST LINKING
LaMP INTERNATIONAL'S BLOG POST LINKING
What I am Observing
Two of the key successes, since I started to write my blog posts using this layout, is that:
- more of my content is being read and,
- visitors are staying longer on my website.
That is because, (I have concluded), my links to RELATED > content is more prominent.
It makes all the better sense - NOW.
It also helps me to think more strategically about how my content flows and what related content I can refer my visitors to.
As the Prince instructed, I am NOW keeping my blog posts simple and still concentrating my efforts on:
- keyword research and,
- writing quality content - every day.

Hi Cassi...As you started off the article, I too have had to do this (as I'm sure others have had to do as well), at least until one has acquired enough experience to improve the process or take a new path and create a better new way.
After all, this is how children start in the world until they become old enough to begin their path in life.
Thank you
-Mike
Mike, you make an excellent point here.
It is an "Ah-Ha" moment for me perhaps connected to what is called the 'Imposter Syndrome'.
But it makes very good sense indeed.
Why spend 3 years re-creating what is already there and working so perfectly?
Improve rather than start from scratch.
Thank you for sharing.

My dear Cassi, that is not Mocking....that is called 'Hacking' . A totally legitimate way without actually copying.
Good for you, as you can see how it works so well for you!!
Hacking is something I learned a couple of years ago, taight by the crew at ClickFunnels.
Groove funnels (appeared to have) hacked Clickfunnels. That was the first thing I noticed when I checked out Groove. A total A-HA moment!
Congrats to your success, Cassi!

So all I have to do is get my technical jargon right, Rudy?
That is good news and I have learned something else new today.
Thank you!
Cassi
Yes, technical jargon can be different across the continents! See, you improve because you continue to learn new things!
You're very welcome, Cassi!

That's really great, Cassi! Why reinvent the wheel? If it works do it! I finally tried one of Partha's methods yesterday when writing a post. I don't know how well it will do but I definitely was able to find some good keywords that aren't too competitive for me and that I could actually write about pretty easily. I actually got about 2500 words into this post. I hope it does well. The linking part is a whole additional thing that I need to work out, but first I want to focus on trying to get good at this keyword post-writing method.
I will watch that post and hope that it is successful, and do some more that way!

You have made an EXCELLENT 1st step there, Barbara.
Build your content and move on from there.
Let me know how you get on.

Great post! I think many don’t truly understand the meaning of ‘Fake it till you make it’. And you did a fine job of sharing what it means!
Also, I 💯 agree that the best way to being successful is following what other successful people are already doing!
Thanks for sharing your observations!
You are very welcome, Lisa.
Thank you for your kind feedback.
Cassi
Your welcome hun!
Have a great week, Lisa!
