Google Update Coming Again Soon-in Weeks-Oh No-You Scared Yet? ????
(cover image: laptop showing Google search engine home page)
Well, folks, as informed by Search Journal Engine Land, the word is out that another Google Update is coming up, but we do not know when yet. "In weeks, it can be anytime." Just be prepared; many have never recovered from last year's September HCU. Update, and others thrived. Many also didn't recover from the March core update and spam update either.
See the article here.

Now, it is UGC all the way, so it seems that the content on my website will be UGC since that is what Google wants. I am still experimenting with this. My articles are in question formats from Reddit and Quora (that have not been answered or answered with vague responses) and some of those articles rank well. I need to be consistent in posting them every day. I am hoping some of those articles will gain traction. My articles go into depth, answering those questions and filling the gaps, as well as walking them through a step-by-step process focusing on my niche.
I encourage you to scour those places and make your articles top-notch, like Meatloaf's song states, to beat them and bat them out of hell! 😀👍🥁🎸. Go and get em!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Meatloaf; I am not scared; I keep my head down and keep moving ahead, plowing through the obstacles; LOL Some I actually put up myself, laugh, shake my head, and move on from those as well. People always say, "Kerri, why do you always do things the hard way?" I still don't have an answer for that one, LOL. Just keep working, learning, and growing. That is my plan.
Hi Kerri
Those are Mac emojis. Press the function (fn) button and they will pop up. 😎

I am doing well with Pinterest, but I need to put more time into Facebook and X. I post when I publish a new post on my website and check it, but it has not gotten a lot of traction. I have dipped my toes into Medium ( I have a couple of articles in there). The next steps are to dip my toes further into YouTube and check out Quora and Reddit (it won't hurt to take a look there, too). And, of course, I still post 3 times a week on my Blog. I say quit playing around and jump in lol; get your hands dirty and see where it goes; get those hooks into the wattah :-)
I dont have a Mac I have a Dell :-) someday I'll figure it out, will look better then my stick figures lol.
👍🤣 LOL, there was another of those obstacles I put in my own way .... gosh sometimes I think my brain is on a permanent retirement.🎶
There I go doing things the hard way lol
I may go the round about way, but hey its all a learning experience right ? 🐶
Alexa is playing Meatloaf now. If you have more hooks, you have more opportunity, is how I look at it. I'll try to remember to keep an eye out for it.
Here is a site that has a bunch of emojis you just copy and paste.

Hi Brenda
Thanks for the post! Yeah, I saw that article in Search Engine Land.
In the "old days," helpful content that answered the query authoritatively and comprehensively and followed basic SEO was a workable approach to ranking on page one or two of Google.
These days, organic traffic from Google is all about the high domain authority that comes from extensively building out a brand in a variety of ways, with high content quality having become optional. EEAT is just an acronym that Google likes to throw around but does not follow. Just my opinion.
I agree with Lizzy and her approach. 🎯 💯
I was never terribly concerned about what Google will do next and doubt that will change much going forward.
After all my planned summer festivities, I will be taking a closer look at my "non-Google" options for moving forward with online marketing. 😎
P.S. I love the guitar solo in that Meat Loaf song with the wide delay and the octave divider! Lol 👍👍 🎶
Rock On! 🤘🥁

Hi, Abie
Pinterest has been slowly increasing traffic to my site.
I may write reviews for high-end guitars and associated electronics and drive traffic to them with paid ads. I won't care if Google doesn't index or rank them.
I'm also considering sending traffic to my site with instructional guitar videos.
The challenge is to do it all in the 2-to-3 hours a day that my schedule can accommodate. 😎
We'll see; for now, it's all about summer fun! Lol ☀️ ⛱️ 🍹

Hi Brenda
My mother used to love J.J. in Good Times, especially when he said, "Dy-No-Mite!" Lol. She was very cool, and all our friends loved her.
I have a B movie with Jimmy Walker in it called "Super Shark." My wife hates it, especially when the shark comes on land and defeats a tank. Hahaha 😂 🦈
Rock On! 🤘

Haha Thanks, Abie! 😂 🙏
I do think that paid ads are the way to go for anyone who has the budget and markets products that make the ROI worthwhile.
Direct marketing to an email list is another option and a large targeted list can be built with paid ads to a lead magnet.
Both these methods are search engine update-friendly.
Truth be told, online marketing is more of a hobby for me. I'm more focused on enjoying my upcoming full retirement. 😎

I hated they killed off James :/ It got too much "JJ" and a little annoying IMO. I think we are going down another rabbit hole LOL.
Hi - if you want to make money directly from Medium, then yes, you do need Claps and Reads from the other members.
But, if you are using it to direct traffic to your website, then you are using the high authority of Medium to rank highly on Google, and don't need Claps or Reads or Followers.
You can directly import posts from your website or rewrite or summarise them.
Drop me a PM, and I will get back to you tomorrow and see how I can help you get started.
google doesnt scare me anymore, it can only get up honestly from google, although I don't expect it at all and don't hope for it anymore, they have lied before. And they have lost my love hahahahaa
this statistics is all from focusing on socials and Reddit, Medium, newsletter and with my forum now installed, which I am going to promote, it can only get better ;-)
Who cares about google these days hahaha
haha, we all 'steal' from socials, that's a part of SEO :-) I use it plenty for my blog itself :-)
I didn't know what I was doing, but with some training and getting my hands dirty, I actually liked making the pins using ChatGPT, Canva, and Dalle. They look so much better now than when I first started, but I am pretty impressed with myself, lol :-) All my numbers are green and going up up up. It may not be for everybody or every niche, but I found a way to make affiliate marketing-related pins. At first I had nothing in the numbers, now, though I am doing the paid ones like $2.00 a day, I am getting really good results, and I think the improvement on the pins is a big factor. Just a thought, because the pins I am not promoting are really taking off as well. Back to Meatloaf and my post im working on, see ya lattah in class.
by the way, yeah I know that song and Meatloaf. Saw him live once in Belgium, the day he fell on the stage, auwch :)
I have worn out his CD's lol, I played them at work when I was in Receiving and Release, he and the Eagles were constantly blaring :-) My poor custody guys were probably tired of listening to them, lol.
I literally wore them out had to keep buying new CDs :-) Desperado was always one of my favorites, I have so many though lol.
Hi Brenda. How are you going about creating UGC content on your websites? I'm not sure if I missed it or if you explain this better in another post..?

What is UGC? What does it mean in question format? I tried Quora a couple of weeks ago but the questions were ridiculous for lack of another qualifier. Same with reddit - I don't know how to find relevant stuff over there . I have 3 articles on Medium not related to my niche. Unfortunately I am a very slow writer too ...Thanks!
Thank you Brenda!
