Shouldn't we work out all the bugs before publishing our websites?
When I began in January, I was totally new to building a website. The training has been awesome as well as the community here on Wealthy Affiliate. Whenever I get stumped and have a question, there is always someone here in the community to answer it within minutes or even seconds. Thank you for that!
As we are building our websites, we are encouraged to ask for feedback. For the most part, the feedback's have been very useful. But the confusing part is where one person might say my images are too large and the next will say they look great or my font is too big and the next might say it's too small. Those are just a couple of examples. Don't get me wrong, I like getting feedback, but during all this, my website is out there for all to see and I'm thinking it's a complete disaster, and maybe I need to start from scratch again or completely give up. Before my website is our there for all the world to see, I would like it to be 100% ready.
There is so much to learn about building a website. It's definitely fun, but challenging at the same time.

I agree. We are taught to publish. I don't let the feedback get to me unless it is about grammar or spelling. The other is about taste the fact that people are saying different things prove that. Go with your heart, there is someone with your taste that will like it. I have a pie business and sometimes I think I messed up,and the person will tell me how much they loved it. I sweated for nothing. So remember it is also about taste or point of view.
Hello Caryn, I understand the dilemma! One reason for publishing early in the process is so that others here at WA can start helping you build up your site by giving you comments etc. That's a part of what the great and mighty google looks at as they rank your site. Keep trucking!
Blessings,
Debby
Hello Caryn, your website should always be a work in progress. So to answer your question, the answer is no. As you move forward you will get suggestions and also learn of ways to improve your site and that is a good thing. That keeps it fresh and attracting. You will always have someone who does not like the colour, the font size, etc. My rule of thumb is listen to the majority.
Image sizes, font sizes and color selections are typically matters of opinion, not fact. While one person might suggest larger image sizes, another might suggest smaller ones. Within reason, they're both right and both wrong.
You might as well satisfy yourself with your site since you'll never be able to satisfy everybody else.
I felt the same way about wanting my website to be perfect before I published it.
I will likely always be held back by that inner desire to have everything perfect, but the reality is, it will never be perfect and it does not have to be perfect.
It just needs to get out there and begin its journey on the internet.
The whole world won't be viewing your site at first. Only a few will be seeing it, but no one will ever see it if you don't finally hit that publish button.
Lose just offered to view your site. You are lucky to have her checking it out for you. Do not miss that great opportunity to get her input. She is amazing, incredibly knowledgable and very helpful.
You are in good hands. Lucky you!!!

I love your website:) it has a great header, but it doesn't come to it's right, because of the green background. It would look so much better on a white background, perhaps with adding some green to it? (screenshot)
Your about me page, your smile is great on the profile picture, but the quality is bad.
The font:
Don't switch font sizes, make use of H3-H6 (screenshot)
FIT AFTER 40-IT’S NEVER TOO LATE is the way to do it:)
Make use of your "Make the Change" image under every post.
Send everyone to WA who clicks that image
That's my 2 cents:)
When you get a chance, will you take a look at my site again? I think I made the changes. LOL!
Thank you!
Caryn
Great! Much fresher! Your sub-line is more visible too now
HERE TO HELP WOMEN AS THEY AGE BECOME OR STAY HEALTHY AND FIT
However, my English is not that well, is this line written in impeccable English?
As they age become? Is that correct?
Your logo and URL does say that already, no need to repeat the 40 + part

I agree that building a website is fun and challenging. In my opinion, a website will never be perfect. So, if you wait too long you are only delaying success. Plus, if there are things you want to fix, I tend to be more motivated to do it sooner rather than later if other people might see it.
When you get feedback, you are getting people's OPINIONS. If you are lucky, some of them might give the reason why they think as they do. Ultimately, you have to consider the different opinions and decide what YOU want to do. You will never please everyone.
Different views and suggestions tend to confuse a person asking for advice, instead of helping out. One might get so frustrated, that the whole project is either scrapped, or put on hold...like forever?

You can work forever on making it perfect and never get a product. If it does the job, ship it! You can always improve it later.
