Hello WA, my name is Kyle (not the owner here at WA). Just a short background on me. I began my internet "career" with a big old scam, being naive as I was. I didn't actually lose any money over it but I was about to. Luckily bank problems I was having actually saved the day because I wasn't able to pay for the scam. After this I was about to give up on the whole make money online thing. Being so close to getting scammed discouraged me, but it was to my luck that I kept researching and found Wealthy Affiliate.

I never thought this would be possible. In fact, I never even thought of affiliate marketing before coming here.

To make a very long story short, WA has been life changing and all for the better. I'll be a member for life without a doubt.

I would be happy earning anything at this point since I am just starting.
If one day I can earn a couple thousand a month I will be ecstatic.
I will put aside time each day to achieve this goal.

yeah I agree with you on that one. I put $5/day for now but really anything is good since we are just starting.

The thing about online success that I have come to learn is that there is room for ALL of us within the online world. There is no marketplace that is bigger and there is nowhere that represents this kind of opportunity, regardless of your niche, passions and interests (and it only continues to grow!!)

Take action on the training here at WA, immerse yourself within the awesome and helpful community here at WA... and ask for help when you need it. You will be well on your way to achieve your goals Kyle!

Hi Kyle, i have choosing a Niche ( yes, in my mind now ). Of course it's base on my hobby/interest. It's related to Badminton. As you know, badminton have a lot of things involved, eg : rackets, shoes, socks, shirts and etc. And a lot of brands. Where should i start?

I am not all that familiar with this sport but I personally like niches on the larger side and think badminton as a whole is a good niche to start with.

Kyle - I am just getting started and am already stuck with the whole niche thing... I did the live chat to get thoughts but that was just too much opinion.

Here's my thought. I am passionate about all aspects of health and fitness. Particularly nutrition and spiritual health through meditation and mindfulness. I am in my 40s and have noticed there are about a million "health coaches" out there now selling programs, shakes, meal plans, etc but they do not seem to recognize that people of different ages need to approach health differently.

So, if I were looking for products, I would search for something like "how to be healthy in my 40s" or "nutrition for women in their 40s".

But the live chat people are telling me I need to be way more specific. One example was "how to get biceps in your 40s". I don't get it. A niche is one thing and it's important, but trying to make a living off something that specific doesn't make sense to me.

Do you have any thoughts?

Hi,

I think maybe the people on the live chat were confused as to what you might have been asking.

"how to get biceps in your 40s" is a good keyword to focus a single piece of content around, but it is way too specific for an entire site, as you said.

"how to be healthy in my 40s" or "nutrition for women in their 40s" would both work in my opinion. They are both narrowed down from the broad niche of health and fitness but they aren't too narrow. There is a lot you could do with them.

Next time you create email, when you go to setup email it gives you the smtp settings. If you click it you get incoming and outgoing info. I have only ever seen a password on the incoming but on this the outgoing has a password as well and its different than incoming...weird.

Hi,

For the email problem I would contact SiteSupport. You can submit a support ticket to them through the SiteRubix menu. They should be able to take care of that.

And I'm not exactly sure what you mean by and "outgoing" password?

I know there are real people here BUT i have worked on this problem since noon yesterday- constantly asking for help to no avail
I am surprised you have to ask me what the question is. I have posted it a dozen times.

I have bought several domain names on Rubix/ Word Press and two of them have the same domain name. I dont know how that could happen but if it is not changed i will have to abandon both sites- If I send someone to the site and the blank one comes up ???
How can this be fixed is the question. 2 sites with the same name. www.darrellswhatsup. com

I only get on this platform every morning and every night so that is the only time I can answer questions.

I see that your domain doesn't come up. I know you are going to be mad again because I can't help you.

What you are going to have to do is submit a ticket to SiteSupport. They are the technical support team here at WA.

If you go over to the SiteRubix menu you will be able to find SiteSupport.

They are around 24/7 to help out.

I agree, your problem doesn't make any sense and I have never heard of anything like that. But the guys and gals at SiteSupport will be able to figure it out.

Let me know if you have any other questions or need help,

-Kyle

thanks This had delayed me by at least a week. I have decided to regroup and plan exactly what i want to achieve and how to lay out a site.
This is all very new to me and if I get bogged down or can not learn it I will look elsewhere for hosting and site development. May even go to Shopify since I own about 1,000 shares of their stock. :)
There are, as you know several others that I am discovering. All of my life I have worked for myself and usually just tell others what I want done while i focus on the big picture. It has dawned on me that while I have worked way more than most employees, that my success has been in hiring the right people, explaining what I want done and getting out of their except to correct or help them.
I think that may be what i end up doing with online marketing.
