How to Write Effective Blogs
You are excited and have something you want to share with the world, so you write blogs. But do you know how to write effective blogs for good search engine optimization results? Don't get me wrong, it is still okay to write blogs just to write and share your ideas. However if you are writing a blog for money, then you need to consider how you go about writing it effectively.
For example, 80% of the blogs that I write here at Wealthy Affiliate I do for two reason, to help educate all of my readers and to in some way enhance my online business. I do the latter by linking back to these blogs from within relevant content on my websites. There is also another way to make money with my blog.
DID YOU KNOW?
Every single one of these blogs that all of you are writing here within Wealthy Affiliate (WA) are not just visible to the WA community, they are visible to the entire internet world. Did you know that? Just like your websites are visible to the entire World Wide Web (www), so are these blogs that you are writing here.
If you write these blogs effectively, with the proper use of keywords for good seo, your blogs will rank highly in Google just like your website content. All of these blogs you are writing, including this one you are reading, are being indexed into Google. So if someone who is not a WA member reads this blog (or any of yours) and becomes intrigued enough to want to join WA, I (or you) will make money from that person joining.
Do you see why it is a smart idea to write some or all of your blogs with the same seo techniques that you use for your website? If you use proper seo guidelines within your blogs they will rank higher in Google. If they rank higher then more people will see them and perhaps one or more who see and read them may be inclined to join WA and thus you will make money from that.
SEO TIPS FOR BETTER BLOGS
If you are a member of Wealthy Affiliate I am sure you have already learned (or are about to learn) how to write your content effectively using keywords. The training that all members get here at WA, both Starter and Premium, teaches us how to find and then use keywords in our content. You just have to apply those same guidelines that you do for your website creation to your blog creation too.
Choose good keywords to use for your title, place those keywords in the first paragraph of your content and write naturally after that. For example, the keyword I used for this blog post is “how to write effective blogs” and as you can see it is repeated in the first paragraph of this blog. I was also able to place two other keyword phrases within the first paragraph as well. No I’m not going to tell you what they are. Let's see if you are smart enough to find them. Hehehe
Use the knowledge that you have acquired here at WA to not just write better website content but to also write better blog posts. Make sure to proofread your content a couple of times, correcting any spelling and grammar issues where needed. You never know who will be reading your blogs from outside of WA and it would be a shame if what you write in your blogs gives you and/or WA a bad reputation. So blog smartly people!

Thanks for this Robert. It has exploded a bomb down the back of my trousers which has propelled me into action concerning this aspect of my business!
Hi Stevejf, I agree I need to be more savvy with this but hope you did not have to get the nurse in!!!
@Robert, seriously though for some reason I wasn't fully aware of the importance of our WA blogs. I'm grateful that you've brought it to my attention :-)
You are welcome Steve. Yes, every single one of our WA blogs gets indexed into Google. This is why the majority of the blogs I write here at WA are created like my website content so that I cannot only get good seo from it but I can also reference it from within any relevant content on my website.
Many members blog within WA just to blog or express an opinion, and I do too from time to time, but most of the time I do it for business reasons. I write so that I can not only educate but also further the knowledge that I am providing on my website.
I like you subject very much, and yes smart blogging is always a good thing here at WA or else where, as it can get shared around and this is what we all want...? Then some clicks back to your site for credits, yes please.
Thank you.
My guess would be "writing a blog for money" and "make money with my blog". Great information that I had no clue about, I'm going to start calling you Professor if that is alright?
Jack
My guess is "writing a blog" and I have to agree with Lemm on "writing a blog for money"...
As always, thanks for your information and education.
You are welcome Della.
"writing a blog for money" is one of them but you guessed wrong on other one. :)
Good points about writing good content with keywords. I do have a question about links though? It's mostly taught to use no more than 2 links per page. I just published a page about relieving back pain and exercises to strengthen the back. I have like 4 links because I'm trying to explain different things that can help. Is it too much?
No that's fine. I use 4 and sometimes 5 links per page and have no problems with the amount. As long as you do not do that many all the time and on every page.
I'd guess the other keywords are "writing a blog for money" and "way to make money with my blog" or shortened derivatives of these keywords.
I have a question. You mentioned in your last blog "When is a WA Affiliate Link Not and Affiliate Link" that he/she will not be able to look at other blogs and posts in WA until he joins WA. However if the blogs and posts in WA are visible to the whole internet, then this implies that he/she can look as many posts and blogs as he/she wants. Then who would get the credit here?
NIce post again....thanks for posting.
The person who is the creator of the blog the person is reading when that person joins.
Example: If the person is looking at my blog post and then goes back to Google and clicks on another WA Blog post from member B and then leaves and finds your blog post on Google, clicks on it and then joins, you will get the credit because they joined while reading your blog.
Again, like Kyle says in his video, if someone is reading your blog and clicks anywhere on the WA website they will be prompted to join WA.
The only way someone else will get credit is if they leave your blog post and thus WA and enter WA from another members blog post.

You were right about "writing a blog for money" but the other keyword phrase was not the one I intentionally used.
