What is the Best Affiliate Marketing Program for Beginners?
Being able to earn a living on the internet is nothing new. Neither are the dreams of working whenever and wherever you like. And though this is very much possible, too many people fall for opportunities that sound great, easy, promising, simple or all of the above.
So for those of you who are still on the outside looking in, you may have heard of Affiliate Marketing. The concept is simple and there is no buying or selling involved. There is also no feeling of rejection by potential customers. Sounds great, right? So where do you start?
WHAT IS THE BEST AFFILIATE MARKETING PROGRAM FOR BEGINNERS?
First off it is important to remember that real affiliate marketing happens over the internet. It is an easy form of online marketing where you promote the products from a company's website, like Amazon. You generally promote products on a website or blog.
Now do not think this is a hard endeavor to accomplish. In fact it is quite easy if you learn how, create, build, manage and operate your online affiliate marketing business at Wealthy Affiliate. This is truly the BEST PLACE for any beginner in affiliate marketing.
Unlike other forms of marketing, like Multi-Level Marketing or MLM, in affiliate marketing you are not confined to any one or group of highly over priced products no one has ever heard of. In affiliate marketing you can promote anything from A to Z, Apple to Zoology products.
As a member of Wealthy Affiliate you can get EVERYTHING you need to become successful for as little as $0.86 per day. Yes, you read that correctly. You can become successful in affiliate marketing at WA for as little as 86 cents per day.
As a member you do not need to be tech savvy and can live anywhere in the world. The training available is designed for the complete beginner. Between the low price, ease of use, and ability to get quick help and support 24/7, WA is the best affiliate marketing program for beginners.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT WEALTHY AFFILIATE?

Before I started with WA in 2016, I looked into many other get rich programs. When describing their program, it started off good, I got a little excited and then they ask for money. It seem as though they were holding out on some information and I just didn't have truth in some of these programs. There was a couple of get rich programs that I almost joined but I decided to keep looking.
I am now here with WA and I feel good because before I joined, I knew that this was the right place for me. When I found out that I could have up to a certain amount of websites, certify courses, videos, people in the WA community to talk to, and more... Then I knew that Wealthy Affiliate was the right place to trust
-Brenda.
I agree with your sentiments totally, with WA, we actually learn to build our OWN business on our OWN domain, yet still get top class training that we can take outside the platform to businesses on the hight street
Like you, I have found either the final piece of the starting point with WA, it is the right place to be
I agree with you Dave. WA is the right place to be. Thank you for your comment and enjoy your weekend.

Though there are so many things I love about WA, the one thing that got me to take the first step and join was the 100% FREE Starter Membership. All I needed was a valid email address.
Whereas many of those other programs ask you for money to start, or they will promise you a money back guarantee. I see no harm or foul to let potential members to have a free trial.
If a program doesn't offer a free trial, then they care more about making money off of you than giving you a quality experience where you benefit. This is very rare in this industry and it's why WA is #1.
It's called Up Sells and it's a classic sales technique for those over hyped, under delivered programs. You'll never hear anyone call WA a get rich scheme.
Can you be successful implementing this training? Yes. Will it happen quickly? No. What is the key to success? Willingness to work hard, be patient, be persistent.
I live in the UK, this is a really good Post, thank you.
I found WA just over 3 years ago, I started in Network Marketing 20 years ago with Amway. It didn't work for me and many others on this side of "the Pond". There's a good reason, which I'll come to in a second.
I worked in Automotive Manufacturing from the age of 17 years (1973) and rose to the dizzy heights of Programme Manager for a major North American manufacturer of rear-view mirrors, plastics and electronics. I covered the accounts in Europe of an American Car Manufacturer called Ford Motor Company, you may have heard of it? This IS relevant, please read on.
During my 7 years at the height of my Career, I spent quite some time in and around Holland (Michigan), Detroit, Kansas and New Mexico. So I got to know enough about the American Way (sorry, I couldn't resist it!) and, despite our close historical connections, we are, generally, quite different.
In the U.S., "The Dream" is a tremendous driver and motivator, I wish that we had that here, but we Brits are much more reserved and suspicious of "promises" of wealth and fortune. Traditionalism is in our blood, as is scepticism! "Network Marketing" is immediately met with, "Oh, a pyramid scheme, making other people rich. No thanks."!
Boomer is right about MLM when it is product based. One of our oldest (97 years) and best known MLM companies, Kleeneze, went into Administration two weeks ago. They offered household, clothing and gardening products. Their demise is, mainly, down to focusing on "the way we've always done it" by Distributors going door-to-door. The Web was, at best, a second, if not third, priority. I know this because I just lost a good business that I had worked on for 12 years!
When the email arrived earlier today to notify me of this Post, I had to read it as I need to replace my Kleeneze income. The Affiliate Marketing opportunity here at WA is a no-brainer but I couldn't see it until now!
What do I like best about Wealthy Affiliate? The training is the best by far of anything that I can find but the number one is the friendliness, the willingness to help and getting answers to basic questions by people that I am never likely to meet.
If you want a quick insight into what I have learnt here, have a look at my Site - https://seanrwdougall.co.uk/ - when I started, I thought that HTML was a disease!
