Hi, UGC is user-generated content, which is content inside a social media platform. When we type in a keyword, we see articles from Reddit, Quora, Medium, and LinkedIn. Those articles rank on page 1 on the search results page.

You are right. As you stated, the" answers lack another qualifier." Hence, you need to pay attention to it. It is a goldmine for website bloggers because Google lacks content from website writers.

I wrote more step-by-step explanations on how to find user-generated content on those platforms to find questions that have not been answered in your niche. So, I will walk you through it all in tomorrow's post. It's scheduled to be posted at 10 am Pacific Standard Time on the West Coast of the USA. Watch for that post. I listed what to do for each platform.

So you can write those articles on your website and get ranked along with those platforms as mine did. It works! The experiment I am doing works. I write in the question and I write a full blog post explaining more in details rather than a short answer, I wrote step by step of how something needs to be done. For example, people say why affiliate marketing is hard? I wrote something similar to that question, and I went into detail. Now Google has my answer between Reddit and Quora; how cool is that?

I am doing well with Pinterest, but I need to put more time into Facebook and X. I post when I publish a new post on my website and check it, but it has not gotten a lot of traction. I have dipped my toes into Medium ( I have a couple of articles in there). The next steps are to dip my toes further into YouTube and check out Quora and Reddit (it won't hurt to take a look there, too). And, of course, I still post 3 times a week on my Blog. I say quit playing around and jump in lol; get your hands dirty and see where it goes; get those hooks into the wattah :-)

I dont have a Mac I have a Dell :-) someday I'll figure it out, will look better then my stick figures lol.

Pinterest has been slowly increasing traffic to my site.

I may write reviews for high-end guitars and associated electronics and drive traffic to them with paid ads. I won't care if Google doesn't index or rank them.

I'm also considering sending traffic to my site with instructional guitar videos.

The challenge is to do it all in the 2-to-3 hours a day that my schedule can accommodate. 😎

I write best to amuse and inform without too much emphasis on Google or what Google wants. My challenge is UGC; I'm not too fond of those sites as sometimes it is hard to dig through the maze... But there's always room for improvement. I can also do ads.

I do think that paid ads are the way to go for anyone who has the budget and markets products that make the ROI worthwhile.

Direct marketing to an email list is another option and a large targeted list can be built with paid ads to a lead magnet.

Both these methods are search engine update-friendly.

Truth be told, online marketing is more of a hobby for me. I'm more focused on enjoying my upcoming full retirement. 😎

I feel you, Brenda! But with socials, you can get creative and tweak things. Also, listen to what your audience is saying so you can customize. But yeah, it takes effort and time allocation. I lean more to socials vs UGC lol

Hi - if you want to make money directly from Medium, then yes, you do need Claps and Reads from the other members.

But, if you are using it to direct traffic to your website, then you are using the high authority of Medium to rank highly on Google, and don't need Claps or Reads or Followers.

You can directly import posts from your website or rewrite or summarise them.

There we go! Bat em out of hell. Sorry, I got that Meatloaf song stuck in my head. I have not been able to bring myself to the socials. My focus is UGC on my website since they are elevating dumb Reddit users looking for upvotes, which means nothing, but for SEO, it works. It's supposed to be the other way around, so I am showing Google that it can be done. Creating UGC on my site is how I do it; it's still in experimental testing to see if it can be done. I still do Pinterest, but I'm not seeing much traction there either. Im looking for someone who can help me make the posts there and maybe pay someone a small fee for it. I have a few names I am checking into to make sure I don't get taken advantage of.

Yes I have. Too many to chose from but I did get a few names from a YouTuber so I need to make sure they are good before I give it a go to pay someone to do it for me.

I didn't know what I was doing, but with some training and getting my hands dirty, I actually liked making the pins using ChatGPT, Canva, and Dalle. They look so much better now than when I first started, but I am pretty impressed with myself, lol :-) All my numbers are green and going up up up. It may not be for everybody or every niche, but I found a way to make affiliate marketing-related pins. At first I had nothing in the numbers, now, though I am doing the paid ones like $2.00 a day, I am getting really good results, and I think the improvement on the pins is a big factor. Just a thought, because the pins I am not promoting are really taking off as well. Back to Meatloaf and my post im working on, see ya lattah in class.

lattah-we can talk more. I like what you are doing. I have no success with Pinterest. Even with affiliate marketing, there are just way too many people doing the same thing we are. No sign ups no sales so I paid for nothing at all it didn't help all I got was more impressions but no saves or outbound clicks to my website if they are not going there then sure as hell such a waste of my time when I can be solely focused on creating UGC content on my website blogs instead of those socials. they waste my time. I get nowhere there. Paying someone who knows what they are doing can post it for me because I do not understand a thing about it.
