Can't Decide on a Niche? Here's One We All Know

So many times I see new members here at WA having trouble finding a niche. I really believe that this is because newbies really do not know how simple it is to find a niche. We are all surrounded by niches and we all are involved in many different niches.

Do you wear shoes? That's a niche. Do you like to cook? That's a niche too! Practically everything you wear and do are all niches because billions of other people wear and do the same thing. Finding a niche is really quite simple, but for some reason many make it more difficult than it needs to be.

HERE IS A GOOD ONE

Part of the problem is that people are looking for that magic bullet niche, the kind that will make them rich. But that is NOT how you should approach selecting a niche. Like Kyle and many others have said, any niche can be a profitable niche. But since people like popularity, here's a niche mostly all of us are involved in.

YOUR CAR - The automotive niche is HUGE and has a ton of sub niche categories that you can target. Think about how some people are with their automobiles. I can just think of how I was, and to a small extent still am, with the vehicles I have owned.

I have always enjoyed riding in a clean car with the shiny Armor All tires and polished chrome wheels. Then there was a time when I had a car with tinted windows and additional fog lights. Just try to think of all of the hundreds of different products that are available for cars and trucks.

PERSONALIZATION

People LOVE to personalize their vehicles either modestly with a special license plate frame or boldly by adding LED lights for a visual effect. Just because you may not be into any kind of car modifiction, which is an ENORMOUSLY HUGE & PROFITABLE niche market, still does not mean you cannot choose this niche.

All of us either have an automobile or have driven in one. Just think of all of the things one could promote to make money on. Some of these sub niches could be stand-alone products and some could be bundled together. Here are some, just in case you are still unsure of what could be promoted.

License Plate Frames

Run Flat Tires

Custom Chrome Wheels

Bed Liners for Pickup Trucks

LED Headlights or Auxilary Lighting

Seat Covers

Glass Tinting

Roadside Emergency Kits

Battery Charger & Jumper Cables

Reflective Windshield Sun Shades

WeatherTech Floor Mats

Custom Floor Mats

Leather Steering Wheel Wraps

Car Wash & Wax Sealant

Windshield Mounts for GPS/Phones

Those are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to different products that are all sub niches of the very broad niche of automobiles. Next time you are in your vehicle either look around at all of the things that you use in and on your car or look at all of the accessories that other vehicles have.

SO MUCH TO CHOOSE FROM

It will make your head spin at all of the different items one could promote when it comes to cars. People love their cars, and in some cases a little too much, but there is a ton of money to be made in this niche because there are trillions of people that have some form of an automobile, some have more than one!

So if you are having trouble finding a niche, why not consider one of the many different kinds of sub and sub sub niches within the automobile niche? Remember, we are ALL exposed to this niche on an almost daily basis and so are most other people in this world. Might as well make some money off of it.

If I understand your blog. You should find the niche' and disect it into smaller parts. And work from there. Thanks

Yes, that is how you should go about doing a niche website. Start narrow and focused and grow broader as time goes by and you start running out of things to write about of what you started with.

Great post Boomer!

Thank you William.

I like the way you are thinking!! Honestly, this also serves as a reference for anyone to discover other niches and sub-niches they may find interesting too

Thank you. I used the example of the automobile niche because it is a niche we are all familiar with because the majority of us drive. A niche is simply something many people do and/or enjoy, which means we are all into many different yet common/popular niches.

Mr. Robert
I specialised in Marine Insurance . I love unit trust or mutual fund, property and quality lifestyle. Can I put all the niche into one website using my personal name?

Hi - you could, but your visitors would most likely get confused about what your website is for, and who it's aimed at.

I suspect Google etc would also get confused, and not rank you as well as it could, if you had a number of sites focussed on individual niche's.

You can still have all the sites under your name - but I would suggest splitting them, so if someone comes to your site looking for quality lifestyle hacks/info, they don't find themselves reading about the latest real estate for sale.

It could all be linked - if they all help your visitor achieve the same end-goal - but if each goal for each area is separate, I would have separate sites.

All the best, Mark

thanks for the advise Mr. Mark Tait.

sites under your name - but I would suggest splitting them, Mr. Mark Tait, can you elaborate this point and how shall I go about it?

I would not put all into one website. That would not be good for your website visitors and definitely not your Google rankings. Kyle tells you this in the training.

thanks for the advice Mr. Robert

You are welcome.

That will be a great help to many Robert :)

Thank you Jude. I hope it opens people's minds into the many possibilities for a niche we all partake in.

Great stuff Robert. people do love their automobiles!

I know many people who love them as much as a family member. I even know people who have had their other half complain that more time is spent on the car than on them. lol

Very good approach to thinking up sub niches within a niche. To go a little further- stickers, rugs of different kinds, some hanging mascots... etc... etc....

Yes, you could definitely go further with the sub niches. There are just sooo many of them, and you can even be car specific like parts and accessories for convertibles only or for pickup trucks only.

Oh yeah, it's a good example of breaking anything into smaller parts and a kind of, enlarging them after that...:)

Very informative post, what I learned is to think outside the box. Thanks.

Always think outside of the box when possible, and when it comes to the automobile niche, there are hundreds of sub niches one could promote once narrowed down.

With a car like that, Robert....YES.... but I don't think it works with a Toyota Starlet build in 1997

It doesn't matter the year or make. Every car should have a roadside emergency kit, can use seat covers and floor mats, needs car wash and wax sealant, and a host of other items.

Haha, carwash? Oke, I guess there are people treating their car differently as me;)

There are tons of people who treat their cars like extended members of the family............And that is not a joke. :)

Yes, I know they exist, Robert, I am not one of them:)

You're right Boomer people make it to hard. Niches and sub niches are everywhere. Your car example proves that.

I've always wanted to be the "global condom king" and sell condoms online but I got sidetracked with mustard. Do you realize how many people like and use mustard?

I've often thought that there may be huge money in tooth brushes and portable spittoons.

There are probably more varieties of condoms than there are of mustard, but both are widely used the world over.

Can you imagine writing about it day in and day out?Would you have enough imagination?...:))