Sean.
P.S. My Site is still under development, if you spot any issues, please let me know.
your website looks great ! very impressed. i'm new to all this affiliate stuff . I've got two bricks and mortar stores in the UK . 20 Years of retail and hordes of physical products to buy , store etc has made me think of a new direction into the world of online , no stock , no staff , no massive overheads . Any advice Sean ? Even thinking of getting my sons to look in this direction as both got entreprenerial talents .
Hi Powey,
Thanks for your compliment, it's the best that I've done since starting. I have had SEVEN versions (Themes) over the past few years and I feel that I have finally found the right one for my niche - Network Marketing.
In the first ten training sessions, I overlooked the importance of finding the right Theme but trying various has taught me a lot in terms of design and the technical stuff behind a website.
My advice would be to take a good look at what is on offer here, make sure that it is right for you (and your Family), then make a gradual transition. You're absolutely right about stock, staff, overheads etc. and, if you follow the extensive training and advice here, your efforts to get customers through your "shop door" are a lot easier.
You'll be familiar with a Business Plan, Affiliate Marketing is no different - write your Plan and plan out your website. I missed that point early on and would have saved a lot of time had I, literally, sketched out how my website was to work.
Obviously I don't know (yet) what you retail but my initial reaction would be to look at what you do now and how you could utilise the Internet to enhance your footfall. On the 6 o'clock News last Friday, there was an item from Gloucester (my home City) about the demise of the big retailers but they also focused on a local company - https://www.cotswoldco.com/ - who have beaten the trend and, in the words of the owner, "moved with the times and become socially interactive using the internet".
Do your current suppliers offer "drop shipping" - whereby you become an Affiliate Marketer for them (like Amazon) - but you wouldn't handle any product?
As Robert says in his Post here, traditional MLM's offer highly priced products in order to pay out the commissions, so reward versus effort isn't that high. You could investigate your margin selling the products from your suppliers as an Affiliate, taking into account that you won't have the overheads.
Another piece of advice that I would offer is to market yourself and start local. I was going to conquer the World but have found much greater success by promoting myself within Gloucestershire. Brits still like to "press the flesh"! The networking element has taken my business all over the UK and Ireland.
I started this in my late 50's, your Sons would grasp it overnight, so definitely involve them if they're interested.
Stay in touch, we can use the messaging within W.A.
Sean.
Sean , thanks for heads up . Really really appreciate it . Start local advice is exactly what i had been thinking about this week. Its where i began all efforts bricks store nr 20 odd yrs ago. Ive been contemplating change as regards from retail to a possible online coaching or networking program. I love people ! Love to inspire and to assist others make a great life for themselves. It excites me to think of how many online lives you can reach. Local is great too ! Work from around and then out i suppose.
By the way i used to buy stock in Gloucestershire. Lydney. Lovely area. Stayed in the Forest of Dean only a few years ago too. Great couple of days to re charge !
Keep in touch and wishing you loads of success.
Sean, what a great post, nice to see another Brit commenting on this post, didn't know you were ex kleeneze, i was a distributor twice and found it incredibly hard work, but sorry to hear their demise
That aside, you are in the right place here for sure
That is a great story Sean. I too was sucked into the whole Amway experience by one of my sisters and spent more money than I made. What a waste of time.
Affiliate Marketing is 100 times better than MLM and what we learn here at WA for the super low cost is downright AMAZING. I have never found a better opportunity with many ways to earn money than what we all have here.
I just moved to Montana last summer from Oregon. I like the support I get here and the lessons. The support makes me more confident that I can do all this "techy" stuff that before was too overwhelming. The lessons are short but engaging in that I have to do something in the process and progress on my own business.
The one mistake that people make when they hear about Wealthy Affiliate is they think it is a program you follow to earn a lot of money. This is totally not true.
Wealthy Affiliate is more like an online university where we learn everything we need to create, build and operate a successful online affiliate marketing business. If WE do not make an effort, we will fail, just like what happens when one graduates from college.
Robert
Great post I live in northern california in Suisun valley.Just a fifteen-minute drive from the world famous Napa valley.
I'm going through a career change with very little computer knowledge. I was getting tired losing money trying to find an online business. That's when I found wealthy affiliates try itmmfor free. Yes no credit card just an email address and a name, sign up and check it out.
It didn't take me very long to up grade to premium.Or to figure out I had found something legitimate. To help me learn how to build a successful online business.
Doug
I agree Doug. I really liked the idea of joining WA for FREE and without any credit card information needed. Once in and taking the training, I too realized that WA was the real deal.
Plus I could tell by the quality of the training and the really low price for it, that WA was not going to rip me off and milk money out of me like the majority of other online opportunities.
I have been a long time member of WA, since 2009, to be exact. Prior to finding WA, I got involved in a lot of the so-called "get rich quick" schemes. The ones that claim you can make large sums of money almost overnight with little to no effort. Sadly all I got was an empty wallet.
WA is different. They provide such detailed training on how to achieve success online, and everyone is so very supportive and willing to answer questions.
