I just finished going through Loes training to configure the GDPR
compliance plugin. But when I test it by entering my email I get the
following error:
I read your message because I had tons of trouble with my GDPR. It took me about 3 weeks to finally get it done correctly. However, I did not use Loes' training. For my contact form I got the "Hello Bar" plugin. Now that it's finally on there correctly, I am satisfied with it. Hope you get it all figured out.
Thanks! I do use Aweber for email list building, but just trying to have a generic "Contact us" page, if a visitor has a question. That was my sole purpose for the form. Can the Hello Bar do that?

Error when testing wp gdpr compliance plugin setup?
I just finished going through Loes training to configure the GDPR
compliance plugin. But when I test it by entering my email I get the
following error:
Hey Jennifer,
All I can suggest is that by following Kyle's advice: GDPR Compliance. Our Official Take. I have had no issues at all with any of my sites.
Perhaps you could go back to Loes' training and leave a comment explaining your issues. That way, Loes may very well offer you a simple fix.
Hope you find this helpful.
I saw in the notes that someone else was experiencing an issue with the Comment form and she replied that she has no experience with the Contact Form 7, and to ask others for help.
And now, in looking at the FAQ for the plugin, it seems it's performing as described by the developer: https://www.wpgdprc.com/faq/
Why do I get an error when visiting the data request page?
To keep your visitors’ data secure we made the Data Request Page only available to the same device with the same IP address and the same browser session the request was performed from. If any of these do not match an error is shown and the data cannot be accessed.
Ahh... another good reason to use the setup Kyle suggested. You and Fran make me very happy that I followed Kyle's method.
It MIGHT be quicker for you to stop... uninstall what you did and then follow Kyle's advice. Just a thought...
Thing is I am using the very same plugin that Kyle suggests in his post, the WP GDPR Compliance Plugin. The setting where the issue occurs is the form that gives people the ability to request to have their data removed.
Didn't realize that WP now has it built in. Is that what you use?
Yes, I am using the plugin that Kyle suggested we use and I set it up according to Marion's instructions here: GDPR: Installing and Setting up the WP GDPR Compliance Plugin
I saw that one and I think that is where the issue lies, I have the Contact form that's not shown in her configuration. If you have a recommendation on another contact form, please let me know.
But I thought you said you followed Loes' instructions? I use Contact Form 7 without any issue.
