Pinterest is wanting me to claim my wordpress website by adding a HTML tag:
Add HTML tag
Paste this tag into the section of your site’s index.html file

I figured out what I did wrong. I am only to paste from the quotation marks after content. Not the whole meta tag...

D0B6F036C1E37CFE10447D9A000197C9"

not: <meta name="msvalidate.01" content="D0B6F036C1E37CFE10447D9A000197C9" />

Hey Crystal,
I agree with Trish!!!

Tried and True

Elaine

I've used the Header and Footer Plugin. I found that was the easiest way to add the info that Pinterest wants to verify your site without messing with the files. I'm always afraid I'll wipe out critical data.

I have a video for this, I'll PM you

Is there a reason why when I push the"update options" tab in the All in One SEO that it is not saving the tags I put in there? I added the Google and Bing tags as well as Pinterest and it is not saving my options.

If you have the All In One SEO plugin. There is a spot in there that you paste the code on. Similar to the way you do for Google Analytics.

Authoring & Writing Content
Updated

My posts that I write, are about a subject that has a lot of content online. So when I go to publish it, it shows that it is not UNIQUE. I have to write true statements about

The search engines rank unique content higher than non-unique content. It's okay to have the same information, but it must be written in your own words.

That I do understand... that is what I do, unless I am quoting it or citing its source. I do not want to plagiarize.

The posts you write, are they copied from other content and then have very few adjustments made?

That would be the only way that it would not be unique, in my experience.

There is nothing wrong with taking the content you have found, copying it too word, then adjusting it to the way you would write, doing this is called curated content, so it would be unique to you, obviously.

Does this help?

Not usually, it is nutritional info that has been researched and written by myriads of people. I just need to adjust my wording even more so with the rest of the content. A little trickier than I thought. Thanks for your insight. It does help, at least some.

I have found this also to be a problem. When this happens, I attempt to rewrite it in my own words, using various synonyms.

I hope this helps.

Bob

Thanks Bob. That is what I am working to perfect.

I like Gary's idea below of making quotations images!

Unique content is ranked higher than non-unique content. Usually, when your content appears to be non-unique it is because of a commonly used phrase or cliche. There is always a way to rephrase a sentence or paragraph so it is unique.

If there are large patches of text that you cannot change to make unique make the patch of text an image. For an example, if your post is about the well know Gettysburg Address which would never appear unique, make the quoted portions of the Address an image.

Thanks, Gary. I will try more images and even videos to get my point across.