I have personally used some of the skills I have learned at WA in crafting better listing descriptions for my e-commerce shops, as well as to land freelance work. The SEO skills taught at WA are more than worth their weight in gold.
Even when I stray from WA, it is the one source I always come back to becuase I know the training works!
I think a majority of members here at WA have experienced the same as you Jennifer. I too had fallen for those so-called opportunities that sounded too good to be true. Also like many others it was an MLM that drained my wallet.
When I joined WA in 2013 I wasn't looking to start in affiliate marketing. Back then I thought affiliate marketing was just another dead end like Multi-Level Marketing. I joined to learn how to build my own ecommerce website.
But once I started the training, I realized how legitimate and simple the affiliate marketing process was. Once I learned that the majority of well-known corporations deal with affiliate marketing and NOT MLM, I was hooked!
Like you, and I am sure many others here, with the knowledge I have gained from the training has lead me to land several freelance projects over the years, helping other website and small business owners.
Not only did I learn about the simple make money online process of affiliate marketing, but the SEO, keyword research and content creating skills have earned me money in other endeavors. All thanks to WA.
Hi Robert, nice post!
Pam and I are from the United States but we don't call any place in this country home as our home is on wheels. We live full time in an RV and have been doing so since 2008.
I first found Wealthy Affiliate in 2011 and started my first website in order to create online income. Already being a transient person I knew that an online business was a great way to go.
I like Wealthy Affiliate because it is for me the best source for learning how to be proficient in the skillset needed to make money online. The lesson modules started me off off with the basics, and over time I was abe to build to the point of having an online presence in my niche, and recognition from the search engines.
Years later I continue to learn all the little tricks that are necessary to continue to grow my online business. There are always new things to be learned here in Wealthy Affiliate!
As Robert said, for less than a dollar a day, there is no better place to receive detailed training modules, live training webinars, website hosting, superior keyword search tools, and a host of other included member services.
And I started here for free, no strings attached, to be able to check it out! Once I did I knew this was the right place for me!
One of my dreams on my Bucket List is to rent, or buy, an RV and travel to every state. Visit my family and friends spread out all over the country and take in the views. You cannot get that from getting in a plane.
Thankfully I already know that because of the great training here at WA, my knowledge in online marketing will help me to achieve that Bucket List dream at some point. Even with my prior knowledge of the Internet, I still learn new things as a member here.
Life in general is a constant learning process and the life of a successful online business owner is no different. By being a member here at WA, everyone both newbie and experienced can interact, share stories and offer help. I know I will be here for life.
Yes, Sir. Agreed!
As far as the RV bucket list item, definitely rent one first to try it out and see if you like it. There are so many types out there that it is foolish to buy one without much previous experience.
When you are ready Robert, check back with me. I would be happy to consult with you on getting yourself into the lifestyle.
Have a blessed day.
I am from the UK. What do I like best? Well I am not sure, as so far I have loved everything about WA. The training is second to none, and the community spirit is some thing I have never come across before. I suppose I would have to say the best bit is all of it.
Derek
I agree with you Derek. It is hard to pinpoint what is the best aspect of WA since so much of it is awesome. We all will have different viewpoints, with some being our favorites. And then we all will have common likes, such as the best training, low cost, and helpful community.
Possibly what I like most of all is that every single day without fail I am learning something new. It might be a tutorial or training that I haven't yet covered or a question that somebody else has asked. I might be a newbie for life in this regard.
Thanks, Robert.
Brian
This is very true Brian. Everyone of us are always learning something new. I know that though I may have knowledge in many techniques, I do know that I still have plenty more to eagerly learn.
I wrote 7 Reasons Why Choosing Wealthy Affiliate Among Others, I think I mention almost there about WA, I don't have an idea what to write for another article,
You are completely right like me no background but it easy for me to understand and follow the training thanks to Sir he made it simple for Us beginners can understand and follow easily.
Now a lot of improvement and I noticed have this hidden skills just discovered lol!!
We all have hidden skills and talents that we do not realize. But because of the simplicity of the WA training, we soon find out what those skills are. This training is also a big confidence builder.

Hello Boomer, the bajan lady is checking in. I'm still here, had lost my way and took a break but I'm back for the long haul. WA is definitely the best program in the internet world and I'm so happy to have joined. I've had exposure to internet marketing before but nothing compares to this community of committed people. You may ask why did I take a break. I was not an unbeliever about this program but I must have been an unbeliever of how I'd finally found a free and honest program, which I never believed existed. Some of the programs I'd joined was never about your success but rather how much they could pull out of your pocket every month and leave you to swim, sink or drown. Kyle and Carson are magnets, I'm still very much in awe of their insight to make this program so foolproof. Anyway, thanks so much for your posts and enlightenment. Hopefully, one day we'll meet and exchange info about our bajan roots. Until your next post or mine. Be blessed.
Thank you Pearlene.
There are so many reasons why Wealthy Affiliate is the best affiliate marketing training program on the internet. But one area that NO OTHER can match is how helpful they are in YOUR success without asking you to pay extra.
Like you said, every other training program online is always asking you to pay extra for more and more advanced training. Here at WA, all of the training is provided for one price. There are NO UPSELLS here at Wealthy Affiliate.
