Good Questions That Were Asked
Here are some good questions that were asked and I thought I would answer them here.
This is the original blog post.

Let's see if I can answer some of your questions. @rdpshop
Since 2001 on the Internet I consistently make low 5 figure monthly income with occasional lapse into high 4 figure. That is not in any way saying, “Look at me.”
I am no better or worse than anybody else. If I can do it anyone can. I was lucky enough to find where to learn what works and dumb enough to not question it just do it. I did not try to reinvent the wheel.
How long did it take me to get there? About 2 years of trying to do it myself and less than a year after I became a student of what works.
How long before someone can make money. There is absolutely no way to tell. It all depends on you. Can someone make money in 30 days yes. Not many do.
Can someone have a full-time income in a year yes. Not many do.
It all depends on how quick you learn, how willing you are to apply what you learn and how consistent you are in what you do.
I don't know if this will inspire you to make money on the Internet or not but you have to learn what works and what doesn't.
There are tested and proven formulas for writing content. Just like the formula here that Kyle gives for writing a review. Those things work. There is a formula on how many sentences in a paragraph, how to write ad copy, how to write an ad and the list goes on.
If you learn what works and apply it then it works and if you don't learn what works then you can work long hours and nothing happens. Too often that story plays out.
That is why WA is here.
I did not get my start here at WA. What I learned I did not learn here. That is being honest. Even with that there are still things that I am learning here. I am going through the training step by step as it is all a great reminder and yes I still learn things. Also that way when I say it is good training I know it is because I looked at all of it.
The reason I am here because as I get older I have moved into helping people build a business on the Internet. I spent a lot of time one on one sending out emails, copy and paste and it got to be too much.
Then I found out Kyle and Carson had learned what I did. They learned what worked,
Why did they learn the same thing? Because it works.
They took action on what they learned and have a wonderful platform teaching it. They are teaching you what they did to build Wealthy Affiliate.
It was like finding a light at the end of a tunnel.
I greatly admire Kyle and Carson for all the hard work they did to make this platform. It was not easy to build and is not easy to maintain at the level they do.
I wholeheartedly started promoting WA for those reasons. I came here to WA because I can help my referrals and others learn what works without doing all the time-consuming work. WA teaches what works and I can send people here to learn and just answer questions for them.
It made my life much easier and gave me a lot more time to Interact with people.
The only reason you have not exceeded in affiliate marketing is not that there is something wrong with you. It is not that you have not worked hard enough. It is you have not had the opportunity to learn what works.
Seek out the knowledge you need, put it to action and things will change for you.

Great posts and excellent questions. All great points well taken.
Until now, I have primarily focused only on SEO for my website, but NOW I am ready to "roll my sleeves up" and immerse myself in the Affiliate marketing program. But I need to learn it the right way to get it right the "first" time.
Bo, as I mentioned in one of your previous posts and you agreed with me, I believe in learning the required material right before immediately applying what was learned.
I don't want to waste time to study something and learn it, let it go one month or two by getting distracted by different tangential material, forget important details I learned, then try to apply it incorrectly and fail. I believe in the Tim Ferris approach "Just in Time" learning is most effective. But I am a fast learner.
To get the most out of this WA progam in Affiliate Marketing and to start making money without extra "fluff" information, where should I start in the Affiliate Marketing training here - and in what chronology?
For instance, should I start first with the "Affiliate Classroom" or "Affiliate Bootcamp"? Are there sections that I can afford to skip?
I think the Bootcamp is worth checking out if you have no knowledge of marketing. The harder course is Certification. Between the pair of them you will learn everything there is to know. The trouble for me is remembering, so it was just like diving into ice water when I began 3 months ago. The Support help is fantastic. The truth is, jet, there are no short cuts if you haven't learned them before you got to WA.
Good luck,
Tracy
Thanks very much Tracy. Greatly appreciated. I'm not looking for shortcuts, just want to know what would be the most efficient use of time in using the training to hit the ground running.
I know how good the support is here, I just haven't focused on the affiliate marketing part yet. All the Best.
Everything you learn in them will be beneficial.
Just like boot camp is meant to be in the military the boot camp here is focused on getting you up and running as quickly as possible.
So I would start with boot camp. The good news is that many things you learn in Boot Camp you will be able to apply to your sites. You can learn a lot about building your sites from the affiliate training.
I would not skip any sections. Even if it is a review or reminder of something you already know.
I totally agree that it does no good to learn something then not use it for two or three weeks. It is almost like you never learned it. Learn it and right then pause what you are doing and put it in action.
Keep me posted of how the journey goes.
Thank you for this very helpful advice. I will start with Boot camp then, and keep you posted,
Good post, a lot of people want an overnight miracle, or things done by the snap of a finger, well it doesn't work that way. Everything in life that is worthwhile takes work. Wa is a good starting place to learn the foundation of this business, after that it's all up to you.

I glad you enjoyed it. It is always good when we write something to know someone enjoyed it or get something out of it.
