What is it with all of these Non-Success Blogs?

I am in the process of gathering WA Success blogs for a page on my website to link to, and possibly get referrals in the process. However I am finding soooo many blogs that have nothing to do with members experiencing success within WA.

WHAT IS A SUCCESS POST?

If you are making progress in the training, got your first commission, made it to Google page 1, got your website indexed, became a premium member, made it into top 200, and any other aspect where YOU experience success within WA or with your website business, then click the green "Success Post?" button.

If you were to go and view all of the "Success" posts on the WA Activity feed, I am sure you will see what I am seeing, a ton of posts that have nothing to do with a member having success. As seen in the below image it clearly says, "Blog about Your Success Here!"

But I am seeing posts about how to do certain things with WordPress, content creation, questions about social media, and other general topics. Is it just me or are there a lot of misplaced blogs within the success post feed? Go to the Activity feed, click on Success at the top of the screen between the words "Popular" and "Everyone" and scroll through the list and see what I see.

CLICK ON BLUE PUBLISH BUTTON

If you are not posting a WA blog about your success within WA, your website success, or any other of the examples I gave at the beginning of this post, then click the blue publish button in the bottom right corner of the blog editor.

I just think it looks bad when you have new members go to the success blog feed and sees blogs that have nothing to do with personal success. Kyle says in his WA Walkthrough video for new members, that many members are posting success blogs regularly. Even though that is true, seeing blogs that are not about success makes looking for success blogs a hassle.

OK, Rant Over.

Didn't sound like a rant to me Robert. It sounds more like common sense. I have sent members to the success tab when they were looking for success posts until I had a look for myself.

I think everyone can post what they desire, but as you point out there is another button to use to accomplish this. That would keep the success post tab just that.

That is exactly my point Tim. Any kind of success a member experiences in their training and online business journey should be posted in the Success forum. But posts about WordPress functionality, content creation, using social media, inspirational, and general posts should just be published in the general forum.

Yessir! I agree

I'm along the lines with Rick.

In many cases, some measure their success in growth within WA. Not so much monetarily.

I never said it should be only monetarily. Success comes in all forms. But blogging about general things that have no relevance to personal success in a members journey in their online business should not be in the Success forum. Just publish it in the regular blog forum.

My apologies, I must have misinterpreted your blog. I that case, I agree with you wholeheartedly.

I guess there should be a blog tutorial that is included with the tour of WA.

No need to apologize.

People just need to ask themselves, is this blog about my personal success within WA and my online business journey? And if not, do not click the Success Post? button.

You are so right.

You are so right about your rant. People need to put their blogs in the right categories and places on WA. Online affiliate marketing is confusing enough, especially to a newbie. Members don't need to make it anymore confusing by putting their blogs in the wrong place.

I think WA should hire someone to monitor these blogs, either that or have a button beside each blog where members can report inappropriate blogs. I believe that something like this would make the WA website look more professional.

If people would just use some common sense and not click Success Post? button when the post is not about them achieving some kind of success, should be good enough. But blogging about how to leave comments in WordPress or something in general should just be in the regular blog forum.

Should they be only specifically about the things learned here at WA, or can they be general examples of success that one can observe and also learn from?

According to the green button at the top of the Success forum feed, it can be about Your Success, either here at WA or anything else having to do with your progression in an online business.

I was aware that we had a success blog, thanks for the info !

You are welcome.

I think success may be in the eye of the beholder. Like Kyle says, "If you don't like it, move on to the next one." :)

This is true, and I have done that many times. But like I said below, if you are not blogging about achieving some level of success, why would you post a general blog in the forum for success blogs? Kyle & Carson created that separate feed for a purpose.

That's true and the purpose must make sense to someone who is deciding whether to join or not.

Exactly. Because Kyle says in his walkthrough video to new members that many members post success blogs everyday. So if a newbie should go and look and see blogs that are not related to achieving some form of success, what will they think?

I feel like the inspirational-type posts help people achieve success by keeping their attitudes in the right places. I just like the wide variety of posts. They all have merit, and I don't want to be the one who decides whether one or another contributes more to our success. Wayne Dyer was highly influential in people's success, Though not in a technical sense.

There is nothing wrong with inspirational posts. But if they are not relevant to the personal success of the person posting the blog, then they should just be published with the rest of the general blogs. The success forum is for people to blog about their success in their training and successful experiences with their online business.

Perhaps this success page should have some functionality to filter out/remove non-success posts.

I think people should just know better than to click the button that says Success Post? if it is not a post about them achieving some kind of success with their learning or online business.

True, ppl should know better but unfortunately that is not the case. A function or a moderator might be part of the answer.

This is true and Michael (Ultimateless) above came up with a great functionality feature that just might help in the interim.

I for one am getting very frustrated with the nonsense blogs that are posted.
No real value except for trying to increase their Ranking.

Though some can be inspirational, which I don't mind, some other ones can be of no value. Even though I sometimes post humor blogs, I always tie them to learning something that will help the community build a better website or understand something better.

I used to write on a site that stated "write your world". That really doesn't apply here.

That sounds familiar. Was that Bubblews?

Great rant Robert, yes Success has many ways. Thanks. ..

Yes, success comes in many forms.

I successfully posted a video of a cat on YouTube. Just not got round to doing the blog post yet.

Congrats! :)
